do you think they never made it as they never bowed down to comerial pressure? InMe are awsome and deserve to be talked in the same breath as other greats and i do frequently
Aaah I used to love these guys so much. Right now I'm not really sure why I stopped. This lot were hugely underrated. I haven't listened to anything post white butterfly but the first 2 albums were awesome. Daves Voice is EPIC.
InMe were the first band i ever saw live, when i was 13 and overgrown eden had just come out. They almost hit the big time with White Butterfly, even had the dvd out n stuff, then all the so called fans didnt really wona know any more, WTF!!! stopped going to shows and the last 2 albums did not do as well as they fukin should, lets get them the support they deserve and go out and buy the newest album Herald Moth, get them back on the festival circuit and show some real support! a true InMe fan x
@MitchRench I completely agree with you....I have all their albums and they were the first ever band I saw live also....If people gave them the respect they deserve they would be huge, instead there 'fans' failed them, and only few loyal fans survive...! Lets work towards bringing the beautiful InMe BACK!!
When i was 13 i had two blonde bits put in the front of my hair cos dave did haha im 21 now and the thought i had two massive blonde bits in my hair makes me cringe lmao excellent band x
been to see these live at corporation sheffield..fucking awsome, his voice live is even better that on the cds - yes that IS possible!!! i was right at the front, could smell the sweat and guitar metal..hmmm!!
omg... That begining guitar riff should be written with 'R' 'cuz it's Awesome... and his voice is great too.. (he looks too young to have voice like this but who cares.. it's cool)
@victimoflife honestly i think that most of the new songs are a million times the quality of those songs. dont get me wrong, i love overgrown eden, but inme sound complete now. they are as good now, and hella better than white butterfly :P
@MrTGar There's nothing wrong, that's just your opinion. InMe have developed their music into something that , in MY opinion,is brilliant. If a band just kept playing the same music all the time they might as well not exist any more. It does no harm to test the waters. :)
Why does everyone think that a band has to evolve its sound constantly to be worthwhile?! Surely if a band does something well, there's nothing wrong for them to continue doing that for their career. Afterall, someone likes a band for their sound, why change it?
I don't think there's anything wrong with staying the same if they're at their best (that is if they, the band, think they're at their best and are happy), but if a bands been around for like 10 years and are still producing basically identical songs, what's the point? Once you hear it you'd realise it sounds pretty much the same as an older on.
It doesn't have to be a constant evolution but changing does help. If a band are truly in it for the music, than success shouldn't matter. :)
@TheModCon that doesnt work in music mate. its fickle, if you dont evolve then you get spat out. they tried not to evolve (whilst hoe was still on bass) and it got them fucked by noone wanting them (record company wise). they have become mightier!!
@TheModCon a very common example of the evolution of a band and it's sound is clearly in one band...silverchair, look the first 3 albums rocks! diorama was a somewhat progressive rock album but still rocks but they came with a thing like young modern COME ON MAN! inme i think that in my opinion white butterfly is my least favorite album but is still a great album...
@mattchew666 That's my point really, why change because everyone else wants you to do something different? If you want to, go for it. But I'm sick of hearing people putting pressure on a band because they write in one genre for two albums.
OMG the best bands ever are all from britain ..led zepp..the who..black sabbath..motorhead..the beatles..joy divison..blur..inme..the zico chain..detroit social club..nine black alps ..eric clapton..damien rice..the subways..i can go on and on lol..british music rocks ..thou my fave band ever are nirvana lol and jimi hendrix was the best guitarist ever i think and ther from the usa lol
absolute perfection in music and lyrics. these are great band. by the way sesquiwhatevertherestsays look at the size of america in all fairness the place is fuckin gigantic look at britain, scoland, wales and ireland. one state in u.s. is bigger. the ratio is turned in the isles favour. just better musicians over here.

Of course England's got its fair share of awesome bands, but most of them are from Manchester (e.g. the Stone Roses), not Essex (e.g. InMe).
Unfortunately, they don't get much radio play; if however, you beat your girlfriend (cough, Chris Brown, cough) you'll get invited to do interviews with Larry King and Good Morning America, and you'll still be publicized.
Sure it's good if you like standard rock songs. I like the album.. But Daydream Annonymous and Herald Moth are so technical in the guitar work, it's just brilliant... Thats why i like it..

he has a medical problem that made him lose all his hair, its funny how people talk shit when they obviously have no clue what they are talking about......InMe rules
yh i totally agree with you ive got the same problem with my fast metabolism, im really skinny but eat loads and at school people take the piss and tell me to eat.... oh i forgot... InMe RULES!!!!!!! most underrated band in the world!!!!!
I've met these :) bak in the day wen they had onli realesed overgrown eden. was after a gig they did in leicester at 'The Charlotte' lol im tryin 2 find the song 'Web' on here but cnt find it can any1 send me a link?
shut the f**k up you loosers....at the end of the day they are young guys who are inspired by all the music they listen, new and old! and have written songs that mean something to them in a style that they like...simple as that! also i dont see you doing much better, get over it!!
the irony of the song is not lost on me.....actually the song isn't a prime example of all that sucks with rock these days...i would apologize to these guys if i could.....but my point does stand
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You music sucks dude.....i know it, generations older than me knows it, deep down and inside even you know it.....and if it doesnt, then how come you feel compelled to mention bands that are at least 10 to 40 years old....thats pathetic dude, your romancing something that's not really real anymore, and genres are just a name, what's in a name dude? nothin
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
these messages are posted earliest towards the bottom...i posted that message first...and besides i have nothing better to do.....and you didnt win, every generation wants to usurp the previous one....marketing executives will tell every subsequent generation from here on out that they are the most unique and greatest generation ever, even though it's all just bullshit
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
......rock is n attitude, a spirit, not some formulaic composition practiced by generations and perfected into one stale sterile pop garbage like this.....it's a attitude of rebellion and crossing social lines to enhance each own generation with it's own tangible manifestation of their identity.....it's a blank canvas, and rock nd roll is that spirit that inspires and translates into whatever you portray, because ultimately it must be your own, and therefore unique and new...that is rock...
This song hit the top and blew millions away. Its pop for a reason because it was seen as music and something to be idolised. Its a song that when I hear it brings me back to a point in my life that not alot of other songs do. This is MY attitude and MY spirit. Its true to me so you can think what you want. I think you just want a band to be unique to you. Unknown and untouched by the world so you can say "i'm special nobody else listens to this stuff bit me" its a little pathetic
"it's pop because it's something to be idolised"....lol....the internet...where any know-nothing dipshit thinks he's an authority on anything......yeah, aqua's "barbie girl" was pop too....surely that must be idolised(sic)....lol
I dont like Aqua's Barbie girl however I can respect it was loved by millions. I cant see the fascination because its something I wouldnt listen to. This however is my cup of tea and I can see why it was a popular song. Ive listened to tons of rock music from unsigned bands to not so known bands. I can see why this song stood out from them all.
see the thing is bands dont want to play to YOU and only YOU no matter what band you think is unique to you. they want to sell out big stadiums just as bad as the big bands out there
Yeah, i get what your saying. But it's not always about selling out stadiums and shit. Some bands may do it for money and shit, some do it for meaning. They also target age groups aswell.
Yeh totally its about having fun aswell I get that. Nobody would do it if it wasnt fun. But deep down everyone would rather millions love them for what they do than a few. This guy ive replied says this isnt rock because its sold millions and is "pop". But I guarantee if this was an unknown band and he went to see them live his opinion would be totally different. We all start somewhere
Yeah, his opinion would be different, your true about that. In my opinion i'd say it's Rock/Alternative. That's my opinion though. But i don't really care what genre they are, they are a good band.
and i'm only saying these things cause (A.)it's true (B.) you need to move NOW in ANY direction to save rock, you cant afford to "borrow" or "steal" or rip-off anything from any other time period. Rock cant compete with the fun or fire-power of techno, the popularity and marketing of hiphop, or the innocence and grit of country...right now it's the weakest link...it's almost like people listen to it because they think they supposed to or something, liking rooting for the hometeam, that cant last
Did you ever stop and think that, A genre Is Defined By What it entails, And if you move away from the Norm of that Genre it is no longer so, and beomces a total different Genre all together?
you HAVE to Copy and steal from previous generations if you want to be a Rock band, otherwise, you wont be a rock band anymore. You'll be something completely different.
As to your remarks about Hip-hop, Techno and Country, What you say is all down to opinion.
awful 90's ripoff....find your own sound you copycat generation......nothing will be remembered about you cause nothing yall ever did was really your own
Every generation steals from the previous one...there hasn't been any truly unique music for about 30 years now. The music you listened to growing up and considered unique and new was simply remastering music that had already been made.
You may not like a band, but there's no need for stupid comments like that.
bullshit. that's a cop out. ever heard chad kroger of "creed"? his voice tone was a facsimile of eddie vetter of "pearl jam"ok,..it can happen, no problems there! but all of a sudden ALL lead singers had to sound like kroger, because in their hive mind mentality that was what rock was supposed to sound like......now it seems there's only 3 rock singers....the whiney insipid "green day" safe pussy punk, the screaming hellion of metal, and the aforementioned Kroger clones.
You do know that Chad Kroeger is the Lead singer of Nickelback....
And to Back up Vvalleycat,
Pantera, an iconic Metal Band, Took Influence from Metallica, and Glamour Rock band 'Kiss', And i can bet you anyhitng Kiss and Metalica took inspiraiton from Bands Predecessing Them.
vvalleycat is right, all generations steal from the previous ones, they just take what they like to listen to and change it that little bit to make it sound different.
think what you want.......watch the Frontline documentary "the merchants of cool" on youtube in it's entirety.....6 or 7 parts.....I'm right, and i have no interest in debating this any longer. We should call you the Pinocchio Generation, only you little corporate automatons will never become real.
and after you get done watching "the merchants of cool" go ahead and check out the vid entittled "the rebel sell" and then check back with me hotshot......the point is its a feedback loop if you dont do your own exploration, and the level of "stealing" you two say every generation does may be minimally true in other generations, but outright grotesque and laughable in yours. ...explain disco of the 70's and the janis joplin and the doors of the 60's...either i'm right or rock is dead. you decide
your comment lacks crediblity and fails with simple logic......so accordint to you the rock and roll of the 50's and 60's came from the "big band" sound of the 40's?......no sir, i aint buying it...no more excuses....
Furthermore, how the fuck does some 18 year old kid become an authority of the music of the last 30 years?....geez....what the hell is wrong with me for even argueing with these dipshits
I was simply trying to raise a valid point, and I happen to listen to music that was produced long before I was born. All music and artists are influenced by their predecessors, it's part of the natural evolution of music.
You may not agree with me and that's fine, but don't stoop so low as to start name calling, it doesn't make you look big or clever.
couple of things, they are and never where classed as fucking Grunge, its Alt rock. Overgrown eden was just a RAW album which was there best one, proff being in there record sales. w/b....there second album was just as good, they had more time and money to record it, so obvoisly its going to sound like more of a "studio" album. as for Daydream Annoymous its just as good as w/b, if not bettter. also dave hasn't got better.....he was always fucking talented. anyway, fucking good band, and song.
I didnt know Lene marlin fronted a rock band haha.

@GraZmus, I'm not arguing the fact that Daydream and Moth are technically better, but I don't think the song quality is as good as Overgrown Eden.
There aren't many bands, at the age they were when they wrote it, that could of accomplished something so raw whilst still having their own sound.
Bottom line...InMe are awesome.....shame about the line up though.

man this song is immense. takes me back a few years
barty417 2 years ago
shut the f**k up you loosers....at the end of the day they are young guys who are inspired by all the music they listen, new and old! and have written songs that mean something to them in a style that they like...simple as that! also i dont see you doing much better, get over it!!
dhpro1 2 years ago
the irony of the song is not lost on me.....actually the song isn't a prime example of all that sucks with rock these days...i would apologize to these guys if i could.....but my point does stand
jjames9826 2 years ago
innovation and cool riffs is what's wrong with rock?

You music sucks dude.....i know it, generations older than me knows it, deep down and inside even you know it.....and if it doesnt, then how come you feel compelled to mention bands that are at least 10 to 40 years old....thats pathetic dude, your romancing something that's not really real anymore, and genres are just a name, what's in a name dude? nothin
jjames9826 2 years ago

these messages are posted earliest towards the bottom...i posted that message first...and besides i have nothing better to do.....and you didnt win, every generation wants to usurp the previous one....marketing executives will tell every subsequent generation from here on out that they are the most unique and greatest generation ever, even though it's all just bullshit
jjames9826 2 years ago

......rock is n attitude, a spirit, not some formulaic composition practiced by generations and perfected into one stale sterile pop garbage like this.....it's a attitude of rebellion and crossing social lines to enhance each own generation with it's own tangible manifestation of their identity.....it's a blank canvas, and rock nd roll is that spirit that inspires and translates into whatever you portray, because ultimately it must be your own, and therefore unique and new...that is rock...
jjames9826 2 years ago
This song hit the top and blew millions away. Its pop for a reason because it was seen as music and something to be idolised. Its a song that when I hear it brings me back to a point in my life that not alot of other songs do. This is MY attitude and MY spirit. Its true to me so you can think what you want. I think you just want a band to be unique to you. Unknown and untouched by the world so you can say "i'm special nobody else listens to this stuff bit me" its a little pathetic
sl3ptsolong 2 years ago
"it's pop because it's something to be idolised"....lol....the internet...where any know-nothing dipshit thinks he's an authority on anything......yeah, aqua's "barbie girl" was pop too....surely that must be idolised(sic)....lol
jjames9826 2 years ago
I dont like Aqua's Barbie girl however I can respect it was loved by millions. I cant see the fascination because its something I wouldnt listen to. This however is my cup of tea and I can see why it was a popular song. Ive listened to tons of rock music from unsigned bands to not so known bands. I can see why this song stood out from them all.
sl3ptsolong 2 years ago
Nah man, it ain't pathetic. You absolutely right. We all do want bands that are unique to us, more or less, songs that are unique to us.
R32SkylineProduction 2 years ago
see the thing is bands dont want to play to YOU and only YOU no matter what band you think is unique to you. they want to sell out big stadiums just as bad as the big bands out there
sl3ptsolong 2 years ago 2
Yeah, i get what your saying. But it's not always about selling out stadiums and shit. Some bands may do it for money and shit, some do it for meaning. They also target age groups aswell.
R32SkylineProduction 2 years ago 2
Yeh totally its about having fun aswell I get that. Nobody would do it if it wasnt fun. But deep down everyone would rather millions love them for what they do than a few. This guy ive replied says this isnt rock because its sold millions and is "pop". But I guarantee if this was an unknown band and he went to see them live his opinion would be totally different. We all start somewhere
sl3ptsolong 2 years ago
Yeah, his opinion would be different, your true about that. In my opinion i'd say it's Rock/Alternative. That's my opinion though. But i don't really care what genre they are, they are a good band.
R32SkylineProduction 2 years ago
and i'm only saying these things cause (A.)it's true (B.) you need to move NOW in ANY direction to save rock, you cant afford to "borrow" or "steal" or rip-off anything from any other time period. Rock cant compete with the fun or fire-power of techno, the popularity and marketing of hiphop, or the innocence and grit of country...right now it's the weakest link...it's almost like people listen to it because they think they supposed to or something, liking rooting for the hometeam, that cant last
jjames9826 2 years ago
Did you ever stop and think that, A genre Is Defined By What it entails, And if you move away from the Norm of that Genre it is no longer so, and beomces a total different Genre all together?
you HAVE to Copy and steal from previous generations if you want to be a Rock band, otherwise, you wont be a rock band anymore. You'll be something completely different.
As to your remarks about Hip-hop, Techno and Country, What you say is all down to opinion.
Thunderfox593 2 years ago
And, as seen as you have no interest in debating this further, and i got in the last word, i win. :)
And ifyou rpely to this, then you lied about having no interest in debaitng it further and it does actually matter to you.
So.
Let it go and ignore the 15 year old who proved you wrong.
Or carry on and show your patheticness to debate with a 15 year old.
The fact i'm carrying on makes me pathetic, i know, but guess what, i don't care :)
Lets see if you do.
Thunderfox593 2 years ago
awful 90's ripoff....find your own sound you copycat generation......nothing will be remembered about you cause nothing yall ever did was really your own
jjames9826 2 years ago
Every generation steals from the previous one...there hasn't been any truly unique music for about 30 years now. The music you listened to growing up and considered unique and new was simply remastering music that had already been made.
You may not like a band, but there's no need for stupid comments like that.
vvalleycat 2 years ago
bullshit. that's a cop out. ever heard chad kroger of "creed"? his voice tone was a facsimile of eddie vetter of "pearl jam"ok,..it can happen, no problems there! but all of a sudden ALL lead singers had to sound like kroger, because in their hive mind mentality that was what rock was supposed to sound like......now it seems there's only 3 rock singers....the whiney insipid "green day" safe pussy punk, the screaming hellion of metal, and the aforementioned Kroger clones.
jjames9826 2 years ago
You do know that Chad Kroeger is the Lead singer of Nickelback....
And to Back up Vvalleycat,
Pantera, an iconic Metal Band, Took Influence from Metallica, and Glamour Rock band 'Kiss', And i can bet you anyhitng Kiss and Metalica took inspiraiton from Bands Predecessing Them.
vvalleycat is right, all generations steal from the previous ones, they just take what they like to listen to and change it that little bit to make it sound different.
Thunderfox593 2 years ago
think what you want.......watch the Frontline documentary "the merchants of cool" on youtube in it's entirety.....6 or 7 parts.....I'm right, and i have no interest in debating this any longer. We should call you the Pinocchio Generation, only you little corporate automatons will never become real.
jjames9826 2 years ago
and after you get done watching "the merchants of cool" go ahead and check out the vid entittled "the rebel sell" and then check back with me hotshot......the point is its a feedback loop if you dont do your own exploration, and the level of "stealing" you two say every generation does may be minimally true in other generations, but outright grotesque and laughable in yours. ...explain disco of the 70's and the janis joplin and the doors of the 60's...either i'm right or rock is dead. you decide
jjames9826 2 years ago
your comment lacks crediblity and fails with simple logic......so accordint to you the rock and roll of the 50's and 60's came from the "big band" sound of the 40's?......no sir, i aint buying it...no more excuses....
jjames9826 2 years ago
Furthermore, how the fuck does some 18 year old kid become an authority of the music of the last 30 years?....geez....what the hell is wrong with me for even argueing with these dipshits
jjames9826 2 years ago
I was simply trying to raise a valid point, and I happen to listen to music that was produced long before I was born. All music and artists are influenced by their predecessors, it's part of the natural evolution of music.
You may not agree with me and that's fine, but don't stoop so low as to start name calling, it doesn't make you look big or clever.

All their albums are epic and this song has got to be one of their best, Love it. Infact love it soo much, I got my band to do a cover of it :)
All hail InMe..
JoelMaiden666 3 years ago
couple of things, they are and never where classed as fucking Grunge, its Alt rock.
