  • The Edge has his own unmistakeable style. I love the spin he puts on this classic song. I didn't even mind Fergie.

  • bono looks boring compared to mick jagger

  • Y la tenían que echar a perder, vdd pendejos??!!!

  • bljak

  • i think i saw a bitch just spoiled a 43-year old master piece song

  • An interesting take on an old classic. I appreciate that Mick tried to recreate a little of the original's sound and fury by using Fergie, but there is only one Merry Clayton and Fergie can't hold a candle to her.

  • fergie is so hot its stupid

  • Its a easy bet to say Mick was wondering how he ever let himself get talked into doing this great song with people who no matter how hard they tried could NEVER come close to the greatness of the Rolling Stonesl Not to mention poor Fergie, WTF was she thinking trying to sing like Lisa Fisher? Not on her best day x's a thousand! Obvious how Mick felt about the performance by the length of time it took him to get off the stage.

  • @skywardism ohhhh, .... the purists comments ... yes, Massa

  • U2, keep on doing whatever you're doing, but stay out of rock'n roll!

  • That was the most pathetic drumming ever.

  • wtf is that rock'n'roll shit doing in this song? It ruined it completely

  • 01:48 : give me the ear plugs !! and I must not say more...

  • @tohstarobaqui here are your ear plugs (and a blindfold). ignorant.

  • fergie is good but she aint no lisa

  • @austirol There is no other Lisa Fisher, period!

  • i like the song and U2 and Fergie but they shouldnt have been in the song....

  • THIS IS A MUSICKKKKK (y)

  • @ rureadyboots .Couldn`t agree more .Where the fuck U2 got a big reputation from I dunno .

Maybe it was from insomniacs who recommended them as a cure for insomnia .

I thought Fergie did a good job (`cause I`d like to get her in`da cot)'

And Mick ? Well I love da` Stones ,but Mick was off with his singing ,but I`m giving him full points for having more hair now than when he started out at 18 .(yeah it IS his hair ! ) :)

  • fergie, will I.A.M, jagger, U2. Oh sir bob what did you start

  • I think Fergie was excellent in this and that U2 did an awesome job backing up Mick, plus, Bono's singing was great.

  • Fergie.....what the fuck?

  • Fuck off U2 your shit. Your only liked by middle class wankers

  • Boobgrab at 4 minutes

  • lol..... fergie at 4:08. i guess the moves from mick jagger had her stumped

  • What the fuck is Edge doing over the top? You can get away with it over a U2 song but not over the Rolling Stones you wooly hat wanker

  • They made it a big jangly u2 song. damn

  • GREAT song and GREAT job by all artists...especially Fergie! She sounded great, looked great masterfully worked the stage and the audience and artistically captured the essense of this song 40 years after it was released!

  • The Edge SUCKS. Gimme Keef!

  • Hmmmm...The Edge really messed up the intro. This is one of those songs where if there's only one thing you can get right this has to be intro.

  • jagger a larger than life icon, kick everyone ass here ,

  • @MrSepulcro66 right. lame party... and than JAGGER INC

  • Fergie literally one centimeter from showing the world ... I THINK she's wearing panties?

  • Replace the Edge with Zakk Wylde and watch this same performance soar.

  • Bono stinks

  • Fergie should have been a rock singer cuz she is so much better at it than the crap the black eyed peas put out.

  • I like this version. Nobody can top Merry Clayton but Fergie does a great job. It's different but still good.

  • Shit, nothing can touch the orginal. Some things should never even be attempted.

  • Comment removed

  • tempo is too slow guitar blegh fergie is good but lisa fisher well nobody can touch her

  • Fergie is not a Lisa Fischer...........that was just sad..

  • oh my god the edge,u see? u2 dont play rock n' roll

  • I love U2. And I think it´s obvious they could make a more accurate version of the original. Beside that, fergie is good... but... go and listen the version of the 40 anniversary of the stones. Lisa Fisher´s voice made the stadium shake

Long live the stones.

  • Fergie is the weakest link...

  • This is just the wrong combination of people doing this song... Mick needs to stick with the Stones. This is not working at all. Fergie, omg..just go home, you are no match for Mick....go watch Christina sing with Mick, now that works!

  • I was like, WTF is this Fergie lady. Had to wiki her.

  • It's funny how this video ends and there is a suggested video of the Stones awful performance of this song at the Radio City Music Hall Concert. Haters should head on over.

  • replay, replay, replay...

  • Fergie is everywhere !

  • esplota esto ta que arde jajaja

  • I don't get why the hell everyone is bitching about U2's performance on this one. They were putting their spin on the song. They're weren't trying to sound like the circa 60s Stones. They were trying to sound like U2.

  • The problem is Fergie herself and all rotten peas there. I dont understand why such magnificent musicians share the stage with averse band like peas.

  • Comment removed

  • There's one major problem with this version and it's called Bono. Don't get me wrong, I like U2, but his vocal performance is just annoying. At 1:49 I'm really searching for shelter...

  • 3:26 bono fucks up but plays it cool

  • urrrghh, KILL IT!!!! WITH FIRE!!!

  • I want to know why people say that Mick Jagger is old.

  • @MurciellagoSV Maybe because he is 68 years old??

  • @caravaggio31 Just... Try to understand the context.

  • @MurciellagoSV I did that, maybe you didn't mine :-) Yep, he is still great.

  • @caravaggio31 Yeah, for sure. I didn't understand your "funny" way to say that. ;)

Sorry for that, and sorry for my 'bad' english.

  • 4:12 stifler's dance :)))

  • I,m sorry but Lisa Fischer is by far the better voice for this song.

  • I could see Mick moving in for the shift after they started singing just a kiss away..

  • i just stumbled across this , mick jagger and fergie , i thought it was sarah ferguson , ex-royal sticking her head in for some reason

  • Mick Jagger couldn't dance in 1969.

In 40 years, he hasn't gotten any better.

  • jfc will someone please feed Mick Jagger a biscuit?

  • @GreenlikeaBean the problem here is that mick is used to be on top of the performance, and U2 performances are usually low in energy. Watch Fergie performance, she's more close to Mick's one

  • Thats why they make the big bucks. Fun for eyes and ears.

  • Fergie sings well, but sorry, she is far away from Lisa Fisher

  • U2 WATCH AND LEARN.maybe one day you may be good.

  • 5.08: Bono definitely checking out Ms ferguson's chassis!

  • fergie must have been having a good day - she's not always that accurate. i Do like her voice though (and maybe not only the voice)....

Mick: same age as my dad: don't see my dad doing that ! tremendous respect.

    U2 Monumantal band.

  • This song needs thump of the stones, sorry U2.

  • I'm tempted to give it a thumbs down. Can't give it a thumbs up. Fergie is giving it her all, Jagger is walking through it, and who the f&ck was the band playing behind them?????

  • Boy U2 ruined this version!!! They put me to sleep. They're so soft and gentle, this song was meant to rock! Props to fergie and Mick:)

  • This is fun, but rather weak, version of this song. It sounds almost folksy with U2 playing it. I prefer the harder edge the Stones give it.

  • fergie = hot.

  • Bono should take his fucking band into permanent exile in an unknown country. They can't play.

And ... Fergie doesn't have the lungs of Lisa Fischer.

    I agree with Bobplawyer.

  • Fergie здесь явно лишняя! А так классно!!!!!!

  • 4Ver the remembering (NAM = 'live to remember do not forget our heroes!))

Hear the Stones . and do not forget WHAT/our NAM !s!

    So sorry !

  • COOL!

  • yuck U2, they sold there soul to the devil ages ago.

  • Jagger has become a charicature of himself.

  • Fergie has a great voice. She could be a very good R&R singer.

  • With proper backing guitars, like Keith Richards and Mick Taylor (or Ron Wood), and drums by Charlie Watts, this would have been magnificent. The backing band failed with this one. Fergie was great, but give me Lisa Fisher anytime. Her voice is really explosive. Let's face it, only the Rolling Stones can perform this song the way it's meant to be performed.

  • @Bobplawyer I disagree. I think that the simmering calm U2 creates lends even more credence to the explosiveness of Mick Jagger's presence, AND come on, who knew Fergie could have pulled off her part so well. They both have great on stage chemistry. You have to admit it's a great moment in Rock 'n' Roll.

That said, of course you can't touch the original version, but this is a magic moment nonetheless.

  • I had no idea this existed? U2 suddenly aint so gay? Fergie? 2 thumbs up,wayy up lol!

  • Something is not right here... proper guitar players are missing.

  • BUT ROLLING STONES <3

  • FAIL U2 bAND

  • The Edge gives a haunting eeriness to the opening guitar riff as Keith dose on the studio version.

  • we all know it it's alright they will get it one day.

  • The original guitar part was just way too complicated for Edge, so he had to play a simplified tab. Oh, and never heard him put delay effects on to make it seem like he's playing more than he actually does. Oh no wait, he does that every song. I had high hopes coming into this video, but Edge ruined it for me.

  • this made me cry tears of joy!

  • the edge is pathetic compared with keith

  • @javigonzado this was not a popularirity contest

  • @platter1000 pathetic playing the guitar;)

  • @javigonzado it wasn't the guitar i was looking at...more like fergie and her outfit and mick the man.

still a good performance overall...i think

  • my fav stones song!

  • HATE Fergie's voice

  • Right this is an ambomination. THese people have no business sharing a stage with that level of Magnitude. I love how they open up to the Guitar section and it has ZERO KIETH RICHARDS PUNCH. Rediculus.

  • nobody has the presence of Jagger

  • WTF is that Fergie dishrag doing amongs those greats?

  • This could've been a lot more awesome.

  • That was awesome!

  • Traumhaftes Video!

gegen die beiden anderen wirkt Bono fehl am Platz

  • Without a doubt one of the greatest musical gatherings I've ever witness. When I was 8 my dad

played saxaphone at the Fountainbleau Hotel in Miami Beach. I got to see Sinatra,Martin,Davis.Lawford referred to as the rat pack. This was from 1 in the morning till the sun came up. This is kind of what I compared this to, awesome........

  • aye cheers for taking a big dump all over that bono

  • It takes mighty cojones to step into Lisa Fischer's shoes. Hats off to Fergie for that and for a pretty good job singing too.

  • Bono is a Tool!

  • I was 9 when the Stones played Satisfaction, Mick was and is the greatest rock frontman of alltime.Sorry Boner you will never be jagger

  • Look at this video three different decades of music represented by all the musicians.

    Stones on tour in 2012?????

  • Look at this video three different decades of music represented by all the musicians

  • my respect for fergie just went way way up

  • @cyberpett

Yes, mine too. She has a stronger voice than I'd realised and seems to be actually putting effort in and everything

  • it's not exactly what I expected.

    I'm going back to original.

  • Cindy would have kicked fergies ass -__-

  • Possibly Mick Jagger is the weak link?(his vocals have always been overrated)-and I am saying that being a Stones fan!

  • Best two rock groups ever. Haters gonna hate.

  • This is a crap version. Bono should stick with his own music. He is not in the same league with Mick Jagger.

  • @honestman43 I actually read somewhere that there was a slight feud building between Bono and Jagger before the show because Jagger told Bono U2 was nothing more than an overrated garage band...

  • @wickedcurve Wow! That hopefully took some of the air out of his over-inflated ego. Not saying that Jagger doesn't have one either though.

  • fergie is from the black eyed peas !!!! watch the video and wii i am is also their ...

  • ¡Diooos! en algún universo paralelo quiero ser Mick Jagger ¡por favor!

  • this is the shit!

  • Fergie is Stacy Ferguson from the tv show Kids Incorporated. See her as a young girl on youtube...she knew what she wanted to do a long time ago.

  • This is heaps good!

  • fergie =hot!

  • Fergie gives me a boner!!!!!!!

  • Mick owns the stage, the house and rock and roll....please!!!!.... the fucking guy is glorious 66 !!! Respects to Mick Jagger. Amazing

  • Jagger's energy is amazing. He's what, 66 here? Among these stars he's like a super nova.

  • 1:30-1:35 I love that Mick is like singing in Bono's face and Bono is still being a typical Bono and being all serious and can't hava good time.

  • mick totally owns that stage!

  • Bono blew it!

  • Fucking Bono full of his own self importance...

  • Go Fergie. She is phat!

  • a voz do Mick é algo de... incrível! eita!

  • Fergie is so consumed with herself and her own performance she over does things now with sexual movements all over the shop! But then I guess thats FAME, unless you have good people close to you, you can (like Fergie) get caught in the fame vaccuum, get sucked up your own backside and start masturbating over your own existence and fall in love with self obsession and vanity! Nice body she's got although I guarantee a facelift by 35ish!

  • why Fergie says "War and Children, it's just a shot away" ? She has the chance to sing this song with U2 and Mick and she destroys it ! Shame on her !

  • This is truly a very special performance.

  • Fucking awesome dude !!!!!

  • There are such idiots to coment this incredible performance. Every one it´s diferent but it always fantastic.

  • TERRRIBLE!!!!!

  • The difference between the original version (Stones-Fischer) and this one set straight the difference between a group of musicians and a bunch of popstars wannabe. U2 = most overestimated band ever.

  • @Desus80 there is no estimate, they've broken pretty much every record therefore it's been proved that they're one of the greatest, along with the Beatles and the Stones. Keep your opinion out of the facts.

  • @MrDrephd Breaking records doesn't mean you're great. The most viewed video on the net is a guy who gets a nutshot. Quantity doesn't mean quality. And that's a fact.

  • @Desus80

    with the Red Hot

  • Comment removed

  • hey, the girl did a good job.... but it´s understood that lisa fisher owns this entire masterpiece.... as a u2 fan i hate to admit..... awful job by the irish

  • Stones sound much better. No question.

  • the edge solo sucked

  • Keith Richars and Lisa Fisher: much needed on this one

  • old version is better

  • Mic is a rock god!!! Love U2 and Fergie, too -- outstanding performance!! :)))

  • love the sound of the guitars of edge and bono, they rule

  • Jagger straight dogged that chic girl out!!!

  • Fergie sucks. She has the vocal talents of the drunken floozie at the karoke bar- and this performance proves it. Embarrassing. And as usual, U2 proves themselves to be a mediocre/ over rated boring band.

  • @sniffnthetears1 It's clear that you are a real expert in music talents. Fergie, karaoke girl, u2 mediocre band... so you wanna tell us something 'bout mick jagger? We dont hawe all you knowledge.... Continue to sniff yor tears man.

  • @vertigo0976

One thing I do have you definitely don't: basic spelling ability/command of the English language when typing. Come back when you can learn to spell correctly/able to communicate in somewhat correct English. It's okay, I remember my first beer too!

  • @sniffnthetears1 Uuuuuh.

Sorry for my english but i think you have understood very well my words.

    Dont u?

  • Comment removed

  • i thought fergie would be better, she's kinda whack...without meaning to quote simon cowell, it was like watching bad kareoke

  • lófasz ez a fördzsi

  • U2 doing the rolling stones...WOW!!!

  • bono completly fucked this up with the blues-riff he plays it sounds like crap.

  • @RockChannelEurope

Its not just bono doing it. Its the edge aswell. So it was planned

  • @Cazzo7s it just sucked xD, its just stupid, fergie is ok, but bono and the edge just fucked the song.

  • @RockChannelEurope

true, its funny how edge is playing the blues line and bono is using edge's playing style from the rattle and hum and achtung baby album

  • @tequilasunrisz your'e right, but the edge plays it kinda like mick taylor, he plays the blues riff to, but its kind off put to the back-ground, but this is just stupid.
