@satisfiction hi SF! Thanks. yep. covering like crazy. But I don't play the guitar as well as Spookie plays the blinds! Last summer I did a 6-hour vid of 53 Early Bob Dylan Songs -- that's on my original channel, paulhallart.
@Itwo4I hi Itwo. Thanks. too true about the cam sound. I was able to improve it as I went on a dizzying find-out session about cams&stuff. Operating with like a zero cash flow, it was really hard to get equipment. plus doing these direct cam uploads, I didn't have time or wherewithal to review the work, just had to go ahead&post&hope4the most. Now with YT and the net I got2do everything4free which is OK with me to b able2contribute, but when I was street singing at least I got coffee money.
@Korbs21 Hi Korbs, Thanks! It's amazing when certain composers get the notes just right to make a timeless composition that lives on for all of us. John Denver lives on!
@matafenomeno99 hi mat! Thanks! I almost went to Croatia back in the day when it was a part of the second Yugoslavia. I had tried to go to Ireland and do artwork there but was denied entry. so I saved up and went around the world, got 3 paintings done in Fiji and about 15 drawings done in Samoa, and returned to Paris where I was then planning to go to Yugoslavia, starting by street-singing in Trieste, Italy -- but met an old friend and went with him and his friends to Spain instead.
@Paintballboy54 thanks Paint, I was sort of worried that it mightn't've been all that good, but I went ahead and uploaded. chalk it up to an old street singer looking for another busking pitch. and why not cyberspace. I just got done doing covers of early Bob Dylan songs on my other channel, paulhallart. They're in 9 40-minute albums since YT removed the time restriction for me. But we've got to take our hats off to old John Denver for coming up with such great music. a far-out groove!
@ultimatepowersun oh. 4a while there I even thought it was one of those sideways faces using the cap D as in xtreme laughter and the cap H 4a pair of glasses kinda like, u know, ... [H<D -- guess it doesn't work that well. kind of like the nerdie lol.
We've been trying4 hd type equipment 4a while but u know how those Republicans and their big money boys ring every last $ out of the lower classes. as I sez I can get by, the hard part is getting to buy.
@100johnwayne Thanks, one hundred! I first heard this song in one of the Samoan Islands back in the 70's. Back then I was singing Woody Guthrie songs and I had just gotten back from Paris (that was my 1st trip round the world, it's easier to go in one direction instead of back and 4th) where I had been singing Bob Dylan's "Changing of the Guard" in the Paris Metros (in the trains) for fifty-five days to sort of raise some funds.
@vanesssssa1Xx Thanks, vanesssssa! I felt really strange for a little bit when I started doing these, I'm used to standing at a busking pitch somewhere in the world for 12 hours a day as a street singer. This is all new4me, but one has2adapt.
@vanesssssa1Xx Thanks 4 ur encouragement Vane5s'sa (guess it would've been just as fast2type in the s's!)! okay, if u say so. I'll keep going. I was feeling a bit down at my flagging stats. how r things at the university these days? I'm an old drop-out from Oxford. I was there the same time as Bill Clinton, back in '71.
@Flemmi93 Thanks Flemmi! well this gold one is one of three I have now, I have a white one in the closet and have been wearing the yellow one 4 a while now. u can see that on my other channel paulhallart, like on all my Early Bob Dylan Collection albums (so far 4 of them) covers.... when I can afford them I usually wear long sleeve shirts with button-down pockets. That's when my friends got me the 2blue shirts 'cause my regular ones were turning into rags on my back. had2take a shirt cut...
@TheKristianholst Thanks. well actually, about the shirt. I had two of them. Some of my friends from India got them for me at one of our local Skagway tourist shops. but they wore out. now I have a yellow one. It's as though I was like a Startrek science officer and now I got the gold shirt...
Good cover old friend :)
