@WilmerWW Actually it is. The soundtrack itself is a Roger Waters-Ron Geesin collaboration, but this one song features an uncredited performance from the other members of Pink Floyd. Read the video description.
@whillop Maybe I was wrong, I can admit that! You're the one who's pathetic. I have one advice for you: "Look in the mirror!!" You came up with your pussy comment, not me! So, you should've said: "I comment like a real live little bitch." The funniest part is that you prooved that! ;)
Yeah, I know. But my point is, this is the first occurance of female backing vocals on a Pink Floyd song, and is this what inspired them to use female vocals on Dark Side of The Moon.
@Mikemaniax Somehow no one mentioned that at least one of those female singers also sang on Dark Side of the Moon: Doris Troy.
If you want to hear a lot of what inspired Dark Side of the Moon in general, listen to the Beaver & Krause albums "In A Wild Sanctuary" and "Gandharva".
sorry but it is such many generations down that it will not be worth it
it has many blank screen shots and also video that is not suitable for youtube viewers, even though it is an educational film....my copy is almost poor quality and has a lot of NEW video drop outs every time I try to watch it...you can hardly make out the credits. maybe i shall make a THE BODY channel, because I dont want to loose this account...
This song was a shocking surprise finale to hearing this for the first time! It's not Clare Torry I don't think, but still very classy edition to Floyd here! Shoulda been a hit single!
The guitar playing sounds like Gilmour to me -Probably just improvised off the top of his head, not too well thought out. That's what I read once. Also, why does this song remind me of 'We Are The World'?
From what I've read and heard it is the Floyd playing. My thinking is that perhaps David played it differently as to make it not sound Floydian since it is credited as a Roger solo track and the other 3 from PF were essentially used as session musicians.

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if this is what inspired Pink Floyd to add the female vocals to Dark Side of the Moon.

@ZiggyZipgun1 I'm very familiar with that record actually, and yeah I agree.

I've always thought that too. This one song kind of jumps their progression by a few albums.

Who's the second male singer? Or is it one of the female singers?
AlbertMondback 3 years ago
As far as I know, Roger is the only male singer on this song. I assume it's one of the female backup singers.

IS this Pink Floyd playing? doesnt sound like Gilmour at all.

There is a song called Breathe!!!
LYMBO2006 3 years ago
Well wikipedia backs up your theory. It all sounds like Floyd, except guitar.

@Hammerofthegods32 The body is a collab with Roger Waters and Ron Geesin. This is the last song on the cd and Pink Floyd does the instrumentals.
