Most humans have a 3 octave voice - they have their normal voice - and can hit notes one octave higher and one octave lower!!! John Denver was born with - NOT ONLY - a "Pitch Perfect" voice (he was ALWAYS "on key" and once tuned an RCA studio piano - (Pianos have 7 octaves) using ONLY his voice!!) - but he also was born with a 5 octave voice!! Sometimes - God just give some people all they need to have a truly womderful career for the rest of us to enjoy!! Thank You - God and John Denver!
And NONE of the GENIUS LEVEL record execs - from THREE different record compnies - decided to film/video this concert?????? Why does that NOT surprise me??????
I have this entire concert on a taped bootleg , I am needing to put it on CD ,burn it ,but right now it is in three cass tapes.I have a friend who was there and taped the whole concert. They did this concert to raise money for hunger.I will make it available to those who would truly enjoy it and pass it on.my email is bakerpetelee@yahoo.com.Thank you for posting this
Wow! Just...wow! I never knew these four shared a stage. I was raised on Gordon Lightfoot and John Denver, introduced to JT in my early teens and found Chapin in college. This was just really awesome!
Jeez,Denver had an incredible voice. That falsetto is just plain freaky. This concert would have been awesome.Alas I was only 10 at the time.Oh well,I bet Harry & JD are jammin' in Heaven.
WoW ..This was my 1st concert at 17..@ Olympia Stadium..was great..LOL the parking sucked..The concert was in the round..and we all had great seats...great memories...Thanks...
My husband and I attended this concert....I was 6 mos pregnant with our daughter Elizabeth (now 33 years old) We have been married 38 yrs now and will never forget that we sacrificed the grocery money to buy those tickets! But we lived on love in those days..Thanks for the memories!!! I shared this with my daughter tonight,. I can't believe someone had a recording of that great night, it was like being there again!
This was the Greatest Concert I have ever gone to. It was performed in the round so there really wasn't a bad seat. James Taylor was added to replace Carly Simon. It was a blast. Thanks so much for keeping it alive.
I had the chance to go to this performance but passed on it. I'm still kicking myself to this day for that stupid decision. What an awesome foursome to have on one stage.
That night Talyor added something to the end of everyone of his songs. When Harry finished 2000 lbs Denver refused to follow and that's when Taylor got up and did Steamroller.
Remember the ending of Taylor's steam roller blues. Then there is 2000 lbs., we rocked didn't we. Lightfoot's Edmund Fitz, what a night. We got our tickets at the last minute. Haven't seen a concert that can compare. Thanks for recording. I remember walking by somebody playing it back. You were on top of things. Thank you.
I am glad that I ran across this awesome recording, I can remember the four getting togeather for this concert long ago. I actually saw everyone except James Taylor perform here and it was a magical time-there is no one like them. I saw Chapin twice and after each concert he would hangout in the lobby to talk to his fans and let them get pictures. Thanks for helping preserve this!
Would have loved to have heard this without all the damned yammering and chattering. This is NOT how you tape a concert. Next time you have a chance to record a miracle, for God's sake, SHUT UP.
Sorry but I don't have the entire show. Anyway I have 6 tracks from this concert - I got them from a local friend a couple of months ago. If you want them I can send them to you.

John, Gordon are two of my faves also...and I LOVE the song Taxi, also!
John was definately one of the best singers in the world, and, of course,Freddy Mercury, rest in peace, John, Freddy, and Harry.

I did not know these three (my three all time favorites) shared a stage. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this clip.

@simbatj Many of these musicians would play together especially where Harry was involved whether it was a benefit concert or a protest of some sort

@112bluebell: Have "Cat's in the Cradle" from this concert - will possibly do that when my internet service runs steadily.
