  • sorry about my comment thing, my boyfriend (millersam100) was signed into his youtube account and I thought I was using mine. Anyway, this is Glenda and it was me who made the previous comment :)

  • My husband was jelous *LOL*

  • What a beautiful, expressive, creative hooping video. ThunderShyne, your dance is moving and heartfelt and shows your STRENGTH and your soulfulness. I feel enriched witnessing your beautiful hoopflow. I hope that you will continue to gift us with your dance and with your words. I am inspired and humbled. You have a lot to teach and I'm glad you're part of the hoop community.

  • This is so breathtaking. You put so much spirit and emotion into your hoop moves. You honestly do off-the-body passes better than I can. I just wish I could put as much soul into my hoopdance as you have. You have absolutely inspired me and I look forward to seeing your future hoop videos! You are such an incredible woman!

  • I just love you, girl! You truly are my hoop hero!

  • This is so sweet, Toni! Your hooping is gorgeous, it's amazing what you can do.

  • Yay! You're fantastic! The you that you are is perfect and your performance is awesome, I am someone who has a deformity and I hoop it up too, I love my hoop and I love my flaws! I thank you for asking people to be mindful of their responses to others and to focus on what we can do, plus adapting things is just as creative as any trick! I can see your previous dance training shining through your body, I'm really looking forward to your next hoop dance clip!

  • I agree you really should have been nominated for a Hoopie Award! You are one of the most inspirational hoopers out there. I just want to tell you, YOU DO HOOP DANCE very WELL and I really enjoyed watching your express your intentions to the world! <3 Thanks for sharing this <3

  • I actually nominated her for outstanding newbie, but I guess she got out-voted...TONI, YOU ARE MY OUTSTANDING NEWBIE OF THE YEAR! <3 <3 <3

  • You make me HAPPY!!!

  • Did I tell you how proud we are of you accomplishments despite you handicaps.

    Well I'm telling you now.

    LY! ;-)

  • Thanks, Hoopsessed and Susan. I may be good taking my problems into concideration, but I', not a good dancer and I know it. I know good dancers. Susan, oh I was plenty dizzy doing that video and collapsed afterwards. It was a good day, though, so I was able to do it and not fall. No matter how dizzy I am I won't stop on purpose (I might fall thoygh!) I refuse to give into it until I HAVE to, which irritates ny husband cuz he says I push myself too much.

  • Cont/:

I want you to sit down and watch your first hooping video now, followed by this one again right after and then seen what I saw. Amazing progression in such a short time. And you really do dance beautifully with that hoop.

We missed one. You should have been nominated as "outstanding newbie hooper of the year" for the Hoopies.

  • ThunderShyne I have to disagree with you. How can you say you are not good? You are incredible! You have progressed so far in such a short time. Only a few weeks ago you were saying how dizzy hooping made you and in this video you are turning more or less all the time, including proper dance spins, up on your toes too.

It obviously comes from the heart. I can't imagine how it must feel to loose your sight on top of everything else. But never doubt your abilities.

    cont/:

  • Sorry, Tonilyn, but I have to disagree with you; you ARE good, very good! You're also a true inspiration, something I really needed. THANK YOU!!!

  • Yet another great video from my wife. It reminds me why I married you. Love you.

  • Toni, this video and your message have made my day! You're beautiful and your hoopdance is beautiful! HUGS!!

  • Yes, people can dance no matter what they have, include deaf and hard of hearing people. Keep dancing as much as you like to!

  • Thank you for this video, Toni. For me you are a real fighter. Your video gives me a lot of hope and trust for all. Thank you very much for sharing!

  • Toni you are an inspiration to me! Thank you for sharing this beautiful video. I have gotta get out to LA and hoop it up with you this summer!

  • This video is beautiful Toni. It made me cry. You are a lovely dancer and I am moved by the way you move to and inhabit the music. This video comes to me on a night when I am wondering where I fit in and when I am feeling lost and alone and sad. It makes me feel not so alone and gives me some much needed perspective. Thank you for sharing who you are and your creativity and courage and perspective. You are beautiful.

  • Thank you. I'm glad it helped. I have been feeling very depressed and "lost" lately, and making the video helped me purge those feelings. Sometimes we just need to let go of our pride, or fear of what others will think, and just show who we are.

  • For the deaf/HOH : I don't know how to do captions, and my signing isn't good enough to have signed this, I'm sorry. It is not verbatim because I can't hear exactly what I said, obviously. SMILE

I had to use 2 comments because of character limit. See next comment.

The music is "Out Here on My Own" from Fame.

  • This Hoopdance video is dediccated to those who feel like they don't belong anywhere in this world, for whatever reason. Many people have so much and don't realize it. I know I didn't until I lost it. I grew up dancing, until a brain tumor took that away. I now have Meniere's Disease, balance problems, spaticity on the left side and I'm deaf-blind. There are many things I want to do, but can't do them well. This won't stop me.

  • I recently choose hoopdance and Poi swinging as hobbies. I'll never do them well, but I WILL do them. In this video I dance from the heart. I used a hoop to dance with. It isn't good, there are mistakes. I left those in because this is who I am now, and I can't be someone I'm not. I may not do things well, but I enjoy doing them and will keep on doing them. Maybe this video will make people who have a lot think and look differently on those who have disabilities.

  • And to those who feel they don't belong, I hope you find your place in this world. Blessed Be.

(so I had to use more than 2 - I sure talk a lot!!!)
