keep watching Being Human UK version, because its really hard to find the episodes online over here. And without my favorite characters, I just don't feel like putting in the effort. I might start watching again 1 once my anger of Mitchell's death goes away, but I don't see that happening soon.
I loved Mitchell, and hated it when they killed him off. But I know they only killed him off because Aidan Turner (Actor who plays Mitchell), got cast in the Hobbit, which is probably going to be huge (cause all the fans of the Lord of the Rings will go see it) and I can't wait to see it. But I get very attached to characters, because everyone is right, in America (where I'm from) if even 1 character leaves the show ratings drop dramatically and eventually the show gets cancelled. I'm not going
I will miss Mitchell (even though I was quite pissed off near the end) and I am really disappointed that George will be leaving the show after this series. Personally Mitchell was my least favorite out of the trio, but I really loved him anyway... And I'm rambling. Anyway; I can't wait for the next series and I doubt it will suck without him.
@julieb111 anything from UK has more class than anything from the US (even though I do enjoy some US television shows).
@CreativeVelocity The last series was when Mitchell IRS, you idiot. How do you know that the series will be shit if there hasn't been an episode without him?
@ThePremize Some of you just don't get it! many of us don't care if the show continues to be brilliantly made and wonderfully written with great new actors, the point is we became attached so certain characters. The fact that 3 out of those 4 main characters that we became attached to, are gone, is enough for many people to not want to watch anymore. You can't blame them for that.
Mitchell gone... well It's not so bad, at least he had a send off, but then with George leaving and Nina not even bothering to come back... then it's not as good :( x
@BoltEntertainment Nooo!! I don't want to give it a chance without Mitchell and the actress who played Nina left the show before they even started filming series 4 so she's gone too, and George leaves somewhere in the middle of it, So I'm guessing they'll have him killed too. The only one left is Annie! It sucks beyond the telling of it.
@Kay2be2M Series star Russell Tovey denied rumors that his werewolf character George Sands might not appear in the entire series.[33] In his CultBox interview, Tovey said that the plot lines were "very spread out", that "a lot more happens" so there's that. And not wanting to watch is one thing, bitching and calling the show shit etc.. is another. Some people are already calling for the show to be canceled, and that is just fucking stupid. Stop watching it? fine, ruining for rest us, fuck that
@TheDoctorwho747 I actually find it a little disrespectful to keep the show going without the characters that made the show what is was, so I'm one of those people who is not against cancelation, in fact I actually think it would be the best idea. But I wouldn't petition for it and ruin it for everyone else who still want to watch. And even if Russell is in every single ep of series 4, it's still his last, so it still counts as him being gone for me.
@Kay2be2M cont.. more say in what goes on than the producers which isn't the case here. The actors over there get to just up and leave or call for a show to finish, where as over here they are usually put on a contract for up to five years unless to producers and writers decide to write them out. Anyway shows in the US don't usually go on for much longer if the original cast leaves, but it does happen. So maybe a compromise would be if BH did 1 more season to wrap everything up or do a spin off
@TheDoctorwho747 I'm American too which is why u can understand my surprise that they would continue a show without it's main cast, cause as u well know that over here if just 1 actor leaves, it's enough for the ratings to drop and eventually the show get's cancelled. But I don't know, maybe the Brit fans are more forgiving in that aspect. At the end of the day a show wouldn't stay on the air without the fans and should continue if the fans want it to, not the creators.
@Kay2be2M yeah it's more about the show over here than the actors. I absolutely love (loved) Mitchell, but that doesn't mean the show won't be great without him. I can't see the American version killing of Sam Witwer, that would be... bad. I like what they're doing with it in the US, but the UK version will always be my favourite <3
@lizwilder123 oh if there is 1 thing I can promise u about the US version is that there is no way they will even consider doing the same story line with Aidan (sam witwer) that they did with Mitchell (at least not the death part), that was just a special circumstance cause Aidan Turner had to leave. As long as the show continues to be successful and none of the actors choose to leave, they would never permenantly kill any one of those 3, cause over here that would kill the show.
@Kay2be2M aha yeah i don't see it happening either. Aidan's time had come and urgh, guess who's leaving next? RUSSELL WHO PLAYS GEORGE. (Josh for USA). Grrrr. Meh, Hal looks great though (new vampire). 3 days until Being Human! <3
@Kay2be2M I agree with what you said. Ihave only watched the British version but I have been hearing more and more that the American version is not only not a shitty remake but is actually good. Obviously with 13 episodes compared to season 1's 8 they have more to do with the show and the characters. So do they do things differently in the American version? Cuz I have seen some people say the first episodes are basically the same but then in goes in a different direction,
@TheDoctorwho747 Because I watched the UK version 1st. I can't really call the US version...great. But it's not bad either and yes they did take a completely different direction with the story lines. I'd tell u some of it but I don't want to spoil it for u :)
completely agree just cause an actor leaves doesn't mean people should stop watching it, I have learned that from doctor who and i won't stop watching being human toby whithouse is a genius and the new actors are hired for a reason because they are capable of taking over and making the show continue to evolve. this happens every time someone is let go, give it a few episodes and soon people will get over the fact that someone left and a new one took over.
@Kay2be2M Disrespectful to who the audience? what about the shows creators who started the whole thing and want to see it through to the end wouldn't it be disrespectful to them if we say no you can't keep a show going just because we don't like what's happening? I'm American and believe me the same shit happens over here after several seasons of a show actors want to move on to other things. That is why I am surprised not only on BH but other British shows I have seen the actors really have
@Kay2be2M Disrespectful? It would be disresptectful to end the show before finishing off the storyline just because characters have left. Annie is still at the heart off te show and it wouldnt be fair on the actress who plays her for fans to stop watching because of the others >_>
@ZABERCAN99 It was already made aware to me that the Brits care more about the show and it's writing and creativity and not so much about the actors in the show so I'm slowly starting to understand your point of view but u also need to understand mine. I come from a place where most of the time if just 1 actor leaves a show, the ratings drop and the show get's cancelled. I guess we Americans tend to get really attached to the characters. We don't like actors being replaced.
@Kay2be2M Hi there. Just wanted to say it's not an American thing. I'm a Brit, and I can't stand it when they kill of original/important characters, either. I know it can ruin a whole show. Even in the UK we were pissed off when David left Doctor Who, but the series did pull through. Please give series 4 a chance. :) I attacked this series like mad when Mitchell died, then thought 'screw this' when George went (never liked Nina). But the new characters are amazing, it's like a whole new series!
@Kay2be2M continued- The new characters Tom (who is not new really), and Hal, are amazing in their own right. I honest to God forgot about George and Mitch when watching the new episodes. Tbh I also thought they were wong to kill them off, but it's not Toby's fault THEY decided to leave the show. Russel was meant to be in for the whole season! But he pulled out last minute, and Toby had to work with it. Let me tell you - Toby is an amazing writer and producer, this season makes up crappy 3rd.
@BoltEntertainment I'm definitely going to give it a chance...now that I've gotten over Aiden Turner leaving : ( With Russell Tovey leaving, this is pretty much a spin-off now. I hope they've made it a good one!
