  • I got a quick question, Where did you get this model, online, at a store, because I really want this.

  • I thouhpt it's a screamer.

  • OMG LAND! We're saved! We... *ploop*

  • Was anyone inside the ship when you did that??? Because it's not legal to put people inside your ship and then sink it, at least without telling them in advance.

  • @ignatei its a 30 inch model titanic lol

  • how did yuh recover the boat

  • @JustMeTobi Watch our "Raising the (Model) Titanic" video (see our channel page).

  • You should try one with the model sinking at the ocean.

  • @drawingdude267 The ocean is much too rough for this model. It's not *that* sturdy. :) But we are planning a sinking to scale depth (about 35 feet deep) with on-board video in the next few weeks.

  • where do you get that model

  • It sunk in exactly 20 seconds

  • i keep seeing thses titnaic skinking videos.... Why dont you first create a working model of the titanic, Then put a big gash in the side and it sinks that way :D

  • @BlueDragon4484 There is a gash (or pattern of small iceberg damage) in the side - see our newer videos for more detail. We're not planning on motorizing the Titanic models we have this year, though.

  • where dou get those models?

  • "But this ship can't sink"

    *Sinks*

  • HOW IN THE HECK YOU GET IT UP

  • @Titanicraisers He had a fishing line, isn't that obvious?

  • did u have to make the water-tight compartments? or did they come with the kit?

  • WHOSE UNSINNKABLE NOW, BITCH?!?!

lol :D i think its sad that humans are so arrogant with their own creations.

  • How do you get the models back?

  • your videos are the best model titanic recration sinkings ive3 ever seen on you tube!!

  • @airboy1997

He probaly had a string tied to the boat

  • did u get it bak?

  • @airboy1997 he did he had a fishing line attached to the bow of the ship it thin you cant really see it

  • that was pretty cool, it stayed afloat for a few seconds just before being completely submerged and had the same affect as the sinking in the movie Titanic

  • @historyfan1000 Nope. It's pretty sturdy.

  • @Rapidnadion its supposed to snap in half O_o

(just undo the bottom lock) or at least my model...

  • @smeagle9999 As I noted in the comment on the other video, this is not that model. You can see it even better in this video, as the level of detail on this one (the Academy Minicraft display model) is much higher than the one you refer to. That said, the one you're talking about is very rare, and very cool. My model sinks because I custom-built compartments and bulkheads within.

  • @Rapidnadion yeh i have that same model its in a moderate condition it needs a few repairs but i bet it is better then smeagles lol i protect it alot becuz its rare

  • @Rapidnadion how'd you get it to float in the first place

  • @smeagle9999 i have that one mine is the oldest one in moderate condition right now people are begging me to sell it but im not going to lol

  • @RobloxTitanicMovie you dont say..... its funny- in the last month I have found that 3-5 of my old toys are "rare" and valuable..... although i took good care of them I'm not sure they are collector worthy -_-

  • @historyfan1000 Yep - there's a (too-long) rough cut of this model going down from various angles that I uploaded to Google Video a long time ago. "Model Titanic Sinks 2" also uses this model - it's a better video, as well.

  • @Rapidnadion better if it broke it half

  • i think that james cameron used the same way to film the ship :D

  • @Lusitaniac Cameron had much better models. :)

  • @Rapidnadion Cameron actually made a ship out of scaffhold, then he put scene panels up, and sunk it....

  • jack nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey how deep was the water? and how did u get it back out?

  • @MonsterJam2010 Fishing line tied to the bow allowed me to pull it right back to the surface. The water was about 4-6 feet deep.

  • You can do a little better

    4/5

  • It seems a shame though that such a good model of the ship has been water damaged i would atleast buy two one for sinking purposes and one for display. Does anyone know where you can get a really good and big model of Titanic??

  • @CHRISTINKER86 This was my fourth Titanic model. I did build one of them exclusively for display.

  • he hit an iceberg dude.

  • Never say Never about something! It could always happen!

  • whoa, i didn't know there was actual footage of the titanic sinking 0_0

  • where did you get that?

  • the unsinkable just sank

  • this one was more realistic, dind sink in a split second :)

  • u started the cam a little late we ddint even get to see the bow of the ship from when it was fully straight to when it sunk.

  • You should put some small light weight waterproof cameras inside it or on the decks

  • great... and how do you want to get them out of the water??^^

  • @Epistocracy Fishing line tied to the bow.

  • dude, where the heck did you get the titanic model?

  • where did u get this

  • What kind of camera only takes 15Sec of footage

  • umm that would be my GF's cell phone =P

  • Hehe LOL :)

  • Jack: "Hold on, Rose, don't let go of my hand"

"Take a deep breath when I tell you"

    Rose: (gasping)

    LOL

  • that is the most realistic sinking model I've seen on youtube.

  • this is realy well done .

  • LOL. Soon you´ll be able to find 1000´s of titanics all over the worl!! I think ima go build me own damn Titanic 1-1 size and sink it! Just for the fun:D

  • nice model.

    did ya get it back?

  • he has a string on it so he can pull it back

  • something is saying me it's a fishing line to the ship

  • yea to get it out of the water after.

    duh

  • did you get it back?

  • what kind of model is that. think i have the same one

  • It took around 2 hours for the 265m Titanic, it takes 2 minutes for the 30inch Titanic to sink. Sounds pretty logical.

  • yea now .... go get it XD

  • That was really realistic! Great model skills!

  • LOL

  • did you get it back?

  • where was that sinking

  • Oh noez!!

  • A real fantastic video would be to try and sink a model with lights!!! Seal them up nice and good, yet still have it visible from outside,

    oh it'd be great!

  • then it woud go out when the water touches it, just like the real thing! it would be kool, i shud do that with my model

  • LOL

  • why is there so many sinking titanic videos?

  • Because it sucked at floating.

  • I wonder if this model was balaced exactly like the real ship (but on a smaller scale, of course) because it sank quite realistically for something a foot long.

  • Very Impressive. I love the angle of this shot too.

  • Sank just like the original :]

  • How deep is the water?

  • About six feet deep in this particular video. I retrieved the model via a fishing line tied to the bow.

  • i'm sure you get sick of telling people this all the time xD

  • what would you do it the place where the line snaps and the model is stuck on the bottem?and does the model come painted?

  • uhh maybe it will start to get decomposed?

  • :13 brings back memories...

  • what do u mean

  • wat do u mean

  • I was fiddling with my model without bulkheads yesterday and it turns out that for some odd reason, Titanic would have CAPSIZED if the water tight doors were not closed and the bulkheads were not an effect on the sinking. weird hu?

  • I saw a documentary that showed that and they said it actually could of saved more lives. I do not remember what happened it was over 10 years ago since i saw that. but i know they where testing that theory.

  • well, in theory, it would, because without the bulkheads, the ship would have sank evenly. In theory, Now i believe that she could have capsized during the sinking.

  • I actually saw a program on TV where they built a scale model of the ship that they could sink with both the compartments closed and open. With the compartments closed, the model sank just like the real ship did. With the compartments open, the model capsized and sank much sooner.

  • that explains why britanic rolled over

  • Well not exactly. Although they were sisters, Brit's design was very diffrent. I think the Bulkheads were closed too. Also there were more hits on the side of the ship. I think thats why Britannic capsized.

  • no, some of the bulkheads never closed for some reason

  • Cool angle.

  • Thank you -- this is one of my favorites.

  • guys who wonder how he got it back... ever heard of fishing line? he could have attached some before he sank it, and then just hid it under the water out of site. if he didnt he should have.

  • thats what I was thinkin he did, otherwise I dunno how he would get it except diving 4 it.

  • Fishing line it was, yes. I don't answer this question anymore since it gets asked about 15 times a week, but you had a good guess.

  • haha cool, i was right XD i figured it would be the best bet, well its what i would use anyway.

  • where did u git it!? i beg for it

  • Hobby shops or marine stores might still carry them. Otherwise, an internet search for "minicraft titanic model" should work for you.

  • Though it did not break in two, the stern does bob at the end for a second or two, as many claimed it did that night

  • hi there mate i've just ordered one of the academy 1:400 scale titanic models should be here soon loved the sinking you got it perfect right up vertical and slow

  • Thanks very much! Post a video when you're finished with the 1/400!

  • I want one!

  • how do u get them out of the water, and it was taken from a gud angle

  • how do you git it back do you have 2 of them

  • Hi there M8 i Think your titanic sinking vids are IMMENSE!!!

but please tell me how do you make the bulkheads did you use sheets of plastic and if yes how did you keep them in?????

  • good job

  • Thanks!

  • Awesome sinking... I couldn't get a model I had before to do what yours does. Also, it's fine that you film the same thing from different angles. It's good, actually.

  • I appreciate it. Thanks!

  • Welcome. ^^

  • WOW THAT WAS AMAZING!!! Good camrea view, o and how did u get the ship to sink like that?

  • Thanks! The ship has been modified internally -- see the description.

  • How do you get these models?i really want

    one

  • How many videos of this same model have you posted on You Tube? The Titanic only sank once!

  • The 30" model? About six. The 18" model: about the same.

Surely you realize there are far more trivial things on YouTube.

  • u so lucky u have your own lake that u could use

  • nice :)

  • its clear that someone or somethibg is supporting that model beneath the surface, you can tell by the way it stays in the air before slipping under

  • I appreciate your skepticism, but this model was designed to do exactly that (stay in the air), by trapping air in the stern section to create a long vertical "hang-time." The water in which this model was sunk was deeper than the length of the model itself -- there was nothing (and no one) supporting it from beneath.

That being said, believe what you like. :)

  • Excellent :)

  • Cool angle.

  • Where can i buy that model?

  • Does this one come with damage

  • sorry., but no. I asked the same question, but rapidnadion made the damage himself

  • was that shot at the angle of the ship where it rises, snaps in two, falls, then rises again, and makes the final plunge like in the movie?

  • Pretty much the same angle, yes.

  • may i ask a question?

  • Sure.

  • My Question? Well could you probably make a vid of the 30'' ship on her way to the bottom like we see her hit the mud.that would be nice

  • Sorry, my friend -- no underwater camera available, and no water clear enough to sink her in, either. Maybe someday!

  • oh well mabe you can give her a expantion joint

  • Beautifully done, congratulations.

  • i just realized that you have the propellers on the back of the ship

  • completley historicaly acurate unless u count the snapping and thats too difficult to do so 100% in my books congratz

  • is it impossible that model can break in half while sinking?????

  • The model's much too strong for that. But I may build a breaking Titanic model in the future. When I have more time.

  • its cool because at the end of the 30 inch model sinkings the very stern stays up in mid air for a moment

  • Air Rushes out the Model, Causing it to Sink In further. The Water's Weight also helps sink the model. Remember - Air cannot be in water, unless it is in some kind of sealed object. Titanic's Iceberg Damage Has Holes in it, letting Air Escape, making the model sink.

  • Your Stern Goes Down Correctly, Like an Accurate Model. Other Models Just Go Down, and have No Accurate plunge scale. You have a correct scale stern!

  • Thanks!

  • where can i get one and for how much?

  • It's custom-built.

  • nice stern show there some people wonder why the stern ended up like a junk. well its coz the stern was air tight shut has it went down it blew up

  • and dont forget the water pressure helped, which is why im surprized the bow made it down still particly intact.

  • Well, the bow had been slowly filling with water for two and a half hours, remember. When it was on its way to the ocean floor, there was almost no air left inside. No air = no pressure differential = no implosion.

  • W8 a minute, this model has water tight compartments and shit? How much did that cost and is it meant for water play?

  • Model cost about 80 bucks in 2000 -- it's a 30" model made by Academy-Minicraft and is still sold today. But it's only meant to be a display model -- the watertight bulkheads, iceberg damage, and ballast were all custom-built by me.

  • That's Sweet

  • Well, this one is pretty cool. This might be the best one.

  • that looks better, sinking vertically

  • Get another angle of it! still awesome

  • Check out the composite multi-angle video on Google Video.

  • How should we search for that?

  • "Titanic composite."

  • Now that is cool.
