@trixiedoor. Yes, you are correct with jess and sookie. I liked jess more in seasons 1&2 when she was a winy teen. And sookie is quite a bitch. Defenetly when it comes to her attitude with bill, witch is a shame. Love bill.
@rabbitholegirl1 Actually her "attitude with Bill" is basically to get angry for five minutes and then forgive him anything. She's written as simultaneusly bitchy and brainless/spineless. The writers just don't treat her as a real person and her character is not emotionally believable to me at all, and hasn't been for at least 2 seasons. She hasn't really grown or had a consistent, well thought out character arc. Bill doesn't get much simpathy from me though, sorry.
@trixiedoor, haha! Loved your comment about the female characters. But if you think about it jessica is using jason and not the otherway around. And sookie left bill, eric and alcide. Three hunks! I think that the crasy bitches are ok, except for tara. Don't like her at all.
@rabbitholegirl1 Jessica has lots of potential as a character but they're not doing much with her aside from her men problems, which is a shame.
And sorry but Sookie is actually the worst female character of the show. She's REALLY badly written, inconsistent and basically just used as a plot device, an object to prop up the males and further their character development instead of hers. Take away her function as center of a love quadrangle or whatever, and not much else is left..
@rabbitholegirl1 well, I've been trying to enjoy it despite the inconsistencies but it's getting to the point where the only way I can enjoy it is if I just don't think AT ALL, and I used to see this show as more than brainless entertainment....
Plus, I'm really tired of female characters being used as plot devices and diminished to prop up the males. Can there be ONE competent female who isn't a victim or crazy or a "bitch" please?
@rabbitholegirl1 Even if she was "distracted" it's still contrived. The show is hugely inconsistent when it comes to vampires strenght and age. They made a big deal out of it when actually killing any vampire regardless of age seems pretty damn easy most of the time. Almost laughably easy. Apart from Russell, it kinda makes most "bad" vampires look like lightweights or irrelevant plot devices, like poor Sophie Anne.
I was watching that episode with my family (mom, dad, little sister), and a split second before that whole, suddenly gross craziness happened, I was like "It's like she's never met Eric Northman" In the sense of 'who do you think you're talking too' type of thing. I wonder if ppl just lose their minds, and forget that Eric is a viking king(or 'was') And 1,000 yrs old at thato_O' When u just run ur mouth like that, ur ass should just expect some sort of violent, death.
season 5 spoiler!!!: when nan was talking about the factions that eric knows... that includes eric's sister nora.... i think she is supposed to be a double agent in the authority.
"Hi Nan, and gay storm troopers..." precious, Eric has the greatest lines..
Sorry to break it to you boys.. you both have been acting like little sick puppy dogs when it comes to Sookie :P They got mad cause Nan called them on their shit.. oops ;)

@X525Crossfire ahh, okay thanks.. hmm, i've watched all the episodes in all seasons but have missed that.. i've never read that books.. i thought she was referring to something that he said to her during his confession to her and the AVL during the time he was wanting to kill Russell.. telling him about the werewolves that had vampire blood and Russell not wanting to co-exist with humans. Should be interesting to see what she was referring to.. thanks for the info :)
@X525Crossfire can you tell me what season and episode that is in or do they just refer to it? i'd like to watch that.. i watched all the seasons and episodes recently on HBO's website but it seemed like some of them could have been missing but I'm not sure.
@dbritton41 There wasn't a mention to Eric's sister in the show... yet. A spoiler that came out recently said that they were casting a woman to be his sister. They say she loves him... The rest is just speculation.
@Tatah2100 Oh wow, sister loves him? Like in love with him? Hmm.. Since his whole family was murdered I wonder where this sister came from.. If Godric made another vampire sister. wow, I hate that Alan Ball makes us wait until June 2012 for another season of TB. It's just not fair. @dbritton41 She's his vampire sister. Her name is Nora, and she's another child of Godric. The casting call said she loves her brother, it doesn't say that she's in love with him. Don't know for sure, though, since Eric doesn't have a vampire sister in the books (Bill does). In the books, Eric has a vampire brother. But well, in the books Godric isn't even Eric's Maker, so...
Alan Ball should stop saying that TB is based on the books. He's writing fan fiction, especially when it comes to Bill.
@Albolu Agh, I agree completely with you on that one about Alan Ball!! He should say that it's "loosely" based on the Sookie Stackhouse books. It would be kind of cool if Bill's sister came in to the picture though.. wonder what Sookie would think if Bill's sister came around and had some love for Eric ;). Can't wait for season 5. I really wonder if AB will put Sookie and Eric back together.. I can only hope.. Thanks for the info though. I miss Godric :(
@dbritton41 Godric is one of the few changes I actually like. lol
I don't believe Mr. Ball will put Sookie and Eric together since he says that Bill and Sookie are "soulmates". He was with the author of the books when he said that, actually. And the author answered that "it seemed that his show and her books were going to end differently". lol
Ball is on Team Bill, and it's so obvious it's not even funny. In the books, most of the time it's Eric who saves Sookie. In the show it's always Bill.
@Albolu Aww it broke my heart when, Godric died only cause of how it affected, Eric. Up until this summer I had only seen season 3 and 4. During this November I watched all the seasons 1 - 4. It's always been, Eric that has saved Sookie and obvious that Eric has always loved Sookie even when he couldn't admit it. It just seems to me that Bill has always had his own interests at heart when it came to Sookie. IDK that's MHO. Guess, it's Alan's show lol. :) In the books she ends up with Eric right?
@dbritton41 I don't think Eric has always loved Sookie. I believe he found her interesting at first. He was bored, and suddenly there was someone refreshing around who was awakening his curiosity. Plus, he was amused by Bill's jealousy. And he loves to compete... and win. The real feelings develope much later in the books, and then he spends even more time trying to come to terms with those feelings, at the same time that he tries to survive the difficult world of vampire politics.
@Albolu do you think that he fell in love with sookie after what she did for Godric? i don't know if that's how it happened in the books.. but in the series to me, it just seems like that is when he truly fell in love with her. i love the way you say "vampire politics" that's so true though.
@dbritton41 In the series, maybe. In the books it's a slower process. ;-) The vampire politics are different in the series too. It's not as modern, and it's actually quite feudal. Eric is way more important in the books, everyone bows to him and calls him "Master". Even Pam.
@dbritton41 Eric's position is a difficult one in the books. We're in the 11th book, and Eric and Sookie are together for now. They are married, and they love each other. But there are other forces threatening to break their relationship by the end of this last book. I've read the second chapter of the 12nd book, and they're still together there, although I don't know if their relationship will survive in this next book. I'm sure Sookie will fight for him, though. I have hope for them.
@Albolu grrr.. for some reason i'm not getting notifications in my inbox to tell me i've got a comment waiting for me. i just stumbled upon this comment @ me. omg so really?? in the books eric and sookie are married?? okay, i'm officially going to start reading the books tonight!! so i wonder who is trying to break up their marriage.. hmm. oh, i hope their marriage survives. thanks for all that info. :)
@dbritton41 Yes, they are married by the vampire ritual. Vamps call it a pledge. But Eric calls her 'wife', and she calls him 'husband'. Sookie didn't really know what she was doing (Eric is VERY high-handed) and she was livid at first, but by the 11st book she's ready to fight for their marriage. They really love each other. ;-)
You'll see, after reading the books you won't even recognize the plots in the TV series. Alan Ball is clearly writing fan fiction for True Blood. u_u
@PeaceLoveDramaFreak lol It's a little more complicated than that and there are some external forces trying to mess everything up in the 11st book, but yes, kind of. Sookie didn't really know what she was doing, and Eric in all his high-handedness, made her pledge to him to protect her from another character, but they've made it work, at least until now (don't know what will happen in the 12nd book). By now, Eric refers to her as his wife and Sookie thinks of him as her husband. I hope it lasts.
@PeaceLoveDramaFreak Bill is around. He's become a good friend to Sookie. He NEVER becomes King, though. He never ranks above Area 5 investigator, which is directly under Eric's orders. The fact that he's King in the TV series is laughable. Sophie-Anne (who isn't an immature brat) is Queen until book 8, when the vampire King of Nevada performs a hostile take-over, killing the Queen and all the sheriffs. He spares Eric because he's the strongest, most powerful and most profitable of the sheriffs.
@PeaceLoveDramaFreak Bill never tries to kill any of his superiors either. He's not dumb. Had he attempted to kill Eric or Sophie-Anne in the books, he would have ended up dead. Either Eric himself, Pam or any of the Queen's bodyguards (her progenies) would have taken him out immediately. He's a good soldier, and he rises above his personal feelings towards Eric and obeys his orders without question or protest. He's actually loyal and reliable. I think I like him better in the books. ;-)
@PeaceLoveDramaFreak Nothing. As I said, he's a loyal underling. He protects Sookie, both because he loves her and under Eric's orders. In book 10, he asks her if she loves Eric. Sookie says yes, and then he asks if Eric says he loves her too. Again she answers yes. Then he says that he wishes Eric would die, some nights. She says she wishes some people dead too, but to please not wish anything bad on Eric.
He keeps telling her he loves her and stuff, but he never does anything ungentlemanly.
@Albolu but not until the next book after this season.. is what someone told me. i really should read the books.. i think that's the route i will need to go to get the ending i want.. alex skarsgard is just so incredibly yummy to watch though.. lol .. guess, i can read the books and watch the series.
@dbritton41 they don't specifically mention that it's Eric's vampire sister, but there have been press releases about casting for her and that she's a double-agent within the authority. It also explains how eric was immediately exonerated in the disappearance of the magister and was given authoritization to kill russell.
@FragilexDesires Gtfo! let me get this right you just compared bill and eric (TB) to spike and angel(Buffy) seriously you are 110% retarded my friend. LOOOOOOOOOOOl everyone call me a troll you know its true.
@FragilexDesires I don't care if I get flamed but Bill and Eric almost remind me of Spike and Angel, the way they both have a thing for pretty blondes and they work well together, even though they despise one another.
this was the best scene of the entire last season!! now that sookie is out of his life I want bill to be a man, and take control., I actually would like to see both of them work togther they would be a killer vampire pair!!!
Bill Compton is at his sexy when he mad ,pisst or jealous ....i love that line ...! i also love the eye contact that Bill and Eric have ...Bill Compton Rules That scence ....he just rules it ...
@Crerusha Joke. Just a joke about Bill and Eric comforting each other. But I do suspect they will be working together in S5 to save both of their necks. And don't steal my ideas and post them somewhere else as yours. I saw.
I love this scene. The absolute bs they spout making it sound like they don't care about Sookie but immediately eric scanned the guards to take them out and that distraction gave bill time to get the stake and take nan out. They work together well and yes I think that eric has some respect for bill now. They make a great team and looks like they will still try to keep sookie safe.
I have a feeling that Eric and Bill come after they feel her intense pain (and scream) and Eric (as his blood's much more stronger than Bill's) gives Tara his blood.
Who the fuck dug up Russell?

dbritton41 1 month ago
@dbritton41 In the series, maybe. In the books it's a slower process. ;-) The vampire politics are different in the series too. It's not as modern, and it's actually quite feudal. Eric is way more important in the books, everyone bows to him and calls him "Master". Even Pam.
Albolu 1 month ago

dbritton41 1 month ago
@dbritton41 Yes, they are married by the vampire ritual. Vamps call it a pledge. But Eric calls her 'wife', and she calls him 'husband'. Sookie didn't really know what she was doing (Eric is VERY high-handed) and she was livid at first, but by the 11st book she's ready to fight for their marriage. They really love each other. ;-)
You'll see, after reading the books you won't even recognize the plots in the TV series. Alan Ball is clearly writing fan fiction for True Blood. u_u

@Albolu omgggg soo sookie marries eric in the book :DDDD
PeaceLoveDramaFreak 1 month ago
@PeaceLoveDramaFreak lol It's a little more complicated than that and there are some external forces trying to mess everything up in the 11st book, but yes, kind of. Sookie didn't really know what she was doing, and Eric in all his high-handedness, made her pledge to him to protect her from another character, but they've made it work, at least until now (don't know what will happen in the 12nd book). By now, Eric refers to her as his wife and Sookie thinks of him as her husband. I hope it lasts.
Albolu 1 month ago
@Albolu oh lol but what happened to Bill ???
PeaceLoveDramaFreak 1 month ago
@PeaceLoveDramaFreak Bill is around. He's become a good friend to Sookie. He NEVER becomes King, though. He never ranks above Area 5 investigator, which is directly under Eric's orders. The fact that he's King in the TV series is laughable. Sophie-Anne (who isn't an immature brat) is Queen until book 8, when the vampire King of Nevada performs a hostile take-over, killing the Queen and all the sheriffs. He spares Eric because he's the strongest, most powerful and most profitable of the sheriffs.
Albolu 1 month ago
@PeaceLoveDramaFreak Bill never tries to kill any of his superiors either. He's not dumb. Had he attempted to kill Eric or Sophie-Anne in the books, he would have ended up dead. Either Eric himself, Pam or any of the Queen's bodyguards (her progenies) would have taken him out immediately. He's a good soldier, and he rises above his personal feelings towards Eric and obeys his orders without question or protest. He's actually loyal and reliable. I think I like him better in the books. ;-)
Albolu 1 month ago
@Albolu lol i mean like what happened to bill in the book when sookie married eric
PeaceLoveDramaFreak 1 month ago
@PeaceLoveDramaFreak Nothing. As I said, he's a loyal underling. He protects Sookie, both because he loves her and under Eric's orders. In book 10, he asks her if she loves Eric. Sookie says yes, and then he asks if Eric says he loves her too. Again she answers yes. Then he says that he wishes Eric would die, some nights. She says she wishes some people dead too, but to please not wish anything bad on Eric.
He keeps telling her he loves her and stuff, but he never does anything ungentlemanly.

@Albolu but not until the next book after this season.. is what someone told me. i really should read the books.. i think that's the route i will need to go to get the ending i want.. alex skarsgard is just so incredibly yummy to watch though.. lol .. guess, i can read the books and watch the series.
dbritton41 2 months ago
@dbritton41 We still don't know if Eric and Sookie will end up together, mind you. It's kind of the only thing that makes sense, but who knows...
And yes, Alex is amazing to watch. ;-)
Read the books, please. You will be surprised at how different they are from the show. ;-) And Eric is so different too...
Albolu 2 months ago
@Tatah2100 thanks for the info.
dbritton41 2 months ago
@dbritton41 they don't specifically mention that it's Eric's vampire sister, but there have been press releases about casting for her and that she's a double-agent within the authority. It also explains how eric was immediately exonerated in the disappearance of the magister and was given authoritization to kill russell.

@FragilexDesires I don't care if I get flamed but Bill and Eric almost remind me of Spike and Angel, the way they both have a thing for pretty blondes and they work well together, even though they despise one another.

@Crerusha Joke. Just a joke about Bill and Eric comforting each other. But I do suspect they will be working together in S5 to save both of their necks. And don't steal my ideas and post them somewhere else as yours. I saw.

hshreyasee 5 months ago
I love this scene. The absolute bs they spout making it sound like they don't care about Sookie but immediately eric scanned the guards to take them out and that distraction gave bill time to get the stake and take nan out. They work together well and yes I think that eric has some respect for bill now. They make a great team and looks like they will still try to keep sookie safe.
