@macksfischer I always wondered where this was filmed. I though hard about it again as I watched this clip. The location was a main character in this film and I think purposely made to be ambiguous. It was always contrasting from bleek geometrical shaped buildings and pavement to the lush landscaped school grounds and teachers neighborhood. Houston, cool.
This reminds me of when I finished school and my life quickly turned to total crap.
I think a lot of people can relate to the feeling of disillusionment felt when you finish school and quickly realize that life is not about pursuing the passions or dreams your favorite professor convinced you to believe in. It actually sucks out loud sometimes. Good movie/good song.
@TheRalphus666 there was a contest on Howard Stern about guys with the smallest penis, there was not one asian dude on that show..and I quess they make dildos so women dont have to suffered the small penis syndrome , theres more white dudes with small penis than you know, you dont want to find out but its on your mind contantly
Every once in a while a movie scene comes along where a classic hit is planted with it, and the end result is a moment fixed in time that everyone watching remembers. They see the scene and immediately think of the song. They hear the song and immediately think of the scene. I think it is both a beautiful and gifted thing when that happens; great & clever minds are in tune to pull it off. The song, and its sounds and words just fits the film. This "Rushmore" scene is just that. Thx 4 sharing. A+
@bellybroom If you go back to the lower quality version of this video, and click the little grey speech bubble in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, the grey screen covering the picture will disappear.
I have to admit, the first time I saw this film, I didn't actually know what to make of it. I just knew that I liked it. Only after another watch or two, then I really started loving it!
there's nothing wrong with the volume of this song. seriously shut the mother fuck up about it

Unbelievably poignant. Especially the end: He goes to put Margaret's jade plant on his mother's grave.

You're like one of those old clipper ship captains, Max.
You're married to the sea.
Yes, but I have been out to sea for a long time.

Great part of a great movie.
I'm not a stones fan, but I ended up finding the album that track is off since it's not on the soundtrack (Aftermath).
