Here are a few pointers:

Plumbbobtoggle

(this gets rid of the annoying green thign above their heads)

Showheadlines off

(This gets rid of headlines)

Motivedecay off

(I just find this handy because I don't have to tend to their motives every 5 mins)

There's heaps more out there such as "allmenus on", which enables menus you wouldn't normally get such as playing with the fridge. You should try and do some more research first tho =)
