  • oh yes, it's a great place! send me your link, i'd love to take a look! xx

  • wow! VERY NICE INDEED! i like to draw and stuff too but i can never think of WHAT to draw :S anyway I was wandering what sort of tools and materials did you use? especially that thing you used to make pencil and pastils to look like paint was it just watercolour pastils and pencils and it was just a paint brush and water?

  • thanks!! :) (your username make me giggle!! In a good way!). i use watercolour pencils (staedler) and watersoluble crayons (caran d'ache). :)) x

  • Your awesomeness and beautiful spirit are such motivation. Thank you for the wonderfulness that is you and for sharing it with us. XXX

PS: Your art is amazing and inspiring as well, thank you for the inspiration you give me to create and to live with fun and passion.

  • That's crazy, I didn't know you were dutch! I used to live in Holland!!

I heb een vraag!!!! How do you get prints of your art work?

I am a fellow artist but have no idea how to go about getting prints, do you have any advice?

Thank you, Love your art and your videos!!

  • ja ja, ik ben nederlands originally. haven't lived there in oh 14 years or so though! :D

you can either go to professional printing places to get prints, or buy a fairly good photo printer (epson) and do them yourself at home. the printers aren't too expensive. the cartridges, sadly, are. but it's all affordable. :)

good luck with your work! :)

  • I usually watch your videos as they come out but today, with some time on my hands, I choose to go over them one by one.

I think the reason I like your videos so much is the philosophy behind their creation. Your thoughts make your art layered, accessible and beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Hope you're going to do a new one soon!

  • thanks so much for your thoughtful feedback and for taking the time to watch the vids. :) i'm currently working on one, which should hopefully up and running by tomorrow! :D tam xo

    Happy Creating!

    ~ Dana Marie

  • Thank You so much Dana Marie. I like that piece a lot too! :-) The original was sold but let me know if you want to buy a print! :-) xo tam

  • i saw you blot the colors with a piece of cloth.. are u using acrylic? is the cloth dry? I tried to do the same, but was not happy with the result. Best regards

  • uhm, not sure which bit you are referring to. i usually use a tissue to remove excess water or smudging that i don't want! in this particular piece i use both acrylics and watercolour pencils + pens. :-) sorry if that doesn't help. if you let me know where exactly you saw 'blotting' (ie min/sec of the vid) i'll take a look and describe what i was doing there. :-)

  • heee ldplummer (gosh, i have got to find out people's first names!), thanks SO much for your comment, made me giggle so much! i'm glad that people find it fun, it was totally intended as a fun/ silly vid!! thank YOU!! xoxo

  • Ho! so cute! I love the little fishes :D

  • thanks monica! me too. i'm thinking we need more lil fishies! xoxo :-)

  • In all seriousness (me serious? nevaaah) I LOVE that piece. I adore how you make it look so textured while still using quite simple materials. And I also love the way you always use yellows and pinks (and sometimes oranges) for the faces it works so well! What is that brush you use when you do your detail work? It looks very effective. I always struggle with the precision bits when using brushes. And did you use a pen at some point for the lines? Tell me, tell me everything!

  • ooooh, YES, i recently bought that mini brush. i had a few tiny brushes before, but they were useless, so i went to the art shop and said; i need a tiny brush that stays 'stiff'. (LOL), he got it though and pointed me to some brand (can't read it on the brush now, it's all covered in paint, sorry!! if you ask in any art shop though, they'll know). Yes, I also use black pen for outlines, have to be careful though as it dissolves at the sight of water!).

    xoxoxo

  • You are so cuuuuuuute!! And thank you for the message. Next time I'd love to hear from Mr Moo again. Mr Moo deserves his own YouTube! Also, very important, ANDY!! MR MOO IS NOT A PILLOW! SHOO! Cows are not furniture! Does a pillow qualify as furniture? But yeah, NO MORE COW SQUASHING!

(I have more to say. But it tells me it's too long. I will post ANOTHER comment. Oh I'm so devious!)

  • heeee heeee!! glad you saw it! i couldn't wait for you to see it and hear/ see your response! ha ha!! you know what, i might give mr moo his own youtube channel ..! andy has gone to hide in a corner after you asked him nicely to respect mr moo! ;) ('cow squashing' had me squirt tea through my nose!)
