  • And so this day, I felt myself wrapped in a melody, and gently caressed with a bliss that is music to my soul.

  • I just love all solvent music. So gentle and so beautiful!

  • This is a brilliant song from a brilliant composer. I've been listening to Solvent for many years now and never hesitate to recommend this music to anyone and everyone.

  • Love Your music I also am a Composer mostly real time events but i find inspiration from your melody's especially the use of what i call Sailing notes you and Bochum welt are my favorites

  • You'll never know how much your music means to me, even if I tell you. I was listening to Kraftwerk back in '75, progressed through Fad Gadget, Human League, Heaven 17, Gary Numan, Yello and several other bands you list as your influences on your website. Then there was a big gap and I was starting to get into ambient until you came along and reminded me that melody is quite a good thing! This is one of my favourites and utterly sublime. Thanks Solvent. And please come over and play in the UK.

  • Answer to AntiVenomFangX, part 2:

The connction between analogue synthesizers and "the voice of the universe" - electromagnetic waves - is explored in several works of the electronic music pioneers in the 70s.

Listen for example to Kraftwerk's "Antenna", "Pulsar"... Tangerine Dream's "Phaedra" sounds like something from outer space as well.

  • cool

  • someone tell the hipsters that this is how electro should sound.

  • i dont think good music is fact. it is opinion.

  • @AntiVenomFangX

    either/or, same difference.

  • like a clear autumn-morning.........amazing!!!

  • A little electronic gem. It sounds as if only synthesizers from 1982 and before are used.

Those are only synthisizer sounds worth using: the analogue sounds. The sounds of the Universe.

The opposite are the digital sounds, made with samplers and digital "synthesizers". Those are basically just the result of connecting a tape recorder to a keyboard.

  • Jason Amm claims he uses only vintage synthtesizers,so I guess you have a very good ear.Anyway, his machines may be old,but the rythms and melodies are way too complex for 1982.

  • analogue are sounds on the universe?

    tell me more im interested

  • AntiVenomFangX: The analogue synthesizers use additive synthesis, adding the basic waveforms that are found in e.g. electromagnetism, such as light, radiowaves etc.

The analogue synthesizer sound is translating the distant voices of the universe into audible sound. This is done though sound generators and oscillators, modulated and filtered into sounds that were never heard before the invention of the analogue synthesizer.

  • Your comments on my song are very humbling - thank you. I use mostly analog synthesizers, but there's a bit of digital here. The main synth in this song (all of the chords + the flute-like sound) is a Korg Poly-800, a very humble and mostly-crap synth with digital OSCs + analog filters. I haven't used this synth in a song before or since, but it sure did work well in this song. There also a bit of digital Kawai K4 in here, plus lots of Roland Jupiter 6, and drums are CR-78 + samples from my MS20

  • A pleasure to hear from the composer himself. One of the best electronic music composers I know. I hope you get the success you deserve.
