  • Macs...

Processors so great, had to switch to intel...

Operating system so great, had to use the core of someone else's os...

Mac as a company, so great that their rival had to bail them out in 1997...

You can buy a computer for $500 and put mac os on it. It will have the same specs as what is being sold on apple.com. Plus most hardware manufactures will give you a 3 year warranty, depending on the retailer you buy it from, they can offer extended warranty.

    What is apple selling you?

  • <3 Justin Long. :D

  • at least Windows tell you which is the problem so you can find a solution on the Internet

  • Windows: Will Install Needles Data On Whole System... It's an acronym

  • @mailbox2223 needles? i think u mean needless

  • @HiImSuan Thanks,

Windows: Will install needless data on whole system

  • @mailbox2223 Macs backward = scam

  • no macs get worse things....!

    mackeeper adds !!!

  • .dll? That's a file used by a program. It contains code it's not an error message you dumbfucks.

  • My dad gave me 2 grand to get him a new macbook in the mall while he went to sears or something. When I got to the mac store I broke the macbook in half. Best day of my life.

  • @DestroyEET What a waste of money.

  • @nerfmaster329 I broke the old one. I still bought him the new one.

  • ive broken a mac before....

  • HE said fucky????

  • Error 692

    Sytax Error and down here...

    FATAL ERROR

  • WMP = Windows Media Player

  • funniest thing is that mac actually gives you error 0 every single damned time it runs into an error. know what error 0 means? it means unidentifiable error.

  • @Protomasterexe Brilliant deduction. I completely agree :D

  • LUL No cryptic error messages from Mac?

"Bomp" LUL You are full of shit"

    'Ok'

  • Truth is nobody bothers to develop anything for mac so they can't get errors or viruses. THE ONLY REASON. Everybody develops for the PC so there is bound to be some people making viruses.

  • @cstb8 Truth is Apple pays people to make viruses for PC and TechTV even interviewed some of the hackers they employed about a decade ago, and since that arrogant Mac commercial saying Macs don't get Viruses there have been a lot of pissed off PC users making viruses specifically for Macs, and since every mac is virtually identical it's easy to keep up with their defenses. The more popular Macs become, the more that will become a problem.

Oh and Macs can't play over half my game collection.

  • @TheFenrisWolf84 Well, computers aren't game consoles are they? And why the hell would you just get a computer for gaming?

  • @ChainLocked That comment tells me two things, 1: you're a mac, 2: You have never owned or knew someone who owned any steam game whatsoever.

  • @Protomasterexe I own a Mac and believe it or not I actually have a Steam account. I own steam games.

  • @ChainLocked What games?

  • @Protomasterexe CoD 4 and Left4Dead 2. I also have purchased WoW, but not through steam.

  • @ChainLocked That explains it to some degree.

  • @Protomasterexe Ya, but anyways, as I said earlier I'm a college student and don't have too much time to play games. I bought my Macbook mainly for school, but it is also powerful enough to the games I enjoy.

  • @ChainLocked Because some of the best games are computer games, and if you can't play games on your computer you suck! Besides it's not like PCs can't do other things besides play videogames, they do it all.

  • @TheFenrisWolf84 Wow man... that is really sad. By the way, I can play games on my Mac, I'm just a college student who cares more about his education than virtual worlds. And I didn't say PCs couldn't do other things besides video games. They can, just not as efficiently. And before I get anymore flaming I would like to remind you that the majority of Mac users have had a PC running the Windows OS. Hell, I used WIndows 10 years before I got my Mac. I even built my own $1050 Gaming PC.

  • I LOVE MAC!

  • Because Mac users are too stupid to google an error and fix it themselves.

    Unlike me :D

  • spotlight bitch

  • @TheHighMage thats true but i still like mac more

    im using windows atm.

  • @TheHighMage cool story bro.

  • @Kamatzu

    It is, it is.

  • WMP.DLL what the fuck is that . fatla error can someone telll me what is that i am using pc for 6 years and never had an error

  • it's a joke. it's not real. don't go looking for problems, you'll just create new ones. And you've had plenty of errors, just go look at your system errors and application error logs. you've just never had a crash or a blue screen of death issue. most of PCs crashes are caused by either a bad harddrive or bad memory. both are easily fixed.

  • To bad you cant upgrade a mac, so they are carted away non-stop.

  • They are typically high end so they last longer and have better resale value so you typically only need to upgrade the ram and hard disk (which isn't that hard).

  • Mac cryptic errors:

    support(dot)apple(dot)com/kb/HT2088

  • at the top of the page, it says that is for Mac OS 9 and earlier. Mac OS 9 was discontinued in 2002, that was 7 years ago....extremely outdated

  • yup, that's a Mac for ya, extremely outdated.

  • @piski125

that's what it says on the website

    We're sorry.

We can't find the page you're looking for.

Please return to the Apple Support homepage.

  • lol love the fat actor

  • haha I remember getting a wmp.dll error back in my pc days before i switched.

  • I love you Justin Long.

  • justin long is a beast. :D

  • the guy who plays mac is a twat

  • i like his long hair

  • whose long hair?

  • Justin Long

  • Typical Mac ad... PCs traditionally gave errors like "general protection fault" and "page fault" that require a rough understanding of OS architecture to understand, but they're OS-level errors.

The Macs I've seen say things like "An error type -14 has occurred." Great... can't troubleshoot it without a Mac technicians manual.

  • Really, how is system 8 or 9. i never seen any error on my mac running os x leopard. huh, not fair you get to have all the fun with the old os's.

  • I support PCs and Macs on a large scale for a living, and both are actually very reliable now.

The commercial is just making up errors to scare people into buying Macs though. "WMP.DLL" would tell you exactly what needs fixing, but only be one word of the error on a real computer. Error 692 sounds like an old Mac error code, syntax error you'd only see programming or in a command line (on PC or Mac), and fatal error... is just a generic error type - that neither OS displays.

  • Also, Leopard is quite nice and has been working great at work. Tiger was fun to use, but locked up on me so often on an almost fresh install on a previous-gen Macbook Pro 15" that it felt like I was back in Windows 95. (No error message, but a reboot was needed.) That's ironic considering Apple assumes that's where PCs are in their ads...

The features did make up for it and the presentation was always slick, so it's really a matter of what you're willing to put up with to get things done.

  • very funny,but I use PC
