Stupid question time again Bill. How do you get a project that is finished in SV to dvd architect ? . I have done a good wedding video and it burns perfect onto a dvd . Now I want to learn dvd architect so that future projects are even more polished .
The help section in dvd architect is useless. I cannot find the project in any files to add to it . Even though it is in my sv 11 hd program. Loads of help on making menus etc.... but none on how to get the media in to it .
@guerillabill ... Thanks Bill. Spent 2 days trying to get a project in. It seemed the only way I could do it was to save it to a folder of my choice. It seemed impossible to find it in sony vegas. Thanks again for your help.
It's cool how you can make your own graphic menu in a separate program then add interactive buttons in DVD Architect on the parts of the graphic menu.
Hey how do you make you're highlighted buttons to change from one place to another for example when I want for the button to change from play to scenes button. The buttons won't slide when I preview the video the buttons just stay highlited But their is no motion on the buttons they all just stay yellow and that's a what happens. If you could answer my question I would gladly aprishiate you help thanks!!!!!!!!!!
hi bill, great tutorials you make, I was wondering if there is a way to use my PSD file with layers and to create hover effects. So I would have a blue arrow lets say and then I have another arrow which would be white after I hover over it, how do I work my way around that? I've used another DVD program which made the import of PSD menu's much easier, but I love Sony Products and their editing interface, I am a first timer with this program, so yea trying to learn quickly for a project.
@IAMTUBIN You can import PSD files directly into DVD Architect, but you are limited by the DVD spec as to what you can do when highlighting buttons.
This is a restriction in the DVD spec and has nothing to do with the authoring software. A DVD player can only highlight an area with a color. You can create invisible buttons on top of the PSD buttons, and use the button color set to make it look like the button is changing colors when you hover over it.
@StLVidz Sony Movie Studio includes DVD Architect, which does include several DVD templates and backgrounds. And you can use any image or even video clip as a background for your DVD menus.
Hi Bill, Great Video You Have Done Amazing Work. I Wanted To Ask A Question, How Were You Able To Make The Dvd Like That-Meaning To Where You Click On A Word Such As Intro And It Goes To The Intro?
@BritneySpearsHdVideo I created a button over each word in the background, and set the button destination to the chapter on the DVD I wanted it to go to. Find a longer video and article about this on my web site.
Hey Bill, Another great and helpful video. Where did you get the template for the back ground? It looks like a western wanted poster. What do you call the template? Thanks.
Can you create DVD backgrounds using GIMP 2.6?

@SkremeWorkStudios Yes, you can use Gimp or any image editor to create DVD menu backgrounds.

@evsynator In Sony Movie Studio, use 'render as', then choose the 'ntsc DV' template, and give the file a file name.
Then open DVD Architect, and open the rendered file. Then follow the steps I show above.
