well the 5 series is much cheaper (atleast where i live, here in germany BMW mercedes and audi are normal brands like ford in america, a 5 series costs 38.000€ here and a jaguar XF 50.000€)

@Bwause83 you are NOT comparing like with like, a 2.0 BMW with NO standard kit can not be compared to a fully standard kitted out 3.0 XF, the prices are very similar once you get the comparisons the same

@Bwause83 DOH, you can not compare the cheapest version of each as they are not competing in the same section of the class you have to compare like for like. Well thats whats done in teh rest of teh world, maybe Germany has to be different, you cant compare a superior car (kit and engine size) to a less superior car (kit and engine size), you might as well then say a 1 series is cheaper than an XJ

i honestly cannot see one reason why someone would buy a 5 series over this, it looks better, the interior is very different, yet not futuristic or stupid looking, the engines are absolutely brilliant and from what ive heard it drives pretty decent too!
