Hey first of all, thanks for the tutorial. I am most interested in getting Gran Turismo 3+4 working (at least work, for starters) Initial D SpecialStage (JAP). Then theres Shadow of the Colossus, Zone of the Enders, Burnout and other games of that magnitude. you got my Initial D from 40-50 to 55-60 FPS. still wish it was faster.

ASUS laptop Intel Core i7 with 8 CPUs 2.2Ghz each. Intel HD Graphics and Nvidia GeForce GT540M 1gb (or 2.7gb i think) and 4gb RAM. Tips on increasing speed?

I forgot to mention that ive been increasing my fps as hard as I can on my PCSX2. im using 0.9.9.4891 and with as many recommended settings and dedication, I still havent been able to run a game as well as it logically should. I see people running these games but I'm guessing its just my 4gb of RAM that just aren't cut out for full fps. I was planning on increasing it to 16gb after the warranty, though.

@RuiisuKorobase Hhaha i have 2Gb of RAM and i run games perfectly. Anyway more RAM will increase the VU Hack smoothnes. That means more RAM = No flickering at full Speedhacks. Sorry but no help available for your PC O.o

@MaximumCore1911 Hey, just thought you should know, I fixed the unexplainable slowness with the Intel(R) Core i7. It chose the wrong graphics card out of the 2 available.

To make sure PCSX2 starts up with your good graphics card:

(1) Right click your PCSX2.exe.

(2) Select: "Run with graphics processor" -> "Choose default graphics processor" -> *Select PCSX2.exe & your high-performance card*.

(3) Apply configurations on this video.

@allconversefull Thanks for calling me like that. The only problem here is your CPU. Dunno if you can/or OC it, but i thing you won't have full speed either. Sorry there's nothing i can do. Just try to increase SpeedHacks to max and see what framerate you can get.

@ISetYourFaceOnFire "Memcards" is just my personal file. And yes to have PCSX2 fully working you must have the following things on the descripction. Otherwise it may ocurr different problems.

As with everything related to gaming on pc, you still need a decent graphics card to go with the processor. Even if you have a core i7, if you have a shitty card then games will lag.

@MaximumCore1911 Nah I changed it to 1280x720 still lags idk why I did it exactly the same that you did BUT my version was a liiiiiiittle but higher than yours so I didn't make the choices you did at the beginning because they were different...for example I didn't have DirectX 11 as a choice I had Dx9 and 10 even though I originally have DirX 11 hardware GT 540m, also the choices at the first time setup were almost completely different so I couldn't do anything the same...HELP!

@acem37 Hello. GSdx11 requires a DirectX11 capable graphic card + Windows 7 to enable this feauture. If you don't have any of these you cannot enable GSdx11.

@acem37 Haha you lost it? I told you that there is no "special" GSdx plugin for DX11. That can be enabled in the same GSdx plugin as DX9 or DX10. Anyway the link is in the descripction to get the lastest PCSX2 (ensuring GSdx) if that's what you need.

@MaximumCore1911 thank you very much for posting this guide, was very useful as a reference, but i have two questions. 1) if you set the speed hacks bar all way to the right,..it will give you false FPS numbers and plus it will slowdown even more,the emulation, plus you will have skipping FMVs. isn`t better to set them to the middle? 2) what`s better? microVU or Super VU? cose i`ve been testing both,. and with the late one i get more fps but in some games you can see some minor glitches.

@TioUltros 1) If you put the SpeedHack bar all the way right you'll gain good fps. But your game wil be very buggy. Yes you will gain some fake fps unfortunally, and make your gameplay looks sketchy.

2) Well MicroVU got some nice hacks with high compatibility. I would say that this is better for graphics.

@FlightSimMonsterTeam 60fps is a limit and 50fps is the limit for different games. But the matter is to reach this framerate... Please increase all speedhacks from left to right also check all boxes exept MTVU is you don't have more than 3 Cores of Cpu.

hi!1, i have a problem. i was using this emulator to play kingdom hearts and everything was perfect, now i'm playing forr the second time the game but something happened, i saved the game and closed the game to play KH:COM,but i couldn't see the intro of the game, well then i wanted to continue playing the first game but now it's slow, in some parts it slows down and that never happened before,i unistalled the game, confiured again the setting, download another emulator but its still slow..

@leyitah2 Nah that's wierd. You might have too many programs opened that are draining your CPU and RAM.

Also for the dissapearing intro check if "Skip Mpeg" hack is enabled. Disable it.

Or if this doesn't help try increasing the speedhacks or Restart the computer.

The huge breakedown of your performance in a moment might be some kinda of a taken virus or something is damaged in yourHardware. You might wanna check if your AnitVirus is scaning.

Hey man, I should have fine specs, but I don't seem to be able to play games very well.

I've got 6GB RAM at 1333 MHz I think, an i7 960 @3.2 GHz (Quad) and 2 GTX 560 Ti's.

Games like Ratchet and Clank 3, and Gladiator run at only 40-50 FPS though. Any help?

1- not all games are equally soft on the cpu (some games will run at full speed even with low specs pc without speed hacks while others will require faster cpu and speedhacks to run fluently)

2- there's no such thing as a global best configuration because every game has its best settings configuration

4- some games (in my case, soul calibur 2 and 3) play faster on previous versions of pcsx2

1) Raise your SpeedHacks from left to right and make sure you check every box exept 3+ Cores Speedhacks!

2) Open Run > dxdiag > Disiplay.

3) If this speedup doesn't work you have to upgrade your PC. Check the system requirements on Description.

4) Why do you have 64 bit Windows when you have only 2Gb of RAM? It's really slow! Downgrade to 32 bit. It will be faster!
