You all are really dumb. Girls don't even start pitching untill there in the 8 and under league. And even then, the coach still comes in and pitches after 4 balls are pitched. So for a 4 year old to be pitching is pretty good. Granted who fucking knows if she will be good or not just the fact that she did that is pretty cool. Most 4 year olds can't pay attention to something for longer then 5 minutes. Let alone throw a ball.
I'm 12 and pitch 50 almost 60 not exactly. But i can throw a curve drop change and change screw .. But i bee in lessons since I was 4 so I'm the best pitcher in my league in speed .
I'm 14 and can pitch 75-80 I decided to play on junior high team instead of highschool this summer because they needed a good pitcher but next year I have to do highschool....but I'm excited! :)
my sister is an amazing pitcher started when she learned how to walk and when she was in 6th grade was our varsity pitcher for our school now she is freshman pitching as fast as the college pitchers. if this girl keeps it up she can be just like my sister or probably even better!! :) Dont give up!!!!
@101michaelbublefan just sayin! if she wants to pitch she better try to break habits soon becuz i was leaning when i pitch and i went to a new pitching coach and in the middle of the first practice she stopped me and sent me to the emergency room becuz i had a knot the size of a golf ball and if i didnt go to physical therapy i wouldnt be aloud to pitch anymore and im only twelve but she is alittle young to be worrying about it... just a tip :)

To all the people talking about mechanics on here: a child that age can't comprehend them and it's better off just getting a ball into there hand; having them go through the motion. There is no way you can pitch that fast, you probably can't even through that fast, not while hitting your spots you can't, it probably goes all over the place. @Baileyrocks7598 Unless you are around 5'7, no one at age 11 can physically sustain pitching at altitudes of 58 MPH. That's about the speed of College World Series pitchers...no offense, but you probably pitch more like 45 MPH.

The average 14U-16U pitcher has a normal fastball of about 50, 55ish. I would know since my sister plays 16U. College World Series pitchers pitch about 60-65, and do not reach 70. @111applejax there are only a couple of pitches, drop, fast, change, curvball,screw, rise. u must only hav different grips. i made a typo so lay off of me. and for a 12 year old, u sure do curse alot. i can't wait to c u get kicked out of a game for inapropriate behavior. and btw im there is no perfect speed for a person.i've only been pitching for 1 year, so beat that. this is how we all learn. excellent form and CONTROL for a little kid. hopefully she has an interest and continues, if she does, she'll do very well. not everyone can pitch, so for her to have a good form from simple imitation, is a good start! way to go kennadi!

@Baileyrocks7598 Unless you are around 5'7, no one at age 11 can physically sustain pitching at altitudes of 58 MPH. That's about the speed of College World Series pitchers...no offense, but you probably pitch more like 45 MPH.

But she HAS pitched 57 her name is taylor and she plays for a team called panther pride :)

@SoftballSNJ Actually, altitudes can be used to describe many ratios, in my opinion. I don't think you know what you are talking about, actually. The average 14U-16U pitcher has a normal fastball of about 50, 55ish. I would know since my sister plays 16U. College World Series pitchers pitch about 60-65, and do not reach 70. I'm afraid you are very confused.

Obviously you were not watching the College World series or the regionals/super regionals because Kenzie Fowler(Arizona) & Ivy Renfroe (Tennessee) both pitch 66-69mph consistently. And Oklahoma's Kelani Ricketts pitches 70-73 on AVERAGE and she's only 18 and a freshmen!
