  • holy shit, this guys a fascist

    HAHAHA!!

Too late! Dear americans (US citizens)!

Tey live among you by the millions allready! You with your just law and order system will not step in their way! Otherwise you will be called a rasist! And that is not what you want!

In the future you will have to accept the massive overproduction of people from the muslims world!

  • @malsifood: you are a naive man...we always can count on Muslims to fuck up a good thing they have going in the West.. The only thing we need for this to happen, is more Muslims ..

  • At this point the Muslim hate for the Western World spills over only an occasion, once their numbers will be great they will become way more honest about themselves. It will not get to such point here in North America , but in Europe it will--- it will come to civil war...Western World deserves it..it is idiotic with its multiculturalism and tolerance of intolerant

  • you call me naive?

    Look at yourself!!

In quran and the hadiths it says: Mulsims have to be honest and peacefull living amongst nonbelievers, but if they get a chance to get in power, mulsims are asked to opress all others, to install sharia law with all the consequences!

  • @GrayRoy

  • He sounds like Clayton Bigsby.

  • He sounds like Chris Griffin from family guy.

  • He's out of there. We never have to hear his cartoonish voice again, unless he chooses a career in cartoon voice-overs post-recount.

  • Believe me, there are those in his district that are just like him. It is unbelievable the ignorance quotient in this area.

  • I live in charlottesville and im actually going to vote for him in november. I don't agree with him on the war but hes a member of the liberty caucus in congress which is devoted to limited government and defending the constitution.

  • How'd that vote turn out, andrewl105?

  • I think I lost brain cells just listening to this.

  • @melindafla maybe because you have no brain cells to begin with. Boy.

  • My. God. And this man is actually a member of congress? We're doomed. What tha hell is Charlottesville, Virginia thinking? If this is your form of a joke, Charlottesville, we don't get it.

  • melindafla, Charlottesville is like a blue oasis in a sea of stupid, Republican ignoramuses. You know, the kind who think "defending the constitution" (to quote Andrewl105) involves wanting to prevent otherwise-qualified Americans from being elected to Congress because they don't have the "correct" religion. We want a much better representative, but we just can't match the stupidity surrounding us!

  • I do understand that, ajc06. I am in the same situation here in Florida. But I have to say I am so proud of Virginia Nov. 4th! You guys came through! And somehow Florida actually came to their senses. Guess Truman was right when he said, "How many times you got to get hit over the head til you figure out who's hittin' you?"

  • i wanna see a "yes we can" version of this speech done called "infidel like myself" only instead of hip-hop and r&b stars get the blue collar boys and cuntry music singers to do it

  • I want to pee in his shampoo.

  • lol in muhammad we trust lol

we belive in One God to u idiot go learn some islam islamreligion com

  • Virgil Goode speaks in favor of the tolerant principles on which this country was founded. He is a true patriot denying no one his or her liberty. If you do not get that fact, than you are not listening carefully enough to what he is saying. Rep. Goode speaks the truth and he speaks for me. He is not afraid to tell the truth about the threat of radical Islam and unchecked immigration. Wake up.

  • Virgil good is an embarassment to Virginia. He is an advocate of radical christanity. You need to wake up.

  • Radical christanity is just as bad as extreme isla. Remeber jim jones and waco and many many other groups

  • I should be so lucky as to live in Virgil's district. Say he is an idiot but look at his record...Look at what him and his father have done for that district....He is one of the few honorable men in congress...His door is open to any of his constituents....Yeah he is an idiot...that's why no one has come close to beating him in his election bids..ask those people in his district what he is....

  • i say..i say...thanks foghorn

  • his voice could kill children....

  • Most Americans wouldn't be Americans without immigration. That said, a moratorium on Muslim immigrants specifically is pretty harsh religious discrimination.

  • Good god... im in this idiots district.

  • What a frightening moron. I'm ashamed to be from Virginia.

  • Mommy I'm scared. There's a big scary man. A BIG, STUPID INFIDEL. He's F--king insane!

  • Virgil Goode is a backwoods Puritan throwback. Only inbreeding can produce such a vile beast.

  • I assume your response and allegations are from experience?

  • He's one of the few elected reps who have the guts to tell it like it is.

The two greates weapons that radical Islamists possess in their war against the West is oil & the freedom to practice their religion in Western Europe and USA. We need to completely restrict immigration and become energy self sufficient as soon as possible.

  • Hilarious. Thanks for being gullible. It doesn't take guts to spew talking points. He has guts just for speaking in public. What a retardlican.

  • Think a little deeper. Check out all the Islamic propaganda vids that are being downloaded onto youtube. They want to take over Europe and America. They think it's their god given right. The Koran is a manual for world domination & we must act now by being oil independent & stop them from coming. Our freedom of religion allows them unprecedented power to infiltrate our way of life and change it as they are already doing it in Europe.

  • What? The Karan has nothing to do with violence. It's extremists that interpret the literature violently. Mr Goode here is also an extremist. He scares me with his intolerant speeches.

  • Hang on a second. Read the Koran, and you will know it has a lot to do with violence. It's not so much a matter of interpretation as Christians engage in with the Bible. Muslims believe the Koran is the literal word of god. Certainly extremism is something to be aware of. I don't know much more about V. Goode than this video, so I'll check into it, if you'll check into the Koran.

  • Alright dude, deal.

  • You are so dumb, Their is no desire amoung most Muslims to "Islamize" America. the primary concern is to unite all Muslims under one flag

  • First I thought this guy is mocking republicans, but NO! he's for real!!!! I've never laughed so hard before watching a dumbass hick thinking he's a statesman ... very funny!!! keep them comming Virgil, you'll soon beat Colbert in the ratings!!!

  • If you don't take him seriously, take what he's saying very seriously. I've read the Koran and studied Islamic religion and, believe me, we're in big trouble if we allow them into Europe and USA. Check out their propaganda vids which are all over youtube.

  • Bush is more of a threat to freedom than any terrorist will ever hope to be.

  • I could only dream of achieving this level of prickdom that Goode has.

  • What a looser. Who elected this clown. I hope Iraq dont turn out to be like US especially with people like him. Shame how he's selective not mentioning the terrorist act done by US

  • loooooooool this is a joke||||

  • "the muslims what to destroy america"?

    what a joke

    america has destroyed it self.

if this fool is so interested in helping people why dosnt he help the thousands of homeless, prostitutes, illigitamate children, drugabusers, single mothers and the familys of gun victems?

  • yea we destroyed ourselves after 9/11 things went from great! to shit.

  • I'm scared now...

maybe i'm so scared ill vote for him

  • This guy needs to quit Congress and become an actor. Or is this a "mockumentary"?

  • Virgil Goode Jr. RULES! I'm watching this from Europe and bah God I hope he becomes president in the future.

  • Who is MooooOOOOOoooooohamoud?

  • how does a dumb hick like this get into office, what a stupid militant farmboy

  • It was Zack who started by defending the words of a Christian by pointing to the actions of Muslims. I was merely pointing out some other "words of Christians". But I could point to the actions of Christians, too, for example, the bombings of abortion clinics and the murder of Dr Gunn, just to name a few.

  • Qur'an is the literal, eternal and unchangeable word of Allah, not of individual Muslims. Allah's words in Qur'an 9.29 and elsewhere. It is not the same thing. Muslims are slaves to the literal commands of Allah in the Qur'an. The Qur'an orders warfare against non-believers until Islam is dominant worldwide.

  • For what it's worth, the ayat in the Quran that says it's "unchangeable" isn't entirely without controversy, either. The Quran didn't exist as a book till it was compiled by Usman, many years after Muhammad died. There are those who believe that passage may have been added afterwards. I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything, I'm just saying, the issue of religion is too complex to put it in black and white terms.

  • Incidentally, the church I was speaking about earlier was the very one that was bombed. It was a very sad day for me, as it was for the rest of the country. For what it's worth though, more mosques get bombed in Pakistan than churches. But, I digress. I was merely pointing out that churches are indeed allowed in Muslim countries.

  • Hey if I wanted to stereotype, I would have said that all southerners are nutjobs, and I would never say such a thing. I was just pointing out they seem to have a particularly unique talent of producing a regular amount of nutjobs of an unusually high calibre. And who said I was a liberal, I'm just a confused Catholic Priest with an unhealthy toenail fetish and 6 fingers on my left hand, now pigeonhole me!

  • You're right -- Al Gore is from the South and he is a nutjob and relies on things outside rationality and the scientific method to get his points across.

  • Now I can say without feeling knee-jerked that that's racism that David Dukes appreciates.

  • americans are so emotional.

  • "Those who stay in America should be open to society without melting, keeping Mosques open so anyone can come and learn about Islam. If you choose to live here, you have a responsibility to deliver the message of Islam ... Islam isn't in America to

be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book

of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only

    accepted religion on Earth."

    That says it all.

  • Right.

  • If you think Representative Goode is exaggerating about Islam's agenda... check out what happened to Lebanon since 1973 and Northern Nigeria in the last 20 years.

  • Now that's a little unfair, Zack. Isolated examples like that don't represent "Islam's agenda". Sure, you could probably drag out some instances where Muslims do behave the way Goode describes, but you can do that for any religion. It'd be like taking Falwell's post 9/11 speech and saying that it represents "Christiantity's agenda."

  • Islam is the only one that has this:

    009.029

YUSUFALI: Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

THAT's the agenda sent by Allah. FUCK YOU.

  • Being the kind person that I am, I'll ignore the insult. Zack, you fail to see the problem in taking one line and thinking it represents a whole religion. But, seeing as logic won't get to you, I'll have to fight fire with fire. Marilyn Manson read, at a concert, the following passages from the Bible: Leviticus 20:9 ("For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall surely be put to death and Psalm 137:9 Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones

  • Islam may be about killing non-believers, but Christianity is about KILLING BABIES! *gasp*

THAT's the agenda sent by Christ. FUCK YOU!

(I don't actually believe anything I wrote above; I'm just illustrating exactly what it is that people like Zack are doing)

  • Old Testament laws from the torah never had the force of law for Christians even from the earliest days, so that citation from Leviticus doesn't apply. Jews don't see the law as enforcable today either. However Qur'an 9.29 is still in force and is an obligation to all living Muslims. This is the difference.

  • Whether or not it's enforced, it doesn't change the fact that it is indeed part of the religion. And as far as enforcing it goes, the fact that no Muslim nation today practices Quran 9.29 should prove beyond all doubt that it isn't 'enforcable', either. And to say all Muslims believe it just because it's in the Quran would be the equivalent of saying that all Christians believe those Old Testament laws.

  • aisdara - those 'moderates' you talk about don't have control of what's being said in mosques. Extremists do. Moderates are irrelevant because they can't remove extremists from power positions within the Islamic nation ( ummah ) Those who don't believe the Quran in 9.29 will be threatened or killed by more extreme ( more faithful ) muslims. Moderates can't fix Islam because Islam itself is not moderate.

  • Zack, you fail to realise that, first of all, mosques don't run the government in Muslim states. Secondly, it's incorrect to call Muslims who believe exclusively in 9.29 "more faithful", because the Quran explicitly states, in another place "There is no compulsion in matters of religion".

  • It's not a matter about being "more faithful", it's about choosing what to place faith in. Just take a look at Saudi Arabia, the only Muslim country with a constitution exculively based on the Quran and Sunnah. If what you said is true, they'd be at war with the US right now. Unless one considers selling you guys oil as "fighting those who believe not in Allah."

  • And don't try impressing me with fancy Arabic words like "Ummah", either. English will do just fine, thank you.

  • I'm not trying to impress you.

  • I know, I'm just kidding.

  • (suras 9:5, 47:5, and 8:39 among others). These contradict sura 2:256, "There is no compulsion in religion". Since sura 9 was among the last to be "revealed to Muhammad", it logically abrogates sura 2:256.

  • Therein lies your problem, Zack. You can't decide which one overrides the other. Neither can I. Neither can any Muslim. Just because one came later doesn't mean the previous one is void. Islam doesn't work in a nice, easy-to-understand way like that. But then again, religion seldom does.

  • Allah decided in 2:106: "None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah hath power over all things?"

Scholars - Surah 9 abrogates ayat 2.256 : Ibn Kathir (1301-1372) quotes an earlier authority,

Ad-Dahhak bin Muzahim on this topic and Ibn Juzayy (d. 1340) agrees that one of this verse's functions is "abrogating every peace treaty in the Qur'an." Others agree all the way to present too.

  • Hey man, moving past 9.29 is hard enough on its own without Westerners telling us that it's what "faithful Muslims" want. 95% (and this is a conservative estimate, mind you) of Muslims would never even think of putting that ayat into practice. But one sure-fire way to piss them off is to go around presiming you know what they believe in.

  • If you're sincere about wanting to end religous hatred, shouldn't you be supporting the less extreme version of Islam? There are plenty of Muslim scholars who are genuinely moderate. Shouldn't you be giving them a shout-out, instead of pretending they don't exist?

  • presuming*

  • Meh...you know what? I don't care anymore. But, I'm a sporting man, so I'll concede it: you win. Congratuations, Zack, you've just validated the belief of every single Muslim who wants to kill Christians.

  • Qur'an 2.256 has been replaced by 9.5 and 9.29 Surah 9 came later than surah 2. In matters of contradiction, the later surah abrogates earlier surahs. Intolerance is the command of Allah in 9.29 and 9.5

  • And I'm telling you, the same way Judaeo-Christian followers tend to ignore the old Testament, most Muslims of today also regard this aspect of Islam as "not enforceable". If a fringe cult within the relgion chooses to cling to this archaic belief, it doesn't mean it reflects on the religion as a whole.

  • It's time for these moderates to stand and deliver. They need to root out the extremists and show the world where they stand. Otherwise the non-believers can't tell the extremists apart from the moderates. The non-believers will have to assume all muslims are extreme out of self-preservation. This would be a mistake by the Islamic community. You need to clean your own house.

  • I agree with you completely. We do need to root out the extremists. And it's happening, slowly but surely. Here is but one example. Late last year, Pakistan passed the "Women's Protection Bill", overturning laws passed earlier which were based on the Quran. The fundamentalists in the government threatened to quit over this, but the National Assembly passed it anyway. A small step, yes, but one which I hope is indicative of a larger trend.

  • This war was lost by the Administration in 2003 not in 2007 by the Democratic Congress condeming a surge. The Shock and Awe war plan was the easy part, the Bush Administration should have had a Stabilize and Rebuild plan in place before going to war. Dismantling an army, police force, and civilian work force is not a plan. Ignoring a possible (and predicted) Shia/Sunni conflict is not a plan.

  • You only need to listen to his voice to know he's a bigot.

  • How so? Someone with a Southern accent is automatically a bigot? Isn't that assumption something a bigot would say? Isn't it prejudicial?

I'm not from the South, but to make a blanket statement like that is bigoted...

  • Uhh, I didn't say anything about his southern accent. I said that you only listen to his VOICE. He sounds crazy, like a raving lunatic. He was probably trying to sound all caring and concerned, but it came out insane. He's an ignorant bigot, end of story.

  • Please read my reply to aisdara. Qur'an 9.29 is a command from Allah that muslims must fight non-believers until they are converted, conquered & paying protection money or killed. Goode is correct.

  • Yes, please do read. I'm sure you'll find that exchange quite entertaining.

  • What an idiot. Rep. Goode goes and slams the Muslim faith and then talks about the importance of "tolerance" in Iraq.

  • Mazerunner - it's not a contradiction or hypocritical to call out Islam for its intolerance and permissiveness with violence and coercion and at the same time stating the importance of an Iraq with protection of individual and minority rights... they go together. They are not contradictions.

  • HahahahaHAHAAaaa! This guy has no clue! I forgive him though.

  • the surge IS working. THe libtards make fun of this patriot because he isnt politically correct. He doesnt want the koran to take over and said so. THAT IS WHAT THE LIBTARDS WANT. You losers ALWAYS lose. The hippie libtards have a few brief moments in the sun then go back under thier collective rock to devise the next conspiracy theory. SAD...

  • duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude..

Republican V. Gooode.. you are totally scarely, preacher boy.

I swear, BRITNEY SPEARS went out & shaved her head after hearing your TREASONOUS words to continue a War MY Americans whom gave bush a 72% disapproval(28% approval)rating DO NOT WANT.

you are incompetent, dangerous to NATIONAL SECURITY and the tax dollars we in the MIDDLE CLASS pay.

  • Actually Bush's ratings have gone up at 38% according to USA today.

The surge appears to be working according to ABCNEWS:

Iraqi officials offer a morbid statistic to note the shift: Only 10 bodies showed up at the Baghdad morgue today, compared with the usual average of 40 to 50 a day.

"This shows a big reduction in terror and killing operations in Baghdad" said the spokesman for the top Iraqi commander.

On top of that Al-Sadr has fled to Iran, #2 Al-Qaeda in Iraq is dead.

  • Carbombings have just left over 50 people dead in under an hour, according to CNN. Looks like everything's back to normal.

  • This is a perfect definition of "hyperbole"...lol

  • I say just leave them there to starve. The fewer of them there are, the fewer of them there will be to vote repugacan.

  • The guy posting above as "darkgatherAr" is not me, he's a very sad imposter.

  • I can't watch this idiot, the IDEA that people in third world countries don't have ANYTHING better to do with their time than plot ways to invade virginia is patently ridiculous

  • Think this guy's a dweeb?

    Search "Politicool"

  • segregation now, segregation tomorrow and segregation forever

  • We need to cut the funds for the troops. If we don't feed them, give them armor, or gas. They will just desert on their own volition.

  • Muslims are good people with an unbreakable will to only do what is right. This makes things hard for Western Governments, if your a hot potato and possible embarrassment to Government and are using a devout Muslim lawer as your mouthpiece, the Gov can't threaten to withdrawl all contracts with the firm, etc to get too your man.

Western Hierarchy likes to be able to control everything. Muslims dont fit into the grand plan of things. So manufactured terrorism is the latest weapon to fuck them up

  • whats up with his voice?

  • Islam is a theocracy. Check the Constitution's of Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan and other authentic Islamic nations if you doubt that.

As such, Islam is incongruous with the U.S. Constitution and American law. Period.

Islam does NOT mean peace; it means submission.

    No thanks.

  • You mean Afghanistan pre 2001, of course. Ever since the Taliban were ousted, it has been a democracy. A questionable one, perhaps, but a democracy nonetheless. As for Saudi Arabia, it's more of a constitutional monarchy than a theocracy. Apart from them, most Islamic countries follow at, at least partially, a republican style of government. Religion does play a role, yes, but then again, it does in the US, too. "Theocracy" is just too strong a word.

  • No. I mean the Afghanistan of today, where man-made laws must comport with Islamic law. Remember Abdul Rahman from last spring? In Saudi Arabia the Constitution consists of the Qur'an and the Sunnah of Muhammad. And the Saudi's DO amputate unrepentent thieves' hands-as Allah commands in Qur'an 5:38. Theocracy is the correct word; Islam IS a theocracy, and theocracies are antithetical to the notion of Western democracy.

  • Actually, the Afghanistan of today no longer governs by the Shariah like the Taliban did. Just a few examples; officials are elected through a democratic system, women are allowed to vote and even run for office. It is by no means a theocracy. I might be willing to agree with you on Saudi Arabia though, it probably is pretty close to being a theocracy. The term still doesn't represent Islam though. It is a religion, not a form of government; other Muslim countries do separate mosque from state.

  • Since when did the U. S. Congress become a pulpit for the Southern extremists. This man was elected and funded by his district. This is America, surely there must be a more intelligent, articulate person from this district more worthy to be called a member of the United States Congress.

  • I think it's more like radical multi-national corporations that want to control the Middle East.

  • A few days before September 11, the U.S. Energy Information Administration documented Afghanistan's strategic "geographical position as a potential transit route for oil and natural and gas exports from Central Asia to the Arabian Sea," including the construction of pipelines through Afghanistan...

  • Don't get me wrong, I'm a red blooded Pakistani and love to hate on the Bush administration as much as the next guy. But conspiracy theories like that might be pushing it just a wee bit.

  • In 1998 US Vice-President Dick Cheney said in a speech to oil industrialists:

"I cannot think of a time when we have had a region emerge as

suddenly to become as strategically significant as the Caspian"

Within four years the US military had overthrown the government of Afghanistan, and the construction of the Caspian Sea oil pipeline by US oil corporations had begun.

The 'war on terror' is being used as an excuse to further US energy interests in the Caspian.

  • "The 'war on terror' is being used as an excuse to further US energy interests in the Caspian." Thankfully this is the case, would not want to go to war for no benefit, that's what NATO is for. The concept of war is truly a beautiful thing.

  • It's not like he's cutting someones head off.

  • He sounds like a preacher, i wish Simon Cowell was judging.

  • And one more thing: I can't help but notice the bigoted comments in this thread because of Goodes' southern drawl. What hypocrites.

  • Oh, lighten up. You can't deny that the man sounds pretty darn funny.

  • yea shutup. It is only bigoted if it is against Muslims and Atheist.

  • The guy posting above as "darkgatherAr" is not me, he's a very sad imposter.

  • I'd like to think that funny voices transcend cultural boundaries. I'd laugh at someone with a funny voice no matter what their race or religion.

  • Islam is a theocratic ideology by its very nature -- which means -- there is NO separation of mosque and state -- and there aren't churches allowed. You don't know this by now? Just go look at the signs over the highways to Mecca that say MUSLIM ONLY. Wake up and stop defaming your own nation and culture because you don't know the first thing about the true aspect of Islam. Education, people, education. Remember: Nazis once flew into NY harbor and nobody thought anything of it then either.

  • Mecca is a holy pilgrimage site in Islam, and that's the only reason only Muslims are allowed in. Sure, it's a little archaic, but then again, that's just Saudi Arabia, which, incidentally, happens to be an ally of the Bush administration. You could go pretty much anywhere in the rest of the country, and trust me, you don't want to go to Mecca anyway. Really, it's not a very interesting place.

  • "there aren't churches allowed" Umm... I hate to break this to you, but there are. I lived in Pakistan for 18 years, and there are, in fact, churches allowed. I used to pass one everyday on my way to school.

  • how about middle-east countries?

  • Aye, there be churches there too. But don't take my word for it. Ask around for yourself.

  • MoooooHammed. Lol. Must have come right over from the farm.

  • aisdara if you are so smart tell me why america is hated?? its losers like you that piss me off

  • Alright, I'll tell you. America is hated my Muslims historically because they support Israel, who Muslims feel is opressing Palestinians. More recently, though, Muslims have begun to hate America over the Iraq war which, they feel, was an unjustified invasion.

  • If someone created a country of their own in the middle of your USA, and then pushed out all Americans....wouldnt you feel opressed? Go read a history book.

  • I never said the Palestinians weren't oppressed. I was just trying to explain to bigbird7071 in simple terms exactly why Muslims hate America. And I'm not even American... Hey, who exactly was that comment meant for, Obiwan?

  • Hmm...perhaps you're asking why bin Laden hates America. If that is indeed the case, he issued two fatwas which declared America an enemy, till they stop supporting Israel, and remove their military from Musilm countries. I do hope that answers your question.

  • aisdara, have you learnt the history of israel-palestine conflict?

If you have, then it's good for you because I'm afraid that probably you only know the facts from one side only, as many muslims in this world do

  • m4rs12, I do know a fair bit about the Israel-Palestine conflict. And I'm not picking sides; I believe that both sides have had a hand in the violence. All I said was, the fact that Muslims feel that the Palestinians are being oppressed causes them to hate the US, because of its support for Israel.

  • wrong. Muslims are supposed to hate the non-believers and are supposed to fight in the Cause of allah until all religion is for Allah (Qur'an 8.39 & about 50 other places.)

  • Dear God, I'm too tired for this. Just read my other posts, and you'll find out why you're wrong. If you don't, then have some Kool Aid, and listen to some Placebo. It'll do you a world of good.

  • It's amazing that someone as retarded as this hick can get elected to congress.

  • doesnt surprise me anymore who gets elected in the US.

  • You sr. are the retard like all the leberal left, traitors who are voteing wrong today.

  • Hahaha, you red staters crack me up every time. Keep on destroying the US from within, republicans. The world will be happy when you're done.

  • What liberal people from blue states fail to see is that if Islamics had their way those liberal people would be the first eliminated. People like Rosie O'Donnell call them 'moms and dads too' but those same moms and dads would throw her off the nearest building as a godless homosexual. Al-Sistani the great 'moderate' Iraqi shiite says homosexuals should be 'killed in the worst way possible'.

  • What conservatives fail to see is that any talk about Islamic extremists "having their way" is nothing but fear mongering demagoguery. The fact that these people don't "have their way" even in Muslim countries defeats this argument from the outset.

  • And as for Al-Sistani, his view represents that of a minority of Shia Muslims, who themselves are the minority when it comes to Muslims worldwide. Zack, it was funny the first time, but please, stop pretending that you know exclusively what Muslims want. My only fear is that others who have no firsthand knowledge of the religion might take you seriously.

  • aisdara - you know as well as I do that al-Sistani's views on homosexuals are traditional and mainstream, but sunni and shi'a.

  • sorry - BOTH sunni and shi'a kill homos... always have.

  • Both Sunni and Shia "kill homos"? I think you need some time to think about what you've jus tsaid.

  • What part did you not understand? You want quotes from both sunni and shi'a religious leaders?
