  • I just found my load master 2500 last night raped in a newspaper from aug 26,1987 i thought it got loast in the shuffel.its a little dirty but looks like it will clean up overall in good shape i took care of my things as a kid ;im going to get sum batterys latter and see if it still works???

  • Best..toy..ever! But yeah it broke easily. I had two, neither one lasted long but it was great while I had them. I never see them around. I am going to grab one of those Tonka ones which should be a rear loader but have the packing blade in the middle.

  • Check out the new "Garbage Boat" iPhone/iPad app!

Its a garbage truck on the water!

  • cool but now very strong :/

  • preaty cool

  • oh my god i used to have that when i was a kid that was my favortie toy

i have been looking for some think like that for years ,,,,SWEET IT STILL WORKS .

  • thanks for posting i had 1 playe dwith it all the time if you ever want to get rid of it let me know i think it had little garbage pails too

  • are these stronger than the haller x2 bruder

  • I would have to say no. The Loadmaster is made of a more rigid plastic which can crack easily. The motor and gear drives work well enough until the body is filled, but lack sufficient torque to really pack out. The sweep panel will stop against a wad of newspaper caught beneath its edge. The wheel gearbox wears out in a hurry (no axle shaft bushings).

There are a lot of weak points which really come out when it is "played" with. The best ever made for realism but should be mre robust

  • Cool

  • I LOVE THIS TRUCK!

  • When I was a kid I had one of these toys. With out a doute my favorite toy. Thanks for the flash back.

  • HOW CAN I BY ALL MEANS BUY THE TOY OF THIS GARBAGE TRUCK AHEAD THOUGH IT WANTED?

  • could you do an inside body cam please and poste it to me

  • Good idea. I will see if my camera will fit

  • thanks hope it does fit

  • where can here be brougt

  • No longer available in stores. Sometimes these are sold on Ebay

  • Where can here be bought?

  • They were last produced in 1970. You can sometimes find used ones on Ebay

  • Dose it want the toy of this gargage truck by all means and where do it obtain?

  • Its so cool!!

  • does the ejector push back as it fills up and doesw the ejector go all the back and forward

  • The ejector is manually controlled by an electric motor. The switch is behind the truck cab. It does not react to load pressure.

  • They should make one based on the Leach 2R Packmaster.

  • if i ever do get hold of one of them i would put fevers in it because they are so light and would pack for a very long time before its full

  • what scale is the truck

  • I don't know for sure: I would guess it is approximately 1/12 scale. Overall length is about 15"

  • that is so cool how much can you pack on it then put bulk in the back

  • The packer mechanism can be described as weak. It will fill the body, put it won't really pack much. The electric motor is just not that strong. My biggest complaint is that the packing cycle is unrealistically fast. If they had geared it down a little more, it would have been perfect, and possessed a little more packing power as well!

  • how much was it? cool truck by the way!

  • I'm not sure, I think this one only cost me about $200.00 or so. I've paid as much as $600.00 and as little as $40.00 in recent times

  • This truck ROCKS!!! We want one

  • Really cool video!

  • I want a truck like that but made out of metal

  • haha, yeah and instead of running it on batteries feed it some nitro >:D

  • I recall seeing the commercial for this toy garbage truck and it was in 1970.

  • I had one of these as a kid. Sadly it just kinda disappeared(it was given away by my mother to goodwill or amvets when she decided I was too old to have such stuff)

I remember spending hours playing with this truck!

  • that is so cool

  • thats great..where did you find that??

  • bought it on ebay

  • Managed to U/L a video of my Street Sweeper 2nd attempt not too good but ok.. I'll try for some better video soon. Have a look here: v=T2Voif5i88g

  • Ahh that sound brings back fond memories. I have the Wayne Street Sweeper made by the same company. Got it way back in the early 70's It sounds identical! I'll have to post a video of it. Any idea what these toys go for nowadays?

  • I would love to see the sweeper! Not surprising it sounds the same, probably the same motors and gearboxes (which are really of P.O.S. quality to boot). Nice examples of this truck sell for $500-1000, beat up ones for a little less.

  • i like the way the baggie sounded when stufed further in there

  • thats flippin sweet

  • ok ok now wat happeneds if u put ur fingas innit lol

were did u get that amazing toy

  • I kinda hurts when this thing gets your fingers, because the blade has a somewhat sharp edge. Fortunately, the motor is not powerful enough to do any damage!

  • you can do this with hydroulic crane truck its be cool

  • I collect garbage truck toys and have never seen this very cool truck. Where did you find it?

  • This was made by Child Guidance Toys in 1970, an exact replica of the Loadmaster LM-120. They are pretty hard to find since they have been out of production so long. Ebay is the only place I know of to find them, but even there, they are few and far between.

  • I WANT ONE!
