Funny I was actually just watching this video for a new character I'm creating for an Anime. I wanted him to have 50 kilotons of tnt stored in him, but I wasn't sure how strong that was. lol now I know.
@worldslayer said the hiroshima bomb 'little boy' had a nuclear yield of 12-15 megatons that is incorrect it was 15 kilotons,i know that this is 500 tons of tnt, or 1 million pounds of explosives
@worldslayer cough kilotons cough lol jk jk but seriously its actually kilotons because 15 megatons was the sise of the nuclear bomb castle bravo look that up it definetley aint small oh and 14 kilotons it was i always get mixed up if it inbetween those two numbers also
@worldslayer actualy that was 12-15 KILOtons atom bombs arnt made big enough for megatons (or at least not in WW2) HYDROGYN bombs are what make up most megaton sized bombs
its 1 million pounds of TNT. tnt is conventional explosives, known 2 be used in DYNAMITE. its not a nuke, cuz if it was, and those ships were that close, they would be vaporized in about... 1/100th of a second
i know the difference between nukes and tnt. i said "nuke" because he said they were using it to gauge the force of a .5kt nuke...i didn't mean it WAS a nuke.
attention maxthue, since you clearly weren't listening when you watched this video, this test was done with only half a kiloton of explosives, and used TNT (trinitrotoluene), not dynamite. There is a huge difference between these two types of explosives.
He's intolerant of other people's cultures and ethnicities. Specifically the highly stereotyped American citizen. By fag, as highly used as the derogatory term for "Stupid" or "Retard" used for a general insult for people you dislike. Not particularly a homosexual. I cannot assume whether either of us are better or more intelligent.
lol is this a game to you? i know fag is used for stupid etc, but how does that justify its use? its like here in europe, "American" is used in general describing someone being stupid etc., although it knowingly may not be someone who resides in america. it's the same thing, really.
Just looked it up, you're right, I stand corrected. I was just confused about that because the -ol makes it sound as if there's a hydroxyl group attached, which there is not.
i will do that in my city, i will be famous

@bpeterdude316 15 kilotons = 15000 tons, not 500 yes i know that, the explosion in this video was 500 tons, Hiroshima was 15000 tons of explosives
bpeterdude316 1 year ago
thats not even close to being as powerful as a nuke.
the hiroshima bomb 'little boy' had a nuclear yield of 12-15 megatons. and little boy was the weakest of atom bombs

@worldslayer
There were a few really weak nukes, in the 1-kiloton range, but I don't know of any weaker than the test in this video.

i dont see the point in that test...who would use a .5kt nuke? the smallest anyone would ever use would probably be 15kt O.o

"i dont see the point in that test...who would use a .5kt nuke?"
It's not a nuke and they're testing the effects of shockwaves.
soylentgreenb 2 years ago
For Tactical Reasons. And the test was conducted to see the effects of a sub kiloton nuclear explosion on ships and other various materials.
