Big difference when comparing the old and the new museum. By the way, I have uploaded several parts of the new museum. There's so much you can't use in just one video, haha. So whenever you are again in Zuffenhausen then you also need to bring some money for the museum (8 Euro fee to get in plus I think 2 Euro for the parking). The Mercedes-Benz Museum at the other end of Stuttgart with lots more cars costs the same ;o)
Visited that factory museum in 1985. Don't expect to see any of their cars being made. You will be restricted to a small enclosed area with static vehicles. The Mercedes museum is much better. There were some very attractive smartly dressed girls there too who spoke impeccable English handing out radio phones. But that was 85. I don't know about now.
I was there in about 84. I remember the hood on one of the race cars was not pinned down all the way. They must have been working on it. I climbed under the ropes to try to fix it. What a dumb thing to do. Security descended on me like the gestapo, and an alarm went off! We almost got thrown out, but I meant well.
In my dreams... I was a 17 year old American kid at the time, but my dad did tell me he didn't understand why they wouldn't let me fill out a job aplication.
First things first, can you communicate in German?
According to personnel you cannot be considered for employment by Porsche unless you are conversant in German (details can be found at their website for graduate recruitment). If you are perhaps give them a try. If not....
yes, it is really really small, but there are so many beauties there... whole porsche history in such a small place. i was there 3 years ago and must go to the new Porsche museum (mid 2007). There were also some vintage cars in Porsche showroom near Porsche Platz. This showroom was really quite something in typical Porsche style - cold and modern, really beutiful. Their cars are about design and engineering and i love them.
Oh yes, it is really a small museum, hope the new museum will be a lot bigger as there are missing so many other beautiful porsches. Your video is aweseome with your moving picture. Next time I also have to go there with my camcorder but I'll wait for the new museum ;o)
Nice, I've seen many of those cars in person at vintage races. Cars like the 917's and the 935 "Moby Dick" are kinda scary to see in person, especially when you realize how lightly built they are.
Great to see they had a 944 Turbo there instead of only the typical 911 fare etc.

Not at all! To reward your enthusiasm, they should have juiced it up and allowed you to take it out for spin. A pity it wasn't the 917K

Used to be able to. It was my first language. No big deal. I have no intentions of going there and working there. Thanks.
