Before seeing "If it, s over", I commented that it was the best performance of the history, but it, is that now seeing "Vision of love", I think that it is impossible to say which has been the Mariah.'s best performance has many PERFECT songs!!

her voice one of the best ever.so strong powerful beautiful and light (very important) at the same time.Aguilera or any other singer with strong voice in pop music will never sing so lightly as Mariah.Mariah is always the best.

it was bad for her not to change the song or do some freestyle because she's so good people thought she was lipping which of course she was not. she hit that whistle as if it was the easiest thing in the world, now her whistles sound like she's dying.

Because Mariah said her favorite music has always been hip hop and R&B. She stated that when she first came out, she was forced to sing pop Whitney Houston-ish music. She started making the type of music she liked.

Wrong. She wasn't forced musically, her image was forced. She wrote her first album. Why would she write something she didn't want to? However when she got the inspiration to add a rapper to her music, the record label said no. She did it anyways... that's how it came to be.

Mariah wanted to sing the music she sings now. She created that genre when she did the Fantasy remix with ODB. She just changed her style. Most talented artists do this. You can't stay the same forever. I think she's done quite well considering she just had her record breaking #1 "Touch My Body".

Leona lewis and mariah are both quite similar, in that of there ability to have flawless control over there voices, leona has a whispery soft voice, and can reach very high notes, not as high as mariah's but its possible leona could acheive it i mean technically leonas voice isnt fully matured yet 22..and your voice donsent fully mature until your late 20's so who knows what will happen.

Actually she doesn't sing all that much different her tone was more huskier then and her mid Range seemed better but her notes and stuff she is amazing although i do think she needs rest cause during this past tour she was not at her best.

nothing, im just saying mariahs ballads were alot better.. her slow stuff.. i mean i still like what she does to day, like WBT for example an amazing song.. but then "Say Somethin" or "Get Your Number" just dont appeal.. mariah has a slow floaty voice for ballads or dance tunes like Emotions & Make It Happen. i just dont like the R&B that MARIAH does. i do like R&B but not when mariah does it.

WBT is R&B by the way. What you don't like is when she duz Hip/R&B. I love it. She was the first female artist to bring Hip-Hop/R&B/Pop mainstream. Beyonce, Ashanti, even Mary J Blige have creditted her as the originator and biggest influences on their blend of music (although Mary J sings Hiphop?Soul and is a boss at it). Emotions is R&B as well. What u like is white Mariah, lol.

yeah. Im a whitney fan coz i prefer the soulfulness and emotion she just brings up to another level. mariah is a close 2nd. and im listening to celine right now lol. not too keen on alicia keys but i like fallin'.. mariahs got the range n nippy got the power! in my opinion Nippy & MiMi are the 2 greatest singers ive ever heard. Whitney brings her songs to another level when she sings them live.

I totally agree with you. Whitney is the best live performer around. Mariah is a better vocalist and my personal favourite artist but Whitney onstage is the best. Whitney has stunning power that definitely keeps u awake but Mariah's range and skill keeps you at the edge of your seat, wondering what she is about to do next. Alicia is nice...lol. I liked her last studio album with You Don't Know My Name. She is talented. I think that Celine can sing but she is too boring and one-dimensional.

yeah celine just never seems to change. Mariah & Whitney have done a bit of everything.. Whitney's mostly pop/r&b though. i just prefer her tone, her voice is so clear! the only thing sometimes i dont like is wen whitney changes her songs TOO much live, she sometimes drags them out too much.. and the only thing i dont like with mariah is when she over uses her whistle, we know she can do it, but lately she seems to do it in every performance. Whitney & Mariah #1 Diva'z!

I think I liked her back then, even though I was barely four. Not only have current artists (or singing contestants, i.e. Jonalyn Viray) tried to mimic her singing style, but they try mimicking her hand motions as well.
