  • Why does all the sweet gear on youtube have so shitty demoguys? This guy doesn't sound like he knows what a guitar is!

  • if a teenager picks up this guitar they will be inspired to make weird bleeping noises. If they pick up a les paul or a strat they will be inspired to play like the greats and take over the world. it's as simple as that.

  • @FretLegendSmithy I'm a teenager and I would like to object to that.

This thing + a system of removable fretboards (so I could use alternate temperaments) wold be heaven, and instead of playing like the greats, I could play like ME.

Who wants to do what has already been done? I just want to do what I think sounds good, and be as artistic as possible in the process.

  • @kratanuva725 well, i'm a teenager too and from hearing the great guitar players talk about learning to play and developing their own sound, i would think that being artistic and creative depends on the person, not the technology loaded into the guitar. the reason these people did what they did is because they found their own way of playing the guitar and therefore revolutionising it and inspiring the people who listen to them

  • @FretLegendSmithy I don't think there is any specific answer to that. Certainly there is creative merit from being limited to certain elements, forcing you to think out of the box, but there are other times when you literally just need a different box. At one time the electric guitar was a new thing.

  • @kratanuva725 i see your point but i think i'd pick tradition over technology any day.

  • @FretLegendSmithy Well, that's perfectly fine. I mean, look at Jack White for example. He is very rooted in tradition, but still manages to make a new sound.

I guess what I'm trying to say though, is that tradition is always changing. Like I said before, at one time the electric guitar was new. We didn't always have electricity you know. We also didn't always have steel strings. The steel string guitar at one time was also new technology.

  • Have yet to see one video where I hear someone play something I would actually want to listen to. It might be fun to play, but it is hell on the ears.

  • Usually I am the first person to say Shut Up and play but there are a number of vids of people playing - first time I wanted an explanation -

  • Cool idea, and technology... Buutt... this thing is incredibly gay hahah

  • What a piece of SHYT.

  • LOOK! WHY? In the hell did they NOT put on or install the fretboard "DOT INLAYS" OH WHAT A PITY!

  • FF to 3:44 to skip the bull shit

  • Oh God, just shut up and play it.

  • @LightWillIgniteUsAll

Damn right, mate. I wish this woman would fuck off with her bullshit diatribe.

  • unlimited sustain isn't a new thing. the fernandes sustainer pickup (humbucker or single coil) did it before this. Also the Ebow, but that isn't built into the guitar.

  • @simmy403 how about automaticly muting tho?

    that's awesome

...but if there is something like this cheaper.. SHOW ME THE WAYYYY!

  • I love the look of the guitar. . but don't think I would want to own it. For the money, I am would be happy with a Les Paul or a high end Strat. Just give me the real deal.

If you wanted, you can add all these sounds with a Roland unit for a lot less money. . and still have a solid real deal Gibson or Fender. My take anyway.

  • That is Milf - Moog I'd Like to Funk

  • this looks like something matt bellamy would have

  • i reckon, cos of the price it wouldn't be good for a normal guitar player to invest in, but for a rich bandmember to throw a little bit of his large wallet at it and then do say a special track with some phsychodelic stuff or some intros it would be good for the rest of us

  • Watch out for his knob

  • Terrible interviewer, amazing product

  • I love power and everything that makes it sound un-plucky. But for some reason, I love the cello.

  • Bob was an innovator. The company he left behind leaves a lot to be desired. But SW = COOL

  • I think Moog as a company has been working on some great new products and have a feeling they are in no short supply of original ideas.

  • Great idea, and Wonderfully engineered, but I don't find it entirely worth it for the price.

  • ....useless...

  • i'm sure if hendrix was still around he would prove you wrong...

  • useless??? really??? its completely innovative and allows much more creativity and expression.

  • 2or 3gigs and you´ll be tired of it. Believe me. I'm an old guitar player and in my life I have bought a lot of gadgets, (one of them was a little device that gave extended sustain when you put it over the strings) searching for "the sound", only to find that "the sound" lives in your fingers... Anyway, congratulations if you can spend all that money in a toy, only to find that after 2 or 3 songs, your audience, and U are getting asleep... Mr. Moog was a genius, BUT obviously he's dead.

  • great guitar and ideas.but the price is way out in left field....
