I still miss the way Alyessa looked in SH1. She wasn't that stereotypical creepy child, ya know? She looked older, more regal. *Sigh* I miss the old days.

I'm sorry, but I don't find Silent Hill Scary. Alot of suspense, yes, but not scary. It had its moments, but it wasn't like crazy scary. I thought the butcher or some shit would be following me and popping up out of nowhere when u least expect it type thing. I just had a different view of silent Hill and it didn't meet my expectations.
@Spiceycocoa Yeah you're right... but if you go deep or I might say very deep, its really scary.. That's why its not HORROR but psychologically HORROR!!!
@Spiceycocoa Silent Hill: Origins shouldn't even be looked at as a real Silent Hill game, it is an embarrassment. If you want to see Silent Hill at its true horror play either the original Silent Hill or Silent Hill 2.
@zhoban Sure, I will look into it. Cause I have never played SH before so I thought why not start with the prequel so I tried SH: origins and it was...not what I expected. Plus the game was too short, the storyline was boring..to sum it up it wasn't very eventful and a disappointment. I'm willing to give it a second chance as my friend said the same thing the 1st and 2nd one is the best and something about SH: the room is also good...I guess. : /
@Spiceycocoa Just so you know if you have a PS3 or a PSP you can download Silent Hill for $5.00 so you don't have to buy the original Playstation version. The original Playstation version is pretty expensive. I believe I bought my copy for $40 and that was just last year.

As for Silent Hill 4: The Room, different fans have different opinions on it..

I'll admit, this was my very first Silent Hill game and I really hated it. I didn't find it scary or challenging at all, and I didn't get the story at all. And the ending was very dissapointing. I found Silent Hill 2 in a used game store and I played about an hour of that. So far I'm enjoying it muh better than this game. It's a lot scarrier and the atmosphere is better.
@666Brutalius Well it's not like I'm the only person who's right. Plenty of people said that this one was the scariest one they played. I wouldn't say that only the first 4 are worth playing. In a way, even if some aren't great, I'd say all of them are worth playing.
the final boss battles in every silent hill game suck. There never intense or climatic and usually very short. They need to step they game up foreal or the silent hill 8 will be shunned...
this isnt silent hill! this and homecomming are terriblely written games who just rip off the movie, and destroy a very well written world! i mean look at this final boss, its not scary at all....

@lionid Well if you say that 3 was scary but 3 and 1 are basiclly the same boss, they both god born from pain. Maybe the graphics wernt as scary but playing that as a teen scared the shit out of me. and as for 2, anyone who says its not good in anyway needs to go back and play it, carse its the best one and its very very scary in all ways.

I was wondering why Alessa just didn't try to hand over the baby to Travis, but now I remember the ending... Travis looks back in his mirror and see's Alessa holding a baby..."Fuck that shit," thinks Travis as he starts his truck and takes off. He had had enough shit for a couple of days.
The girl was a sacrifice, the people in the room are cult members, and what better place to make a scary game like this? Vegas? Demonic prostitutes and transvestites aren't that scary. more like disturbing.

Shes burned not because of them, she got trapped in a house fire at the start, but Travis saves her from the burning building, despite her pleas to leave her to die, before he collapses and loses consciousness and the Order get her again. The girl is a powerful psychic, but the bad guys are using her as a conduit to birth a god, however, through Travis's intervention, her soul is split in two, putting the embryo of the god into a dormant state, while the new baby is found by Harry, star of SH1
Alessa is actually a good charecter of sorts, she doesnt want herself to be used like this, as you see in the ending, she leaves the baby in a place where it is found by Harry, btw Alessa is now immortal due to being the carrier of the god, hence her healed injuries. She is a sacrifice as sorts, as all potential attempts to ressurect the god have failed with the womans death.
The boss looks to generic; not Silent Hill-ish enough...they should have based it on one of the illustrations from the Dictionnaire Infernal (look it up).
Silent Hill is a real town in the game series, but it's been long deserted. The Otherworld is another dimension accessible through Silent Hill. I haven't even played the games and that much is obvious. As for Purgatory, it could be that Silent Hill is the Earthbound entrance into Purgatory, with Otherworld being either Purgatory or a level of Hell that makes the character live through personified guilt and hate in the form of demented creatures and a freaky man in a rabbit suit
the surruondings mimick that of mountonous california, where as some of the towns layout, espeically the lakeside amusment park, is much like that of Denver colorado, and suprisingly allot is related to centeralia pensivania which was teh draw for the town's stor in the movie, also to be noted there is a toluca lake located in cal afornia, i htink near LA, so yeah
wow guys, ok here's my take if you care, in the game silent hill is a real town, it has allot of backstory from 1-2, harry went to the town before he was involved with all the strange incidents for "vacations" the resort town had inidents galore, and its history stretches back to before the civil war. In REAL LIFE, meaning our world, silent hill isnt real of course, but it is based off several real towns, thes urroundings mimick that of (to be continued)

Straight Jacket = Hopstial
Mrs. Grady = Aslyum (Can't spell the real word)
Large man with neck under his legs (Forgot name) = Theater
Butcher = The Motel's kitchen
Mr.Grady = The Motel room he killed himself in
Demon (Last boss) = The Anqiue Shop
Weird thing you go there in Silent Hill and find a small ritual room

I was wondering why Alessa just didn't try to hand over the baby to Travis, but now I remember the ending... Travis looks back in his mirror and see's Alessa holding a baby..."Fuck that shit," thinks Travis as he starts his truck and takes off. He had had enough shit for a couple of days.

The girl was a sacrifice, the people in the room are cult members, and what better place to make a scary game like this? Vegas? Demonic prostitutes and transvestites aren't that scary. more like disturbing.

Shes burned not because of them, she got trapped in a house fire at the start, but Travis saves her from the burning building, despite her pleas to leave her to die, before he collapses and loses consciousness and the Order get her again. The girl is a powerful psychic, but the bad guys are using her as a conduit to birth a god, however, through Travis's intervention, her soul is split in two, putting the embryo of the god into a dormant state, while the new baby is found by Harry, star of SH1

Alessa is actually a good charecter of sorts, she doesnt want herself to be used like this, as you see in the ending, she leaves the baby in a place where it is found by Harry, btw Alessa is now immortal due to being the carrier of the god, hence her healed injuries. She is a sacrifice as sorts, as all potential attempts to ressurect the god have failed with the womans death.

Silent Hill is a real town in the game series, but it's been long deserted. The Otherworld is another dimension accessible through Silent Hill. I haven't even played the games and that much is obvious. As for Purgatory, it could be that Silent Hill is the Earthbound entrance into Purgatory, with Otherworld being either Purgatory or a level of Hell that makes the character live through personified guilt and hate in the form of demented creatures and a freaky man in a rabbit suit

the surruondings mimick that of mountonous california, where as some of the towns layout, espeically the lakeside amusment park, is much like that of Denver colorado, and suprisingly allot is related to centeralia pensivania which was teh draw for the town's stor in the movie, also to be noted there is a toluca lake located in cal afornia, i htink near LA, so yeah

wow guys, ok here's my take if you care, in the game silent hill is a real town, it has allot of backstory from 1-2, harry went to the town before he was involved with all the strange incidents for "vacations" the resort town had inidents galore, and its history stretches back to before the civil war. In REAL LIFE, meaning our world, silent hill isnt real of course, but it is based off several real towns, thes urroundings mimick that of (to be continued)
