Actually, a number of professionals have said the silt levels are still being *evaluated*. The only people saying silt levels were of no impact are city officials wanting to raise our taxes. During a recent forum in Coralville, when local officials were asked if the Army Corps of Engineers had been contacted about dredging, all officials looked at each other dumbfounded, making it obviously clear they had NOT inquired with the Engineers. Oh, and funding for that would come under the ACE.
