@cryan5280 I think the song composition (arrangement) is better on the newer songs. Something Wild, as much as I love it, is slop. It's very talented slop, but they threw the songs together. The best guitar harmonies are neither 'old' or 'new' Bodom, they're from that in-between phase (Follow The Reaper, Hatecrew Deathroll). The VOCALS didn't really change much at all, honestly... Lyrics, sure. Emotion and Feeling... I'm not sure how you can gauge that when you're talking about melodeath

@LordAkaneon The only problem with something wild compositionally are the wierd time signatures and tempos also its pretty good knowing most of it was recorded on a record player. Technology is alot better today. "Keyboard guitar harmonies" are good in both but i like the more melodic personally in the old. Vocals have 10x more distortion on new records than old and his voice disappearance is pretty obvios. Emotion and feeling is in the actually music.

This is definintely a unique and good bodom album. But im sick of people calling it the best and complaining about how much they've sold out. thats some bs. The vocals are too distorted and this album is so technical its overkill. When dragonforce releases albums that are fast, people call them soulless and fakers, but bodom gets a huge thumbs up from all the underground metal douches.

I've always thought of early Bodom (first 3 albums) as like neoclassical melodic death metal with power metal influences. Hate Crew Deathroll onwards became more thrash influenced and less neoclassical unfortunately
