  • Trying to reinvent the wheel, looks like to me.......

  • This is a Laporte Saddle tree. These trees are tougher than hell, able to withstand a cowboys use and abuse, modernly designed by Mark Howes - Double H saddle shop. Riggin is adjustable! ride full,7/8, or buckshot. Wood is good, but I use these trees - colts to roping bulls. Mark commonly ropes with and 80ft reata, hell of a cowboy, buckaroo, and nice guy. Currently made in Nunn, CO, by Shawn Howes. - I agree that this lady has never made a saddle.

  • Apparently she has never actually made a saddle. The rigging does NOT pull down from the center like a belt. She is pointing to where the stirrups hang. As lostbuckaro1 said the normal rigging also connects around the tree.

  • I;m not sure where you get your info from. But cable rigging has been around for many years and the normal rigging placement on a saddle is the same as your cable rigging. It get fastened to the bars in front and it runs down and to the back just below the cantle.

  • Cowboys have rode wood and rawhide trees for 200 plus years, seems to have worked out for them ! Wood and Rawhide Forever !!!!
