  • Just read threw all the arguements here. 1st off it is awesome to finally see someone from MA with a whellin vid. I love it out there in the Berkshires!!, 2ndly, yes if your makin a rock-buggy you want full size axles danna 60 front n somethin like a 14 bolt main rear or if ur loaded go with rockwells. Ive tended to use a 14 bolt from a duelly cuz its a lil narrower in width n fits good under a jeepo. But yes you gotta strech ur rig a longer wheel base for crawlin give u more of a reach

  • How much did it cost to make this jeep like this?

  • Why are your windshield wipers goin full speed :o

  • Agree on the longer wheel base argument. My 4 Door Wrangler makes it up this ledge in one shot. Short wheelbase has more difficulty unless highly modded.

  • "LIKE IT'S FUCKIN NOTHIN! NO EFFORT AT ALL! THAT'S FUCKIN AHW-SOME!" gotta love New Englandahs. It's wicked pissah up heah.

  • well, does he make it? really nice job on those lockers helping with the climb. impressive.

  • @domeslacker Yes I made it .... just as the camera man turned off the camera ...... always the way ..... I didn't speak to my wife for a week !!!!

  • nice. 6" long arm and a 2.5" body? are those 35s or 38s?

  • @TessaandJon

Thanks, The total lift at the time the video was made was 7.5 inches, Skyjacker's 4 inch Rock Ready Long Arm kit , JKS ACOS 2.25 inches and a JKS body lift of 1.25 inches. - total lift at the time of the video 7.5 inches. The tires were 13.5 x 37 Nitto Mud Grapplers .... I'm running IROK 13.5 x 39.5 now

  • i dont get why people think jeeps are so bad ass. i used to own a toyota hilux stock suspension with over sized tires. i sold it. then i bought a jeep wrangler TJ with a 4 inch lift and 33's and That jeep cant do hardly anything my old toyota used to be able to do. i don't get all the hype. the jeep is tough and can take a hard beating but My old toyota would have out performed it on the trails. i like my jeep but i miss My yota.

  • @MrGizmo757 You probably just don't know how to drive your jeep.

  • @MrGizmo757 you dont know how to drive then....... the jeep would out perform in all ways, ALL ways

  • @americanmonster1 nope your wrong. the short wheel base of the jeep is a big disadvantage when it comes to rock crawling and articulation. it makes the roll over risk much much higher. the short wheel base is a good thing in trail but not in crawling. ask any real off roader they will tell you the same. jeeps have a place in the off road world but rock crawling isn't it.

  • @MrGizmo757 then why is that you jeep dominating the rock crawling world??? yes they do roll easy but they climb better and can flex a lot more than any vehicle. Jeep is off road, keep your toyota in the city

  • @americanmonster1 they dominate because they are the only light wight 4x4 vehicle that still employes live front and rear axles. duh! its cheaper to buy a rig that already has that equipment then to convert one. i promise you cost is the only reason. there are plenty of vehicles out there that can do better. just like the argument that the older short wheel base jeeps do better than the long wheel base jeeps. on trail yes. rock crawling no. long wheel base is much more stable than short.

  • @MrGizmo757 they come equiped like that because they are built for things like this jeep is off roading

  • @americanmonster1 yes but My main argument is the long wheel base jeeps or long wheel base 4x4 of any type. is better than a short wheel base vehicle when it comes to rock crawling or other similar situations. the longer wheel base is more stable and less likely to roll over. the standard short wheel base is good for trail ware you have to make lots of tight turns and maneuvers. and anybody that want to argue that point has not had the experience to know better.

  • why is it that hills dont look as bad when on video?

  • Nice video, i have a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon stock with the only addition of a roof wrack and im very happy with it. :) Would love to have a hummer to!!!

  • "oh baby" hah

  • nice Jeep, how big is your lift?

  • @chopursticks ....about 8.5 inches all total

  • just got my first jeep....cant wait to rock crawl!!..looks like ...A RUSH!

  • "That's Fockin' ahhwsome!" lol

  • Nice jeep man just sold my wrangler it had a 3 inch teraflex and 33' mtr's and it would go anywhere....i live in mass too you ever been to coys hill in ware MA?? nvr been out to old florida rd but rattlesnake gutter is pretty sick too

  • haha love the camera guy here

  • My Bonneville could go up that.

  • Yeah, maybe if was being dragged by a bulldozer

  • Nice. Hard to get up the wet stuff.

  • a stock jeep on different tires could get up that

  • No Doubt, Your vast knowledge and years of experience are the basis of your statement .

  • Perhaps airing down the tires would help. Don't know what the rest of the trail looked like, though.

  • I have made it up this obstacle since this video was made. Airing down the tires was definitely a factor. This was my first Jeep build and one of the first times I'd had it out. Most of the trail is rocks on top of rocks on top of rocks !!!

  • have you still got the dana 30 in the front of tj or have got the 44 now

  • high pinion 60's

  • Hahaha, the guys talking in the video gave me a good laugh.

  • nice jeep, I hope to have mine ready to hit trails like that this time next year.

  • hey where is this trail at? nice vid and jeep

  • nice jeep mate bit cheaper for you guys to build them ,,im in oz and its about double the cost on eveything here ....whys the front bar on such a forward angle ive have never seen that before

  • Thanks ! The front bar is called a "stinger", why I don't know. Its purpose is to help prevent front end roll overs while going down steep angles and to limit damage to the radiator in side roll overs. The stinger projects out 1 meter at 45 degrees and is reinforced now with 4cm D.O.M. tubing that is welded to the frame. I once had a stock Jeep, then I meet my good friend Dan from Australia - LOOK WHAT HE STARTED!!!! We've had a blast!!!

  • he might have been able to get it if he went back so the fornt wheels barly stayed on and then bumped it on up, maby second gear in 4 low? who knows, when it is slippery like that, a rock under the wheel is probably best

  • You are 100% right. I did get up the rock using 4low and 2nd gear, bump and jump ! It worked once. When I tried to do it again for the 3rd time - things went bad, very bad ! I've sent you a video that someone else recorded that shows what happened ! It was fun and it beat sitting home on the couch !

  • V8?

  • Factory six with just a few extras

  • Dang you guys got a pretty sick jeep man. I got an 89 2-Door XJ. I like the barbie jeeps, but you gotta have the folding down back seats lol! Jeeps for life man! Fords suck... lol

  • Hehe, was it raining at the time or did the wipers get bumped and the driver was SO focused on the climb that he didnt notice the wipers running?

    Nice vid though

  • No, it was pouring out. That's way everything is wet and water is running down the middle of the trail in the first part of the video.

  • Is that a stick or an automatic? Sexy build man. I wish i had the cash to do mine. I just make enough to fix what i break. LOL

  • Thanks, Its a 5 speed stick. AX15 trans with a 4.3 to 1 Atlas II and D60's with 4.88's

  • wish my ford would crawl like that lol, that would take alot of skinny pedal to get my truck over that......maybe not but thats probly how i would do it :)

  • Yeah because your ford is a piece of shit.

  • Comment removed

  • what.

  • you suck fat dick

  • good one? are you 2 years old? Go ride around in your piece of shit ford.

  • u still suck fat dicks

  • I think your username says it all. "redneck" you faggot. And you must be fuckin 2 years old..get a good comeback

  • u STIIIILLL suck fat dicks

  • Something just doesn't look or sound right here. First you insult people and call them name. When they respond to your comments by pointing out the obvious, you continue to confirm the obvious facts by babbling on with your mouth. Here is what's obvious: 1.) The sky is blue 2.) You have posted 3 child like videos on youtube 3.) Your favorite video has fat guys in diapers showering together 4.) You live in an intellectually inferior country 5.) YOU SUCK FAT DICKS - That says it all !!!! -

  • I can tell he,s still making payments on it by the way he,s driven.Good job though.Nice jeep

  • No - no payments, you were close though. That was one of the first times it was out after a frame off 8 month build. I'm still building. The rule in my house is: I can't buy anything new until I break the old. Now, I'm trying to figure out the best way to get a new top!

  • roll it lol

  • The jeep would look hot with some rev111 tube fenders!

  • I have tube fenders on the front now, the rear will be on soon. Thanks You can see them on a couple of videos I posted last week and 4 months ago.

  • sick jeep

freekin no problem to crawl that sh*t

  • good looking jeep man, sucker can crawl lol =0)

  • nice jeep, but lower those tyres and get beadlocks

  • Video effectively ruined by camera guy narration.

  • I second this one

  • need to deflate those tires some

  • no effort at all" and then he had to gun it.XD

  • to bad it was so wet you could have done that no problem if it was dry

  • yeah i was guna say the say the same thing tii

  • what kind of lift kit is that?

  • Skyjacker 4" long arm and springs with JKS ACOS and Edelbrock extreme travel shocks on all 4 corners

  • this is right on mt greylock i believe

  • nooope, right across town on the other set of mtns, east side
