  • I'm on a roll, I'm on a roll this time. I fell my luck could change. Kill me Sarah, kill me again with love, it's gonna be our glorious day.

  • british music is the best!!!

  • class

  • Radiohead's best song.

  • Love Radiohead, anyone a fan of Portugal. The Man?

  • @ChiCityx23 Because I don't speak english...

  • God damn Johnny's guitar sounds awesome.

  • i hate it when people compare muse with Radiohead, i really dont care about who is better, im not a fan of muse myself but i am proud that i grew up listening to Radiohead

  • Everyday i listen that song, i feel better n lucky. Radiohead the best for ever...

  • @gavincorrea Thom is passionate about his music and expresses said emotions on stage. Not retarded. Retarded is someone with a handicap. For example, "The boy was autistic; he had suffered from this retardation since birth". If Thom didnt sing like that, it would be stoic and not as vivid.

  • "Kill me Sarah

    Kill me again with love"

this sounds so beatiful and chaotic!

  • One of my Favorite songs from on of my favorite albums by one of my favorite bands

EVER....Radiohead,s music is therapy for the soul!!!

  • (L)

  • This gang aren't at all bad but that lad on the lead guitar really wants to knock off the

"I invented this instrument " posture

  • i like radiohead...but Thom Yorke honestly looks retarded when he sings

  • @gavincorrea ur retarded all the time.

  • @seany0800 good one fanboy

  • @gavincorrea i will take that as a compliment!

  • increible

  • 9 people are not lucky, they dont have glorious days

  • the beatles..the stones..all sounds the same..not enough musicians between them to create a thought provoking tune....especially the stones..overated overpaid..over(fucking)age.real music is coming back.

  • @cjkilty

"not enough musicians between them to create a thought provoking tune"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you on drugs or completely retarded???? Lennon, McCartney, Richards and Jagger!! Music would not have sounded the same without these people. And especially not Radiohead!! What Radiohead did with Ok Computer was done by The Beatles in the sixties with The White Album and Sgt. Pepper. I love Radiohead, but know your classics ok?!?!

  • @cjkilty nothing on sgt. pepper, abbey road, white album, revolver, or magical mystery tour sounds the same and radiohead definitely borrows their ideas from the beatles.

  • That's the happiest Thom has ever looked on stage

  • 9 people are surely retarded.....

  • 2:19.....almost cried.....such an intense song, beautiful!!!!!

  • @PIKlynch Me too, this song makes me fly high whenever i,m in a bad mood.....simply Genius!!!

  • best band ever...ever

  • radiohead is awesome!

  • Holy fuck my hair just stood up.....GODLIKE.

  • god damn ed gets away with it on this one !

  • @woodhd what do u mean?

  • @blackbeltbrown i mean what is he actually doing during this song ??? not a lot

  • @woodhd He's playing guitar?

  • one of the most beautiful songs they have made

  • radiohead is definitely on par with the bands that were popular during the 60's and 70's.

  • 3:18 We are standing on tha eeeeeeed!

  • How this isn't getting millions of views is beyond me.

    Radiohead forever!!

  • this is better than the original, cant stop listening to it.

  • best band

  • Lucky = Beautiful and perfection. One of the best radiohead song ever!

  • I love how much you get to actually hear Ed's playing in this...

  • What was the following song?

  • @clownmonkey National Anthem :)

  • How about people stop saying band X is better Y and just enjoy this fucking awesome music :D

  • @Aaronage1 R.E.M. is = Radiohead, how about that? Radiohead has certainly been inspired heavily by their music (you can almost see a 2-3 year delay between the two bands, with R.E.M. being the fuel), but they are very much their own force, and Johnny is an incredibly innovative guitar and keyboard player.

  • well, i think you missed the point with the beatles. the beatles had no music talent what so ever. they made a lot of great songs and a lot more bad songs. but they are awesome because the started a youth revolt in the 60's. but you are correct that Radiohead is better, it's just harder for Radiohead to get a high acclaim like the beatles because there are soo many bands out today

  • un-fucking-believable............

  • 2:40 epic!

  • The problem with The Beatles is that they consistenly made some absolute rubbish, which people forget because of certain albums which were (and remain) incredible. Number 9, anyone?

Radiohead have released one bad album, their first, the rest are tour de forces from start to beginning. The Beatles cannnot claim that.

The Beatles are more influential, for now, but in terms of music alone Radiohead have won.

  • @Lubafag Of Course i have heard revolution number 9 but it takes guts to relase such a "song" when you are the biggest band ever...and apart from certain songs the beatles were never rubbish radiohead as you said have relased 1 bad album and if we take the beatles bad songs that would made an EP....

  • @Lubafag What a complete and utter load of shit

    (i don't want to start a fight)

  • @gowikipedia internet troll what a bore. ~Go learn something.

  • @Lubafag This is radiohead not the beatles if you want to talk about the beatles do it on one of their videos.

  • Radiohead is the same as the beatles, stones, and doors.. or others because Radiohead changed the direction of music theatre and influenced literally so many bands after the release of this album. Never think that some band is just better than others just because they were the pioneers. In terms of musicality and in arts perspective, Radiohead is better than the Beatles.... I hate people saying that "the Beatles" are the best subconciously.

  • @plzhealme that sir is bullshit....Radiohead are amazing they have influenced some bands with their ok computer but.....The Beatles not only changed rock music they changed Western Culture and their experimentations not only were with a couple of electronics or jazzy stuff they made fucking heavy metal before the metal...and they had the balls to be the biggest band ever and relase avant-garde songs they invented the arty move that almost any band has made (including radiohead)

  • @TheSeeker0666 Alright fair enough I get your point. But are you saying that nobody will ever be better than the Beatles? In terms of musicality radiohead is superior than the Beatles though.

  • @plzhealme in tecnical terms i could mention 1000 bands that are better but of course that is not the "point" with them

  • One of the greatest concerts ever...

  • lucky mine since the first day I heard radiohead....

  • Comment removed

  • 'cause I'm your superhero

  • no matter much great music they put out, i will always stand by ok computer. and this is the best version of this song.

  • wow.wow.wow. that was kick ass.

  • Roll on Reading 2009, :p

  • Roll on glasto 2010

  • man i hope radiohead play it

  • lucky R.E.M

  • DT, it has changed... this is what you've been looking for, for a long time. This is the real deal. And I am so grateful that it's me. Be secure in that, my love.

  • This time, I feel my luck could change... Thank you, darling.

    xoxox

  • i feel my luck could change!!

  • puuuuuuuuuuuulllllllllmeeeeeeeeeeeeouuuuuuuuuuuttttttt

  • first time i've seen seen the drummer screw up. 4:13

  • minor mistake, he just missed the cymbal, but that is the first time ive ever seen him make a mistake

  • The drummer didn't srew up: he used a technic known in jazz. ans hit the cymbal from underneath....

  • it's spelled "technique". second, if you actually knew what you were talking about, you would know that he is supposed to hit his crash after that fill (4:13) hense he DID screw up. please don't ever leave a comment about drumming again.

  • @shanberg1: first of all english is not my language, but I do speak and write dutch, german, english and french, which is probrably more than you do, so excuse me for the mistake...second: it was a comment that I read here more than once. Third who are you to forbid me to write ever again...

  • dont forget many others tje lasts 20 years

for you is the best, but not to the others

    just remember u2 for example

  • u2? are u serious? they're too much comercial...

  • respectfully, they claim to try to write commercial. It turned out, however, that they ended up 1) creating a sort of cult following and then 2) raising the bar for commercial - which is never a bad thing. :-)

  • sorry dude...I read too fast...you were referring to U2, not radiohead. But hats off to U2 for similar reasons (just 30 years ago!) :-))

  • U2 is aweful how dare they even be compared to the likes of radiohead

  • @brentdcohen Someone needs to listen to Zooropa Or Passangers :) (of course 2 amazing albums by u2)

  • @religiousatheist in fact U2 made 2 albums that would influence that extreme experimentation that radiohead did on kid a....in fact listen to original sountracks by u2 that was relased in 95 half of the album is instrumental and dont sound anything like the u2 you probably know....radiohead are a top band but so is U2......

  • Best band ever? Debatable. The Beatles, Stones, Doors and many others are up there.

But the best band of the last 20 years ... That's easy ... It's Radiohead

  • Good comment. Me too, I´m totally sure of that. And this version of Lucky , powerfull and visceral, is a little taste of that....The best rock band of last two decades...

  • agreed

  • im not sure if that isn't debatable mate

  • the stones... seriously? The only band that compares is Pink Floyd.

  • See what you mean. Lead guitar really sounds like the Floyd in this song

  • @dsexocet

The Doors and Rolling Stones are so overrated

  • Comment removed

  • @famAAAs The Doors aren't, The Rolling Stone are.

  • @dsexocet the beatles, the stones and the doors are nowhere fucking near radiohead. they just happen to inhabit this ridiculous pedestal (they're all great bands don't get me wrong) that no band could deserve. radiohead outclass all of them, in my opinion at least.

  • @yeahacoustic I think you could argue that Radiohead picks up where those bands left off, and then takes off with music in their magic hands and rescues it from certain death. Unfortunately this new generation is beyond saving if even Radiohead can't get any recognition in North American air waves.

  • @jldkrank let's not forget that radiohead are one of the biggest bands in the world, and at least in britain where i live, very popular among people of my age (i'm 16), and , judging from the size of their US tours, they're not exactly unpopular in the states

  • @yeahacoustic Of course they are one of the biggest bands ever. And my personal favourite. That being said, the only people I know in all of North America don't know anything in music other than what's on the top 40 radio stations. And we can say that there is no Radiohead on those stations, it's mostly Katy Perry or whatever the flavour of the month happens to be. Of course there are fans in North America of Radiohead, just much less so than other parts of the world.

  • @dsexocet i totally agree a year later.

  • @dsexocet Right on, my friend. Kind of hard to juxtapose Radiohead and bands like the Stones. I think if anything Radiohead is more in line with a band like Pink Floyd.

  • @dsexocet

    either them or pixies

  • @dsexocet ever heard of nirvana?

  • @MrWalterBritley lol Nirvana

  • @dsexocet The Beatles was not that good.

  • this world is a better place to live on because them

  • I love this song so much

    Radiohead always makes me fly

Im on drugs but with a band like this you really really don´t need anything else to be in a trip...

  • 3.50 onwards gives me tingles...I would have given anything to see this gig.

  • are you having a good time????

  • i was there! somewhere in the middle desperately needing a wee, then i fell over...

  • should have pissed on the floor in front of you, thats what i always do, tis usually raining to much for anyone to notice, and if not there usually to fucked to care

  • Was this ever released commercially? I have an AMAZING pirate copy of the show I bought in the Philippines, but Google isn't helping me find a legitimate copy. Can somebody throw me an Amazon link if this is available for sale?

  • Comment removed

  • this is like the most amwazing radiohead gig ever, the set list is just amazing! fuck man do i wish i was there. im getting goosebumps just watchin it on youtube, what a band, love you Radiohead tahnkyou!!!!

  • Yes, you are

  • does anyone know if greenwoods tele is mim or american?

  • i think it's american ,it's not a simple telecaster, it's a telecaster plus, but they don't sell those guitar any more.

  • I almost lose my breath when I see them live, even a bit on YouTube "live"!

    SO incredible!

  • wow, that was freeking amazing.

  • Best Radiohead live song. Hands down. Manchester 08. Undescribable

  • Can't agree more........Lucky, last encore, beautiful summer night....a fantastic memory of a brilliant concert. Even getting back to Manchester Centre on the tram behind the one that crashed didn't spoil the night!!

  • ah, i loved it when they played this at manchester! x

  • when did you see them in manc?

    the in rainbows tour?

  • erm, june the 29th last year, i believe :)

yeah, it was the in rainbows tour

seeing them at leeds this year too!

  • those lucky british -_-"

  • This song makes me so emotional everytime I listen to it and I can say everyday. Radiohead gives such a climax to our own sensibilities.

  • They are the best live band. Their gigs are something else.

  • a proper massive attack ,huge!

  • This band has plenty of songs that could potentially be on top of my list but the truth is...nothing will probably ever beat 'Lucky' for me. This is it; their highmark, their absolute peak. The song resonates deep within me and experiencing it live...yeah, that *would* be a glorious day... Ah but one can dream!

  • This is the best song ever !!!

  • 4:13 Phil is probably thinking: "Oh damn, now Thom is gonna beat me again..." LOL

  • hahaha nice. i guess he just messed up the fill.

  • hahaha.. its quite blatant is it, in that cam angle..

  • and im pretty sure jonny was the only one still in his 20's at this point as you can tell from his stage presence and phil's 'suit' LOL

  • Not sure how old Johnny is in this vid, but he is the youngest in the band, and Phil always has pants and a shirt on, the rest of them pull of the casual vibe, watch the scotch mist video, he looks out of place in every shot

  • I think Phil's suits are fucking classy, and give the band a professional vibe that sets them apart from everyone else (if their fantastic music didn't do that enough already)

  • Damn Stipe. after i heard his version with them i'm hearing him sing it. rrrrrrr.

jonny's guitar in the chorus is phenomanal.

    amazing textures.

  • michael stipe singing this song is no joke!!

  • this is the most powerful performance i've ever heard

  • r.e.m

  • smack my ass plz!!!

  • shit yea :)

  • no it's lake

  • Amazing - saw them at Outside Lands SF this year. Radiohead delivers the best live show I have ever seen. Perfect. Watch "You and Whose Army" or "Everything in its Right Place" from outside lands and you'll see...

  • Check my profile for "Radiohead at Glastonbury 2003 [Full Performance]", it's the whole concert AND you can watch it in Youtube's HIGH QUALITY :D

  • 'Pull me out of the air crash, pull me out of the lake, cause i'm your superhero, we're standing on the edge'.

  • its "pull me out of the air crash, pull me out of the way"

  • No it isnt.

  • i realised thart about 5 minutes after posting that comment im afraid although in my defence i had been listening to radiodread a lot at the time and i am almost certain in that version he sings "...out of the way".... i think

  • out of the lake

  • yes it is

  • We are standing on the edge...

  • Pes i agapi ti ehei ginei, sta tragoudia sou pou imnouses, tis kardias i floga ekeini pou se thermene kai zouses? Einai i floga stahti kria, einai tafos i kardia mou kai einai oi stihoi san ydria me tin tefra tou erota mou...

  • Radiohead....Quelle identité, quelle personnalité, quelle intensité ! Je les aime <3

  • this is it!

  • lol

  • Thats true, but what do you expect from such a band?

  • continue to watch live shows man you'll love'em sometime:)(Y) thumbs up

  • What do you expect from a song like this? Pyrotechnics every second? That's not what radiohead does. Their lives shows usually have good crowd intensity and great performances of the songs.

  • thats just our different tastes in music, i go to a gig to see a show and have some fun, my main concern is not how perfect they play their songs (for the record radiohead DO play perfectly)i go to see the band work the crowd up, Foo fightets do this incredibly well (check out some videos from wembley 07/06/08) its not that ones better than the other its just difference in taste (PS. if anyone Foo Fighters are better than Radiohead or vice versa then they are officially retard of the year)

  • Have you been to a Radiohead show? Because they work a crowd like I have never seen before. I was a big fan, but not an obsessive one when I saw them, but I left the venue with my life changed. Those guys play with such precision it's sickening, yet can cut loose and completely reconstruct songs like Kid A, Backdrifts, or In Limbo for the live show. One minute you'll dance, and the next you'll almost be in tears from the emotional immediacy of songs like Lucky^. I'm blathering, but cheers.

  • I agree. I used to like Radiohead, but when I wentto see them live, I was like "Holy shit! That was the best live I've ever seen". They are very powerful during lives, and once you've seen them live, your life will be changed (in a musical way). Now I think that all the other lives (not Radiohead one) are crap compared to them. :o

  • Your just asking for a an argument bringing up Foo Fighters. Embarrassing you even mention in the same light

  • I don't mind being Retard of the Year. Foo Fighters are cool and have many kicka*s songs, but Radiohead is FAR better. Better musicians in close to every way imaginable.

Plus, the FF song "In Your Honor" is a total copy (intentional or not) of Radiohead's "Sulk."

  • yes i have been to a radiohead gig, otherwise i would have no ground to comment on one of their live performances, rankingjohnmajor, very constructive, you really contributed to this discussion.

at the end of the day, both bands have strengths and weaknesses, both bands play different styles of music, both bands are hugely succesful.
