I remember it well, first time I ever experienced a full-on riot! Not sure if it was because of the price of beer or the non-scooter skinheads?? LOL we were at the top of the field, right near the line of old bill riot vans that were taking a battering by bricks, bottles, old tents lol. Scooter dealers fighting off looters with bats. It was my second scooter run & aged 17, that was it I was hooked LOL.

I was also there, shame about leaving all those 2litre bottles of beer tho'. Like some others have stated, more a pop concert than a rally.

we ended up sleeping in the police tent on sat night as are tent got washed away with the rain, we left sunday morning so missed all the trouble.

I was there ,the gas canisters were going up like rockets in the beer tent fire. It was the scooter skins who started it all. In the morning we had to weave around unopened 2l beer and cider bottles as anyone caught off site with one would be nicked. Amazing rally shame about the mindless trashing of stalls etc.

I was there for this, i slept through it all though, first i knew of it was in the morning when i woke up an there was all this damage.

Yes it was a great rally,,i was there too,,i was told that it was planned due to that rippoff beer tent not selling all there stock,,and shutting at 11 ??what was that all about on private land aswell,,i suppose they got there insurance money so they was happy

Other than it all kicking off on the Sunday night I remember that as being a great rally, if only as it was only down the A3 for us.
