Thank you for posting. MP looks radiant, and sounds even more so. This is what you get when you match one of the loveliest Italian arias with one of the loveliest voices ever -- magic. The message of modesty in this particular aria matches MP's sweet demeanor. One of the very best sopranos, such a pure voice.

I can't believe what I've heard. People don't sing like that anymore. My favorite, Caballe couldn't be better. I heard Price many years ago in a historic stage of Don Carlo with Domingo, Obrazcova and Nesterenko, Zeffirelli I think was a director. She was completely ill with flu and still sang like a healthy singer wouldn't even think of singing. It showed on TV in USSR and for a few days there was talk of nothing else but her singing. Thanks for posting. Fantastic!!!

Most singers will tell you this aria is very hard- especially the octave jumps at the end. She makes it all sound so easy! One of the loveliest versions of I've ever heard of this aria. I'd be standing and cheering as well.

Is the cleanest version of this aria. I agree about the relationship between fatness and beautiful singing. Maria Callas is an example of that. When she was fat, she rocked and then she became thin and her voice became unpleasent.

Flawless technique and beautiful sound. Brava. I read in the latest issue of Opera News that she retired 9 yrs ago, and that she always applied the way she sang Mozart to everything she sang, which much accounts for that creamy, clean sound. Bella Voce!
