  • Thank you for sharing this beautiful version of your own playing. Keep up the good play!

  • The ornaments need to be more consistent - as if they are part of the melodic language. Otherwise, they sound too prominent and isolated.

At 2:01, I have always heard an E flat in the bass. You play a C. are my editions wrong?

  • Have you got a 4' flute on top of an 8' principal? Unusual practice that is.

  • Unusual in this style; for Italian baroque organs, using the Principale 8' and Flauto in Ottava 4' was quite common, especially for playing canzonas. On other organ types, the ear must decide if this combination is appropriate or not.

  • Quite precisely!

  • By a strange coincidence, I was just listening to Albert Schweitzer's recording of this piece on YouTube and I noticed that he used a 4' flute with the 8' Principal in the solo voice. Then I clicked this video and saw the question raised. Weird. The Schweitzer, by the way, is a must listen for all lovers of this choral prelude and Bach in general.

  • Nice steady and flowing tempo. Soft and temperate drills. Pleasant and cottonlike lead voice. One of the greatest versions of No 622 on the "Tube" I´ve heard. Good job!

  • Not my most favored piece of Bach but none the less stunningly performed with a gentle and contextually accurate touch. Thanks for a great recording.
