When I showed Jagjit Ji the lyrics of this song, he asked who has written this. I had sat the entire day with the award winning lyricist Nida Fazli to write the lyrics but when Jagjit Ji saw it he said, we don't need a lyricist to write but a 'bhakt' meaning a devotee. He asked me for various translations of Hindi and Urdu Bible and wrote the lyrics then and there in the studio.

Dear Sachin Grace, "Ae mere Khuda" song was taken from The Holy Bilble (Zaboor 63 A Psalms of David Chapter 63." ) it is such a beautiful song. A psalms is a hymn of praise to God. Psalm of David, was probably written when he was in the wilderness of Judah, probably written while David was fleeing from Absalom.

I was so wonderful to read your comments. I was in India when I made this song and the album "Bhajan Sanghita Vol II" My father Rev. Pradip Ku Das and I composed the music and I did the music score. When I took the lyrics to Jagjit Ji he said he wants to write it again, so I gave him three different versions of Bible, including one in Urdu. Living legend Daman Sood recorded the song in the famous Western Outdoor studios.
