To beerget, I live in Venezuela and while there are sometimes shortages of some products, thanks to the hoarding and speculation of private companies trying to make a profit and put pressure on the state, what you have said is a wild exaggeration: milk (liquid), eggs, sugar, chicken and meat are all in plentiful supply, as are the vast majority of products!!!
For the people that think that the president is not enough honest, I just can say that not everything is as easy as we can imagine, is not just about to get in power and wait for all the problems to solve by magic...it's a process, a long one, to educate; to find the balance in economy and the ways they produced; to erradicate all the bad practices and corruption that has prevailed for years and years, still a long way to go but at least they're already walking...!
and why are you removing peoples comments and getting their accounts deleted from youtube when they speak against your ignorant tirade? A little bit of Chavez politics rubbing off on you well, obviously!

What is the destiny that the people are taking into their own hands? There is no good or productive future for the Venezuelan 'pueblo'. All I can see is a black future for everyone.
Try to study the Venezuelan scenario from another perspective. It may disappoint you.
Just because it is called "Social Revolution" it doesn't mean is good. A charming president does not mean good or honest.
Anglevert: Have you lived in the barrios of Venezuela like almost 20 million venezuelans have for many decades? If you had, you would know that the life of millions of venezuelans has positively changed since Chavez came to power! And yes, they have taken their destiny in their own hands and have decided democratically - by the power of the vote - who will lead the way into the future... Free health and education for all means a lot to many people that never had access to these basic rights.
I'm Venezuelan and its almost impossible for me to meet my president... so jealous, Good on you guys. Hope to meet you soon at the AVSN in Brisbane (I've been living in the GC for a year now).
