baha you wanna see subs check my 4 pioneer omega series mega magnet compitions in a 200 pound acoustics box runnin off only 3000 watts with the car bolted down!
@08pinoy427 trust me my subs in my single cab gmc sierra.. i have to 2011 memphis 10's and 2 kicker 10's under the bench seat... trust me your 18 doesnt want none,
@911GingerKiller911@08pinoy427 Well, pinoy you should have mentioned something else. Do you have enough money to get a nice amp to power those subs. The sub size isn't shit if your underpowering them. Most people get the ZX750.1 kicker amp for two 12" kicker subs with 800 peak wattage each. But I'm about to order the ZX850.2 kicker amp, and I'll let you know how it does if you don't have your amp yet. commented 2 months ago though, so you probably already have an amp.
@911GingerKiller911 12s have more surface area than 10s so it will hit harder, but i rock 15s now, i used rock 12s but cant beat a 15 but 12s are still good
@911GingerKiller911 it doesnt matter if there bigger sometimes they have the same impedance therefore they will run the same rms so basically i would find some strong ass 10's and save a couple bucks
man it fully brings out my type r's potential. but im afraid it wont last forever ha. im pretty sure it can push 2 12's no problem. its a great amp IMO.
@imupabove i just got my cvx 12 , i also have a 750.1 and my friend is runnin two type r's on 1400 watts and mine hits harder , i havent metered mine yet it most definitely is louder
age old queston. depends on what you want. some ppl say type rs are SQ subs but are made to be SPL but they have much better sound quality than the CVXs but the CVX is the type of sub that has people turnin there heads frownin at you. just depends on what you want. you want them haters mad at you or you want some sound quality for your music. regardless they will hear you.
wow the type r as an sq?! its pure spl. the type x is designed more for sq. CVX aren't bad. the SQ of the CVX will kill the L7 anyway. No I am not a fan of kicker at all because of the low sensitivity, but if a cvx became available for a good price, i would take it no doubt. Same with the type r, the type r's put up some good numbers and can take a lot of abuse for spl. I know you know your subs, but just adding on. keep bumpin!
i know a lil somn. but lemme ask you a question. my county(schools) are having a bass off and i have 2 15" CVXS running off a kicker zx2500.1 and a friend of mine is runnin 2 12" Type Xs and a 2500w rockford amp. who do you think would win the crown?
and dude i love kicker. its the only brand i can have in my car. its ashame they dont make decks. lol. but thas why i went out and bout the best circle sub from kicker cuhz the L7 15" is SHIT.
CVX 15" sensitivity is 92.3 db, type x 12" is 84 db. The biggest determinant will be the setups though. The types of cars, box tuning, voltage, wire gauge etc. I'd say you have the edge without a doubt though due to more cone area and higher sensitivity. Both of those are very nice setups though, good subs and both are amazing amps.
haha i like you man! but damn i did not know the sensitivity on the type x was that bad! i actually found a good deal on craigslist and bought one and the SQ and SPL shocked me(it was one single sub). But yeah im saving up to get a new alternator and prly go by a 0guage wiring kit just to be at the top of my game. The only thing that he has that i dont is a custom box because his is in a jeep. and i have mine in a trunk.
thats what i like to hear man. i got 4/4gauge in my car just because 0 was way to pricey and not recommended for my amp. Your system should straight slam, you will notice such a big difference with a better voltage from the alt and also i even noticed a big difference when i upgraded my gauge of wire.
nice subs...im looking for about four 10" subs dat r good because i got a box it fits four 10s and a 15 an i wnr find a good brand for 10s but im in australia and the pricing would b diff
hey do u think that i could build a box small enough to fit 2 cvx 10's right behind the seat of my 454ss...i have 2 c10's right now but that aint shit....i wanna upgrade but i need a lil bigger box...every box i see that ppl have on here is really really deep!
ofcourse the deepness if for better bass quality..but i recommend a custom box..or look around for a nice pair of shallow speakers..punch p3 have shallow 10 pushing 350-400 rms..
nice subs. i have 2 10 inch kicker cvr's are the cvx's a lot better. mine max out each at 600 so 1200 max all together. i want to get the cvx's but will their be a noticable change? and also can these fit behind the backseat of my chevy silverado crew cab because thats where my subs are currently fitted, and also can these be heard down the block
yea the cvx's definatly make a bigg difference. i mean each one runs at 600 rms and max out at 1200 watts, so they twice as powerful as the cvr's, plus they hit at lower levels, im pretty sure they can get down to 25 hz, so they get pretty deep. im sure u can fit them into ur crew cab. my friend was able to fit 2 12" cvx's in his f150, he just had to fold up his back seat.
not really, they are just cheap in price, rockford fosgates rock ma audio rocks, memphis audio rocks, phoenix gold rocks, orion rocks and so do others, kicker are good though
didn't see good subs either....

jaes610 2 years ago
sensitivity is bull shit, you just add more power and it will catch up. (like 3 watts extra). Type R 15" vs CVX 15" type R would kill it.
wrxsti111 2 years ago
Lol type r 15s are better than cvx 15s?
750 watts compared to 1000. Youre a joke.
leapoldstotch56 2 years ago
I'm a joke? LMAO, wattage isnt everything, theres many other factors in a subwoofer twat.

In regards to "playing deep", that is all subject to the enclosure. Any speaker can play below 20hz, its all a matter of playing it effeciently.
