I don't think any of these negative comments are coming from victims, survivors, or family members of a victim. If you knew what it was to be violated by another human being in such a way that they ruin not only your everyday life, but your connections with members of the opposite sex, render you incapable of healthy sexual relationships, & produce memories that you cannot escape... What happened to human decency & empathy. This woman is a Godsend.
Awareness is the first step. It's sad to say that many of us are not prepared for the unexpected. Life is an unexpected journey. Now more than ever we need to protect ourselves with pepper spray, alarms, and anything that will help defend yourself. Nice video with a powerful message.
A good video, Chileman. The problem you've addressed is a serious one -- I too have seen it in my own family, and the effects are lasting, even when the violence has ended. I hope the business you've begun is successful; it's nice to see you've responded to tragic circumstances by building a way to help.
Three of your family members battered or such...all at once or what? Sounds a little odd. Nobody learned how to be a little mean and unpredicatable? I agree with the self defense message, but not the victimhood message. No, we don't own guns. We don't need them and it would just get us into trouble anyway should they be stolen.
idk man if you give woman to many weapons i'm damn sure they will use them when they feel like it spray us in the eyes for asking them where is 3rd street has anyone seen that video where the guys like excuss me miss then she starts spraying him in the eyes and screaming then gets her tazer and starts zapping the crap outta that poor guy...? Yea.... case closed......
Regarding some "facts" mentioned in this video...
There are a lot more abandoned pets than there are battered women. Also, when women go to the 1500 shelters they don't get euthanized the way the animals do when they are sent to the 2500 animal "shelters".
So those stats which seem to be suggesting that Americans care more for their pets than their women are rather pointless.
All of the women in my family own handguns.....I was sprayed by 10% oc for training in the Marines , most people can fight through it , some can't .
Im not saying get a gun , but there are other alternatives , batons , knives , The stun gun was a nice idea but I would use one that shoots the darts on a wire just to keep my distance. Some good training , then maybe a gun. My mother has all of the above she is 4 foot 9 inches tall and 105lbs.
You have to know what the problem is or can be for sure. Yes you are right. The hard way will definitely get the message across but still best to avoid if possible.
chileman, thanks for posting this video. Apparently you have struck a nerve within the deeply disturbed and anti-woman MRA sect. Which means you must be doing something right!
Now now kids behave. I just tell it like it is. If they are in DENILE I'll throw them a rope. Every day I see evidence that domestic violence for example is a inherited trait.
Rape, Domestic Violence, and Sexual Harrasment have been conceptually linked for strategic purposes. This way beliefs about the cause of one can easily transfer to the other. But these are very separate phenomena. In intimate relationships, women actually initiate the bulk of violent conflict. In the office, both males and females recieve unwanted attention from the opposite sex. And "rape" needs to be clearly defined before it can be talked about rationally and intelligently without misleading.
chileman. There is a difference between "raising awareness" and spreading misinformation and half-truths, am I wrong?
You need to start questioning the credability of your sources and double check them.
If you tried reversing the genders in your statistics, would you still take them on faith? Probably not. Why not? Because these lies support and strengthen your pevious assumption that women are victims and men are perpetrators. And that view is actually not supported by the facts.
I don't know about how police are trained and edducated in your jurisdiciton, but in mine they are indoctrinated by VAW advocates. They have overtly sexists policies in dealing with possible cases of domestic violence, and they also have a safety first, guilty until proven innocent mandate. Sexism and misinformation + zero tolerance and presumption of guilt = bad news for all men who are not getting along with thier partner/spouse.
St37One, I bet you deny the holocaust too. Oh, and white people are oppressed. Why don't YOU do some research and read some statistics? Unless you're getting them from MRA sites, which I'm sure you are, they clearly support the poster's video. But then again, I'm giving you too much credit, you are willfully ignorant and in denial, if not an outright criminal, just like the rest of the MRA cronies.
I can make up cheap slandor about you just as easily BTW.
Why dont I do the research? Unlike you I dont have any aversion to exploring the evidence and arguments, since I don't compare skepticism about the claims coming from women's shelter advocates to holocaust denial.
As far as sources. Why don't we share and compare?
yes... yes... very noble, and blah blah. but honestly stfu. im tired of all the anti-male bs. Not every man wants to rape and assult women. This video and all like it, are negative influences on our society.
Although some of your statistics seem a bit to high, I can recognize that women are victims to assault, abuse, and just pure brutality. As men we must recognize this epedemic that seems to be affecting more men around the world. If we are the stronger sex then we should start protecting our daughters, mothers, sisters, and wives. If we are the stronger sex then we should learn to control our anger and rage, because the worst thing a act a man can commit is violance towards a woman or child.
KAJ33T what the fuck are you talking about? Men have been protecting females since the dawn of humanity. Men made laws to punish those males that assault women, men still are the ones who will defend a woman if she is attacked by another male etc. Rape is an exception in male-female relations, not the norm. I suggest you stop polluting your brain and the internet with your feminazi anti-male paranoia.
Not all men are as protective as they should be. Though probably most men are decent there are many that are very ignorant, ruthless, twisted individuals who see women as subhuman. I speak from first hand experience when I say these things. As far as the law is concerned, just like anything else, there's room for improvement. There are times when it works against the victim. I'll admit there are women who abuse the system but the ones that really need it don't always get exactly what they need.
so sad that women cannot live in this world in peace, on my behalf i apologize for the trouble my gender has caused. what we have done is pointless and ridiculous and evil but sadly other males dont see things the way i do
I have an idea, women's only gun ranges. Many rifle and pistol ranges can inevitably develop a macho character that even though not offensive or aggressive to women, it is certainly not appealing unless personally introduced. There are exceptions but there is not proportional representation.
Guns can be fun for both genders and if women can get experienced and familiar with guns then they can be ready to defend themselves with the most effective tool.
For domestic abuse it would be far better to support police and laws that will over-rule women who shield men from justice due to battered-wife's/Stockholm syndrome.
As for associates, ex-partners and relatives who are violent, women have to be ready to sever all feelings and not show any mercy for someone who tries to hurt them. This is why men are not victims they can emotionally detach to defend themselves. Also why most attackers are men IMHO.
Thank you. I want to buy your products. I wonder though, could I possibly get in trouble for carrying "concealed weapons:" or is there any law against this sort of thing in my state (Illinois). Just curious. I will definitely invest. I am tired of being afraid, and I want to feel safe. I was thinking about getting a dog too (german shepard). What are your thoughts on that? Where can I find more information about self defence? Thanks for your help.
thank you sooo much!! im only 14 years old, but i've been told that i should learn some form of self defense. this was soo helpful!! i think it's really great that you are raising awareness in everyone.
Thanks for the kind words. Now it is your turn to do something. Some basic self defense techniques learned at your age will last you a lifetime and turn fear into confidence. Get some of your friends to join you. Good luck.
Another great and informative video, Jack. I know you are a great vendor at the same time and that's just as important to be dealing with a reliable, trustworthy Internet store.
I never knew about the Stun Gun Cell Phone. What a smart idea. Finally a good use for a cell phone!!!!!!!!!!!!! The best gift for every student you know. The pepper spray hand weights are brilliant. Every woman running or walking in public park or hiking trails should have one.
I share your dream, for the cost of a trip to a fast-food drive through, a woman can save her own life, maybe we (women) don't believe we are worth it, but if only we knew how our families, especially our children, felt about us, maybe we would... at least try. Women are always doing for others, but not themselves. Amazing, if only we could see ourselves through someone else's eyes, we'd see our own value.
My god ppl grow a set, the worlds shitty ya but fuck stop winning about it
