This is not even close to a full size SUV. Its 188 inches long, and doesn't weigh more than 2 tons.

Also, RWD is far more expensive (and intrusive into the cabin) than FWD.

They haven't offered a V8 Highlander ever. They did on the 4Runner recently, though that engine has been nixed.

While I do think that a car like this shouldn't have a V8 diluting the line, the cheapest ideal towing vehicle Toyota makes is now the (outdated) GX470. I guess most towers go American.
