  • Good on Dr J J C Bradfield for designing the City Railway tunnels to mainline railway dimensions. Try doing this with the London Underground....

  • the level of spelling accuracy in comments on this video equates quite closely to the level of knowledge on display, e.g. NSW 85 and 86 class are not diesels, "deisel"s or anything like that ...

zacharyramone please take your medication before posting anywhere again.

  • ventelation?

  • toooo bad shitty shit rail destroyed the 85s and shit and fucking railcorp wont let the remaining ones run cause of fucking electriscity costs we will never see steam through there again unless they wanna smog up the tunnels with deisel as well as steam

  • Will you ever bring the other Stories of Steam from the video to DVD Beaven because we would love to see some of your earlier work like this one.

  • Your all wrong! This was 1992, and ELECTRIC loco 8510 was still in regular service then. 8510 has been requested by the RTM for the required assitance.

There is no way in hell that a steam loco was going to be allowed through the underground on its own! Note: 8510 is an 85 class. It was "original" at this time, and is probably scrap metal by now. :-( (2008)

Back in 2007, 3801 and 3016 did not work together and run trips on the North Shore line from Central across the SHB to Lavender Bay.

  • It's kind of werid that the SRA let a Heritage diesel hauling a 59 Class steam locomotive 5910 at an underground station. But good film work you got thier bwDVD.

  • Spooktacular :) Love it.

  • thats hardly 5910 and an 86 class though is it?

  • Hardly? I think 3801 and 3016 will be a far more impressive sight. But that's my personal opinion.

  • #801 & 3016 will be runing via Strathfield and not over the bridge.

  • what a shame :-( jedsute is right then, something we'll never see again.

  • theres something we'll never see again. top video!

  • Actually we will see that again on Sunday, March 18 2007. Steam locomotives 3801 and 3016 will be running shuttles from Central Station across the Bridge to the North Shore and Lavender Bay.

  • there's been XPTs as well. its rare.
