  • Can I use those shears for food preparation too?

    only kidding!

    that's amazing, she looks incredible!

  • Her hair looks great but any hairstyle would look good on a girl with a face as beautiful as hers.

  • There is a must read book for the hairstylist coming out of school called "From the bowl to the chair" a must read for 9.95

  • as much as i agree with you, calm yourself down bro.

take a look at your name. haha

  • Lol my name is a gaming name. Not someone beggin for attention...

  • I think girls look very, very cute with that hair cut!

Oh, and it is not truly emo, this comes from the 1920 an 30s haircut.

Emo or not she looks cute.

  • I don´t know, but I always do that with one scissor, and thats ok. I don´t need that.

    But...have fun.

  • Does anyone kno the name of those scissors?

  • flying shears hun

  • he's cuttign too much hair

  • Yikes! Edward scissorhands hair topiary - yet another gimmick. Can't see it being good on fine hair though.

  • lmao too funny. i was thinking the same thing.

  • the 3 scissor thing is insane... cute hair cut

  • Very nice, Are those three scissors made into one? How in the world do you cut with three scissors?

  • That's pretty cool

  • what if like....he stabbed....her head

  • How the fuck does that have to do with "Graduation" ??

  • the layers are graduating downwards

  • its 1 of the 4 basic hair cut styles. IDIOT

  • K Just because I don't know shit about hairstyling and cuts, doesn't make me an "IDIOT".

I made a comment with a question, you don't need to be immature and call me an idiot. Fuck, grow up.

  • its easy to know. its a stylist video, its common sense

  • Yea okay whatever, 'Ms. I know everything'

  • very good

  • he got scissor happy! but its cute

  • are those scissors made like that? thats cool

  • wat da heck!!?!??!? 3 scissors? yikes

  • I like this style, very cute, and edgy.

  • Is he kidding? This is not as simple as it looks.

  • @Stopthepresswhosetha

    Right on!

  • OMG

I loved your hair, very perfect...! <3

  • she looks so unamused lol

  • you need your cosmetology license taking away

  • "Taking" or "taken"? Capitalization and punctuation would help also.

  • i thought it was cute in the beginning 2.

  • From boring to interresting!!!

    Two thumbs UP!!

  • I want him to cut my hair! That looks so cute!

  • wow that is so amazing. Love it!

  • wow! i love it! why did he use three scissors?!

  • It looks like one pair to me. They're designed for this haircut.

  • OMG I LOVE IT

  • much admired dexterity!!!!

  • wow i love it

  • you did great but i'd take the word SIMPLE out LOL what you do is NOT simple! it's talent, it's hard work, it's wonderful, and it's amazing! give yourself more credit - it's not simple!

  • OGM O.O wooooow i love it, it's amazing!!!!

IT just looks too simple like that, you know, with those humongous scissors Oo lol

  • My hand would get tired!!

  • How is that simple?!? I. Am. Amazed. Wow!

  • I think the final cut is beautiful.

Hairstyling is inherently aesthetic, values are subjective. If it works, it works.

This guy seems more like a freestyle artist than a beauty "technician" since technicians in any field follow standard operating procedures. But just because he doesn't, doesn't mean his work has no merit. A lot of you sound like close-minded traditionalists who refuse to accept anything that is non-canonical according to your education. Open your mind to new things.

  • and you will itch like crazy when it's over with all that cut hair on your neck!

  • wow. just wow. What kind of shears are those? never seen those before...

  • Awesome! Where did he get those scissors?!

  • Edward Scissorhands much?

  • this might work for this one haircut, but good luck having that client not be pissed off when they get home not knowing what to do with pieces of hair that dont even make sense to them.

texturizing, and cutting with no technique is a huge difference.

  • Obviously I am not a stylist and I don't "get it." The haircut looks amazing to me and I'd take it in a second. I couldn't do this myself, nevermind with three scissors so, wouldn't that mean that there is at least some kind of technique going on here? ...even if its not the same as what everyone else is learning in beauty school.

  • whats wrong with this dude?

i didnt train to be a hairdresser for 3 years to be shown a haircut that uses 3 pairs of scissors and zero technique

i hope to god noone out there thinks this is a good idea and gives it a go themselvs

    DONT DO IT!

  • those who can should

    those who cant shouldnt

those who want to should try on a dummy first

  • Nice to hear that only half of us are thick. I'll take that as a compliment.

  • you may be in the wrong half..so i wouldnt be too happy

  • Oooooooh! (handbag). And what the F**k do you do?

  • hehe sorry noodle pie im just playing ;) i am a plasterer but probably in the shit half lol

  • Just messin'! Incidentally, my Father's a plasterer......So there's no bitchin' back there then. Everything's cool. lol.

  • great cut!

  • I was surprised to see so many negative comments, seemingly from other stylists. I am not a stylist, but the finished cut looks pretty. I would let him cut my hair.

  • The three scissors technique is just hair dressers trying to look like they've come up with something "new and cutting edge." Frankly, I find it stooooopid! Hair dressing could have so many more advances, they are just too stupid to think of things. I have lots of concepts and I'm not even a hairdresser!

  • I don't know what this guy was thinking, there is no technique whatsoever, anyone with a pair of scissors could do this. Wonder how she's going to feel when that disaster starts to grow out.

    SASSOON for LIFE!!!

  • it was better before...

  • It's a bit misleading to call it a 'graduated bob'; this style has none of the formula techniques of graduation haircuts that I learnt at trade-school or in the salon. The style prior to cutting it was a long graduated bob; he's basically just hacked shorter lengths into the nape, leaving the layers longer toward the front, in a mock 'pob' style. This method only masks poor technique and bad layering.

  • Whatever happend to the right way to cut hair.

If thats how they teach you there youle have no hair left

  • wtf is this attack of the 3 scissorS!a mess!but you know what the cut is kinda cute id be depressed for a few days then wear it out but i would need a few beers to cope with it.

  • oh god i wish i had the guts to cut my hair like this, it looks so good, but my hair is so long, and i waited months to get it this long, now i want to cut it.

  • go for it i had grown my hair for 6 years it was all the way down to my ass and i just decided enough was enough and cut it off last month and i love it .its a great feeling when i can brush my hair and not pull pieces out of it ^.^

  • aww thanks for the advice hun, i think i will do it. :P

  • it's colled 'graduated bob'

  • simply amazing display of natural technique

  • i thought the hair looked great

  • I thought it looked nice. But, what do I know? Art is subjective anyway; isn't it?

  • Well, he messed her up.

  • dude i wouldnt let him at my head with those things. no way!

  • Well, at least the model is pretty.

  • was this just posted so someone could feel good that they can use these edward scissorhand shears? are we supposed to be able to learn something here?

  • Interesting!

  • Congratz on perfecting the art of being lazy. This haircut will absolutely flop into a mess in 2 weeks. There is nothing technical about this. Just grab some hair and shread it to death into a shape that looks similar to graduation. And thoes shears your using.....my god!!!! I hope you not doing any color.

  • Congratz on perfecting the art of being lazy. This haircut will absolutely flop into a mess in 2 weeks. There is nothing technical about this. Just grab some hair and shread it to death into a shape that looks similar to graduation. And thoes shears!!! My god!

    Creative?......sure. Ill give you that.

  • what's your problem? why the tude and how do u figure he's being lazy?

  • Well kingdom, since you asked......I am absolutely passionate about what I do for a living. This is mocking our industry. If you notice, he started out with a "graduated bob" that was obviously grown out and proceeds to shread it to a shorter version. Not once does he pick up a comb, section the hair, use clean lines, ect. I can go on and on. This haircut is very classic and requires a high level of technical skills. He didnt take the time to learn the art of hair cutting and therefore is lazy.

  • i agree cosmetology is a serious buisness and randoms fools cant do it and I absolutly hate bogus tools , products, & techinques- like this one that make the complex easy

  • Its truly awesome that youre passionate about what you do. Yet if the combing, sectioning, and lines arent giving me what I'm looking for, then I have to say, as a consumer, damn the high level of technical skill and give me this three scissor technique with results Im looking for. I tried to get this haircut 5 times- thrice at salons, once with mom and once with the boyfriend. Only my rugged boyfriend succeeded in the result I sought. Guess I'm buying lazy creativity over technical skill?

  • Not all salons are created equal. As well as their stylist. So to say " damn the technical skill".......you obviously havent had the pleasure of getting a hair cut with somebody that does have the skill. Trust me, you wont enjoy this hair cut as much in 2 weeks when the shape is no longer there. Looks can be deceiving. As a consumer, you should be doing some homework and educating yourself to receive the best possible service. What if your doctor was creative, but not skilled? Would you go to him

  • This is Exactly how I wish my hair were cut. It is awesume...GREAT JOB ..YOU ROCK.

  • Where is the comfort and technique...I'm totally not impressed one bit. You can fool the general public. Flying shear...OMG.

I'm from Hong Kong too mate...you will not have a career there.

  • On n'a raté le mien trop dég =(

  • i bet if i took my comb and did a good cross check, the guides would not match up.... do to the shears and being a free handed cut.... but it looks so cool to watch and the cut appears great.

  • WELL DONE!

  • want this hairstyle but i'm scared cuz ya'll hair dresser's get 2 happy wit those sissers

  • i like to see you cut a sister weave like that!

  • thats HOT!!!

  • SWEET!!!!

  • OMG u look so good!! and you do it as if it wwas effortless!

  • Bullshit its SIMPLE

  • then YOU DO IT ! SOUR GRAPE ! :(

  • when i do that cut i do not think of it as simple, you however.....

  • MORE POWE TO YOU ! LOVED IT :)

  • could you di this with the razor?

  • Gorgeous bob! I love it.

  • this is awesome..a totally different way to do this cut then how I was taught..

  • her old bob cut looked so outdated

  • Actually not really

It looks like a modernized version to be honest.

You may want to look at the history of bobs...

    Um yeah.

  • i said HER OLD BOB UM YEA...

  • I also like her old bob

  • dear god lol.....thats toatally not the graduation haircutting i was thinkin of lol....he was removing bulk ore than anything else

  • Thinning the hair, creating layers for width and height, and building graduation is all based upon removal of weight.

This cut would have taken Vidal stylist ages to cut. To render a graduated bob very close to the facial shape will take precise calculation of elevation, tension, and sections. What he is doing is sculpting the hair to his desired shape. Rarely is he just thinning out the hair. If you can use a texturing shear (strongly against them) to cut this hair, then please show me how!

  • The cut was beautiful at the beginning until he thinned her hair out.

  • i think he just thinned her hair out

  • She is so gorgeous!!! Now this is a real woman here.

  • damn....nice scissor...beautifull

  • Shit her hair looked better at 11 seconds

  • lol

  • I really luv this cut. I might just get my hair cut like this next time.

  • Coloured people are soo beautiful...

  • I love that cut.... any chanco of getting some pics of this? Or where do I have to go to get it?

  • pause the video on a part you like, ctrl+PrtSc. open paint paint and paste. crop

    =)

  • That's cute. :D

  • 3scissors?? dats crazy....great talents i wana learn!!!

  • I've never seen anyone cut hair like that...It's amazing...That is what you call talent...

  • OMG. Wow it looks great, becuase Asian hair is so perfect and can go with any style. I cannot believe u were doing/using three scissors at once. I would be afraid I would chop the girls hair off to0 much. U are talented, but that is not simple. I would totally ruin that girls hair.

  • Well yeah might have been easier to pull it all out at the back to the 40 degrees angle, then maybe everyone would know what the hell to do :P

  • i agree.

  • great cut but definitely not simple.

  • Asian hair is gorgeous and lusterous and alway looks good whatever cut, (unless you are bad at hairdressing)We always used this hair on our 'heads' at college. This would look bad on my wispy hair.

  • B U T FULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

  • I don't think you can call this simple. It takes skills to control those scissors.

  • Amazing, but I dont think its simple. Looks great though!

  • I love this hairstyle.. I want to get my hair cut like this... My only fears are cutting my hair...

  • that is GORGEOUS!

  • What you don't see is the graduated cut before he starts texturising, should have showed it at one length first with no grad then cut it in with the triple scissor points ... just a gimmick. Single scissors work best

  • I don't even see why this is labeled as a "how to" video, there is no "how to" about it. It is a nice cut though and I agree about the scissors, I don't see the point

  • wow. free hand graduated bob.

  • THIS DUDE IS GOOOD!!!

  • ...i thought it would look like rihanna's graduated bob hair but i think this isn't a graduated bob at all.isn't it suppose to be like the front hair longer than the back? i'm so confused.

  • Rihanna's bob is a A-line bob. A-line bobs are more creative. Graduated bobs are more into the back of the hair, the layers are gradually getting higher, thus GRADUATED bob.

  • Nice to know for us uninitiated.
