i have my turtle and its small i have created a dock for him but he is not going in the dock what should i do for that and the shop man said that leave the turtle in water for only 4 our in day otherwise its shell will become soft please help me in this. Thank you

IMO overall rating out of 10 i give it an 9 good job i especially like the basking area just one thing .... wont that turtle log rot under water?

thanks it wasnt easy lol alot of geometry involved lol... as for the half log its not made of wood it a composite that looks like wood but heavier. it actually pretty goos though

thanks and it not too hard i have great filters fluval 2 plus two of them and i change water once a month its all good she keeps it clean. ive had her two years i like your turtle races lol

its made if cieling tile that has holes in it its used for outside like under awnings. i cut it to match and use suction cup as well as zip ties to fasten them together so its like one big piece. i use one piece as a base as u can see its under the ramp

Hey what is the basking area made out of. I mean what is the green stuff? Is that green plastic grass stuff? and why no substrate on the bottom? I would also try to find her a little bit longer tank. Same depth and height just longer. She looks great btw. Are you using a UVB bulb? If so, what level?

its terrarium lining which is how glued to plexiglass. you can get it at and pet store. substrate..idk im not to fond of it it can creat quite a mess when cleaning up. as for longer tank i think this is good for now its 36longX18wide which provides a good surface area and turn ratio. and im using uvb 10.0 for 12hrs a day. she loves to bask and i even leave food on dry land for her to take into the water. she seems happy.

i want to put a lot of decor and stuff like that in my tank but i'm always scared the little guy is going to get stuck. they are so mischevious. looks good.

dont be too scared to put anything. RES are resilient and very strong and great swimmers.i had a hanging plant once and my turtle climbed all the way to the top of the tank then dove into the water. they know what they are doing. here's a tip when u try a new decor watch them for an hour or so if if nothing bad happens then then it wont happen when your gone and avoid tight stuff. besides with a turtle tank the less you have the cleaner it stays.

well i have two filter one whisper (i dont recommend it kind of weak) and i have a fluval plus 2 internal filter. and change water every 2 weeks. idk check austins turtle page
