  • good vid i have one myself and love it to death, great gun.

  • thanx for the tips love this video hope i improve my groupings

  • Wow ! This guy has that thing under control ! When I shot a .40 that thing had quite the snap but this guy makes it look like a .22... NICE ganna try this at the range asap

  • He makes it look like he's shooting a rimfire! Seriously impressed!

  • The video is about the GUN, not the faces of the instructors. Freaking camera guy is all over the place when he needed to be focusing on the gun and hand placement.

  • I'm here to watch a SR40 being shot - my next purchase will be a .40 cal. I didn't come here for shooting techniques. That said, after replaying this vid 7 times, Greg from VATA Group is one highly motivated, badass instructor. I may not agree with his flared out elbows technique (gets you killed easily in paintball, which makes you wonder about what rapid fired real bullets would do coming at you), but it's a pure thrill watching a jedi knight of his craft show you how he does it.

  • @MaximGhost I think the elbows technique might be a technique learned from the compatition shooting arena. It's just a hunch and seems logical. I could be wrong. Compatition shooting, you aren't being shot back at.

  • The dude is like a yoga master for shooting. Awesome vid!

  • Just a great video, I'm using this technique with great success and getting more (deadly consistent) patterns in rapid fire. by the way I get the sweep or scan,,train to fight and fight like you trained,,excellent job. SR40c owner

  • @jgrdonquixote Do you always go everywhere with the rest of your team? Must make daily life a bit of a chore...

Hint: stateside, if you don't have back up on call, you rely on just yourself.

Thank you for your service, but keep it into perspective champ.

  • i love this gun. just bought a week ago.

  • Dear Ruger,

Please come out with the Sr40c

  • @h8rzhate THey just did!!! hurray!

  • @h8rzhate They just have! :-)

  • Good pointer, I'm just getting into handgun shooting and this will help.

  • It is a great pistol, shot mine for the 1st time today and loved it very easy to handle

  • @TheNeanderthaller You're talking about over half the guns on the market.

  • Lulz. This is essentially a ruger promo video and the firearms instructor (Greg) is wearing a Glock.

    GO GLOCK!

  • Just got this today! Can't wait to shoot it!

  • Great tips! Thanks for posting!

  • GREAT tips on how to manage recoil. Thanks!!

  • Must... get... this gun. WHERE'S THE SR40C!?!?!

  • Love the SR40 just wish they had it in the OD Green. Very nice pistol going shooting with it in the morning.

  • @rednoseroxy I thought the same exact thing brother.

  • Thumbs Up ^

  • Good demonstration of shooting technique

  • @mattvanhugenstein You should be banned from watching youtube videos. You have no clue about cjecking for threats prior to holstering. If your not ready to take gun fighting serious take a walk buddy....

  • @LOMROB You're just a sensative guy arn't ya? Its a beginners recoil demonstration, not a Go To War video, it made me laugh and thats my comment in the comments section : )

  • @mattvanhugenstein You're an idiot. Go play your Xbox or Playstation I believe thats more your cup of tea sweet heart.

  • Waiting on the SR45 next. I need to let my XD45 get some sleep.

  • @twisted62380 Do you know if they are making one?

  • @bsg1206

I have no clue if Ruger is making a SR45...but that would be a very nice and profitable addition to the SR line. It should have the same mag capacity that of a Glock 21 and XD45 ( 13+1 ) to have good competition.

  • @twisted62380 Yeah I would like that very much

  • Excellent!!

  • @mattvanhugenstein - Not sure if you are deserve an answer on such an asstastic post but for anyone else out there who may be curious...

The point of any training is commiting your actions to muscle memory. The point of scanning after you shoot is so that you WILL do it when it counts. The instructor featured is not a sporting weekend type. When he shoots anything he practices as if his life depends on it. In his line of work, it does.

  • @zonblitz Train like you fight, fight like you train. Good job

  • @zonblitz Clerly I thought this was a beginners video and that part made me chuckle. So by taking it out of context you were offended, whoops : )

  • Do you know WHY he did what he did? Are you threatened by his badassery or something? You would be surprised, there are plenty of very humble firearms instructors out there that have nothing but OUR best interests at heart. A happy firearms instructor is one that successfully teaches his students so that they may defend their own lives or the lives of others. Beyond that, if a shooter learns something, the teacher is just as happy even if its only ever used in a sporting capacity...

  • Ruger! Stop making such attractive, accurate and amazing guns! You are going to make me broke. :)

  • I love the sr platform, but no compact and no blackened stainless...... i'm actually kinda dissappoinnted. However it does look like a very stable shooter

  • @vabch82 I'm sure the blackened and compact will come soon.

  • i have been waiting for the sr in 4o cal

  • Yes!, SR40! I love ruger, I have the LCP 380 and the SR9, i thought about getting the SR9c But i can see now, my next Ruger with be the SR40!!

Congrats Ruger, and i hope, and cant wait for the future.... May be a SR45?!?!? Heheh
