  • HEY thanks U tube for putting this in my sub box 2 FREAKIN years later. OK not really but it feels like it.

OMG I love the hand written notes in the first book. I don't think roaches eat paper, I also didn't think you all had roaches. OHH make the Carmel refrigerator cooky's (Ha spell check doesn't like that spelling of cooky) they sound good. Seeded raisins are really big raisins and they have a big seed, you wouldn't miss it,I haven't seen them in YEARS.

UHHOHH long comment! Cont. in Part 2

  • @Ultimatecruegirl Part 2

Seems like a lot of the older recipes had coffee in them.

My neighbor makes chocolate jumbles all the time, to much molasses for me but I bet I would like cinnamon ones better. I like cinnamon can't get to much of that. Yes I like pictures with the recipe.

OMG ShUt UP with the boys & girls cook book you are killing me, I LOVE it! It was even made the year I was born, I think I just shat a brick with happiness.

OK I have to go or it will be another 3 parter. TFS!

  • @Ultimatecruegirl OK I couldn't resist.

Must have #1 fire extinguisher #2 Every gadget known to man... yes that about covers it.

Hey at least I kept this one short!

  • @Ultimatecruegirl LOL @ all of the comments!!! I will make a note to go back and do the carmel refrigerator cookys. Scott loves Caramel.

  • How did the word "grater" become fester?

    More autocorrect fuckuppery !

  • Omg I want everything too. Every gadget and then every version if the gadget. I have a garlic cooker, a garlic slicer and 3 garlic presses. Each press gives a different size bit. I've lost count of festers and slicers I have 5 whisks of various sizes at least 5 different spatulas for burgers or pancakes. 10 different cooking spoons of every material known to man and I have the nerve to hit the thrift stores looking for "unique" utensils. Is there a Gadgets Anonymous? I need a 12 step progra

  • i've got a helpful tip. for the sticker tags on paper or boxes. take ur blow drier, set ur drier set it on high. warm the tag real warm. start try to pry on the corner. you'll be able to tell when it comes loose. it will pull off and not leave any marks.

  • Roaches love glue, so if there is glue on the paper they will; be there.

Very interested Cooky Book. I am very visual, especially with food :))

I took a cooking class when I was a kid and I loved it and then in Junior High Home Economics. I loved the class when I was younger, it was fun.

LOL, I feel like I must have everything too.

  • My sister can burp the longest and loudest of any human I have ever known.... So glad she doesnt watch videos she woukd kill me right about now...LOL!!!

  • I was thinking that recipe that called for seeded raisins was back when there were no seedless grapes yet...did a little math I took it that it was a HS graduation that the lady was making stuff for if still living woukd be aroud lets say 80 give or take a couple years if she had said child at 20..

  • : )

  • Cool cook books! I also love pictures of the dishes so you can see what they look like! Sometimes they sound kind of good but look God awful! LOL. I am a gadget freak and want it all too! :))

  • GOOOD ONE!!!

Roaches will eat anything, they will still be here long after we are gone!

    I MUST have everything too!

  • lol the artists renderings... i bet the kids were as fictional as betty

  • @snarkdetriomphe I thought the same thing too--they were probably fake kids .. or pics of random employee's kids.. and their test kitchen was a bunch of fat middle aged women named Beth doing the cooking and baking lol

  • looooooooooove boys and girls cookbook

  • it is really strange they spell it cooky... oh but with all the old-time recipes, maybe thats how cookie was once spelled... you know, in the olde days

  • @snarkdetriomphe laughe oute loude!

  • my grandmother was the best hermit maker the universe has ever known. hers was a secret recipe - they came out chewy, moist and insanely delicious.

  • ewwww roach/silverfish eaten books. yuk. i tried searching lorene/laurene/laureen/loreen tonaki but nothing. she must have gotten married before she became searchable online hehehe

  • @snarkdetriomphe Laureen Tonaki-Coumas was the first fee owner of a home located at 95-51 Kuahelani Avenue #143. Her single sister is the third fee owner. No record of where Laureen is located at now. However, her father, Edward Minoru Tonaki, passed away four years ago. I bet Laureen is about 5-6 years older than I am at this point. I will see if she facebooks ;)

  • i'm enjoying cherry coke zero lately.

  • What were you drinking? Yuck to the eating of the edges. Yes, a roach will eat the glue in book bindings AND if they are starving, they will eat paper, but they prefer organic food stuffs. Yes, pictures are good. I was given The Joy of Cooking in 1974, no pictures except hand drawn. I need pictures. I am also fussy about chapstick too. I have a small collection (not as large as yours). Many, I hate. Cookbooks. Your enthusiasm is catching. I must have everything, too. - roc

  • @popparoc46 I was drinking Coke Zero. It is SO refreshing, but it makes me burp a LOT! so they have lots of carbonation in it.

  • You don't think that the paper edges were made rough like that originally? I've seen books that came like that new.

Love cookbooks with photos of EVERY recipe, those get me every time. I like to see what they look like

  • @yoyomax12 I don't think so..it looks really funky. I've seen those kinds of books too. Not sure this was purposely done

  • Oh Bethie excuse you lol. Yicky yucky I d skipped that one. Love raisins and oatmeal even more. I want pictures visual too. That's why I love the pasta bible I sent you your sis has all the pictures (I know I am a freak). Off for the next vid of yours ;).

  • I am a germaphobe how would you disinfect something like a book that roaches have been in? Just curious

  • Roaches will eat paper if food was on it.

  • @timido66 OMG I googled it and ...They also eat paper if it has glue on it

I guess that is why they mostly attacked the front and back pages, the glue.

  • I think that the first cookbook that I bought was the Betty Crocker one (red hardcover), I didn't know they had so many different kinds. I should go through the cookbooks that I have, who am I kidding, don't cook too much any more. Form .99c to 2.99 is a big increase in price, but I guess they are still a great deal especially if they are 1/2 off at times.

  • That is one loud burp. =) mega burp heard around the world. lol =)
