  • Hah! Gotta love the spray paint dripping on the eyes!

  • glad the real thing was shown off camera

  • Nice a kid at school was using the sanding planer and his board shot across our shop. Luckily missing everyone except a lathe.

  • Nice- U R a dumbass-who pulls material backwards during a rip operation? Hope you learned your lesson and keep pressure (and your fingers) on the material until your cut is complete- and learn not to cut material shorter than 8" on the fence-Newbie!

  • I'd vote for a guard, splitter, push sticks/blocks and feather boards.

Kickback doesn't just fire the piece around, it can cause your hands to hit the blade too.

Better just not run the risk at all - you'd have little chance of holding kickback like that down.

I have no clue why anyone would run a saw without the above safety features. It's just asking for trouble.

I know most American woodworkers feel like less of a man if they have a guard and the rest on their saw but it's stupid not to.

  • nice re-creation. i did that once and it left a large dent in the overhead door. told the boss it wasnt me :)
