@CourtyardPigeon The original owner/founder of Land Rover was brilliant. He had his designs flawless. Sadly, he dismounted from his company and it went to shit. This was all decades ago.
@xposr2vicious whats so cool about a land rover? you buy it and cant do anything to it so basically anyone with money can get one and brag cuz they can drive thru a puddle or two
Everyone is forgetting the real issue of land rovers. Its not that they are not good off road. Its the fact they have the worst reliability issues of any company since Yugo.
@craveman85 you may be able to do it with your ford ranger but the land rover does it so much easier and in a more comfortable manner, it gives you the confidence to try anything.
@TheGatorfun nope. doesnt look like it does it any easier. and id have all of the thousands of dollars more you spent to buy gas and other fun things.
@Hobbydude1974 O hellllll yeah. I had an 88 bronco, I hit a telephone pole and reversed and drove it away with no damage, same cannot be said for the Rover. And not to mention Ford as the best truck out by far.....THE RAPTOR!!!!!
@leabuelo Dude take the big fat cock out of your asshole or mouth because I can tell it doesn't matter to you and shut the fuck up. Noone was talking to you, we were simply stating that Bronco's are bullet proof.
its the off road pack on a cayyene, it locks rear diff and transfer box. the oz test would have been a std car which however has a very intelligent TB.
I love LR dont get me wrong, i race them, i trial them and i own them, however i work for porsche and when put in the same conditions the cayenne out performs, LR3, Merc, BMW and any other 4x4, its hill climbing is 2nd to none. then there is its rally performance like on trans syberian rally
@CrispinProctor69 Don't say ballshit!!! They were all in good control except for one person in a silver LR that went up the hill a bit to fast between 1:45 & 1:49.
@CrispinProctor69 Mate your a fucking wanker. You obviously have never been in a Landrover nor driven one. The D3/4 Discovery is one of if not the most capable 4 wheeler on the market. Landcruisers still haven't evolved yet......sort of like not fully formed human, still a little caveman....whereas the Disco is an Android! From the future......YEah Baby!
Firstly, your spelling resembles that of an un-evolved human. Do not confuse "you're" with "your". Fool. If this statement just confused you, my point is made.
Secondly - I did not say anything about LR, merely the drivers. LR are extremely capable vehicles. However, they are unreliable. Remind me what the UN uses in Africa as vehicles? Have a look at any real 4x4 overlanding (I mean real, not weekend warriors) and tell me which is more common. I'll wave as I trundle past in my LC.
@TheNgr123 Porsche Cayenne with PST 2, decoupling ARBs and clever traction, none of this shit selecting what terrain its on. Bitch if you like but with Porsches money and design skill, its a far more capable car and very fast on the road.
Well, interestingly the Porsche Cayenne in the Australian 4 wheel drive media is not classed as a real 4 wheel drive, but an SUV. The Land Rover out classed it. Speed is one thing and I tip my hat to Porsche & also the design, but it is not on the money for it's 4x4 system. The LR you can select terain or override the system to how you drive. What's PST2....is that from Nintendo?
@charandeep1000 what the hell. That's ridiculous. Here I could buy a used land rover LR3 for 26'000 canadian. I have a friend who use to live in africa and said that the cost of vehicles there were ridiculously high (not sure if this applies to kenya). Even parts or repairs were almost as much as the vehicle itself.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Just think what those could do with some better tires. I wish we could get the diesel version over here in the US. But my V8 still does alright.
I dont like the new look of the new LR3. I liked the Discovery 2 better. It's much more distinguishable on the road as a Land Rover. This new model looks too "suburban. It's comparable to an Infinity. It loses it's authentic Land Rover look. Also the Discovery 2 outclasses the LR3 in the bush. The LR3. Yet another dissapointment from Land Rover. Why do they keep doing this? They need to get back more to thier British African Safari roots.
I have a 2006 LR3 HSE. It's all Land Rover, believe me. Two weeks ago my wife and I took 4 hours to travel 6 miles alone the Banie Mine Road near Prescott, AZ. I had it in Rock Crawl all the way. It may look a little fluffy, but it's all Land Rover. Believe me, I have the pin stripes to prove it.
great to see them being used
