There was red spine and blue spine. Blue spine came with Windows 3.1 and red didn't. There was later repackaging of the red spine that was not colored one way or other which was just the Warp without Windows.

Yes, however it does not boot from the CD. You need install disk and 1 & 2 then the install takes off from the CD.

The next version - OS/2 Warp 4 is avaible on CD-ROM and 3 floppies (Installations, Disk1 and Disk2).

Also 2.1 and 3.0 Warp were also made available on CD, although I am not sure about previous versions. Version 2.0 came with a lot of cool stickers though :P

Actually you can still purchase OS/2 Warp 4.52 new from IBM through their Passport Advantage program. Latest version came out in late 2005 and comes with 9 CDs (no. D5C4NLL)
