  • This was ExpressJet 2816. They were suppose to go from IAH-MSP but due to storms they diverted to Rochester MN. But Mesaba did not go out to get them so they were stuck for over 6 hours on the ramp

Although Mesaba ground messed up. I would blame the Dispatcher and the PIC. Dispatcher decided to use Rochester Airport as an alternate. THe PIC messed up because she was not being a PIC.

  • the pilot should exercised his authority as PILOT IN COMMAND and declared an emergency.

but then again....look at what airline this was.....they're all shitty and poorly trained and poorly paid.

  • can someone explain whats happening here?

  • I've spent 6 years on a continental plane in Newark. I counted 65 planes in front of us/behind us

  • and what would happen if you got up and left? kind seems like they got kidnapped

  • 1:07 Left Main Gear

  • @CO738ify then id jump, the door is like a meter off the tarmac as is

  • For the people moaning about ads, get Firefox and get the free plugin Adblock plus. This isn't one of those spammy messages btw, just a genuine tip as not only does it block ads on websites, but also the ones at the start of youtube vids.

  • @jonny616 yeah, it works for google chrome too, its the best thing ever

  • @jonny616 Adblock Plus also works for Safari. I use it both with Firefox and Safari.

  • Hello.... Amtrak?

  • @DDunker51 what about a government sudsidized money pit?

  • I can't understand what happened.

  • hehe, the commercial before this videos was actually kind of funny :D

  • were is the video?

  • Bloody YouTube adverts

  • @GREENY7798 You could pay for youtube.

  • I would have hit the botton for the emergency slide, like the flight attendant that had had enough.

  • @bloodandwinearered im not sure about expressjet, but most RJ's have airstairs in the door, just fold down the door and walk off, unlike the Jetblue attendant who did not have such a luxury

  • Thanks for flying Cattle Trans.

  • you sure that is that a pilot???? :O

  • if this ever happened to me, i'd go back the next day with a bomb

  • @DVAFP hope you get killed first then

  • I HATE ADVERTISEMENT.

  • @oyuakpanggaksidik google doesnt care

  • yea that happened to me once.. it was a really bad storm. i got cold feet.. just had a bad feeling. we got off the plane and rented a car. at first they told me i couldnt.. get off.. I had a cast on my leg.. I said. we have been sitting here for one hour longer the actual flight is.. i can only sit for one hour at a time. if you dont allow me to disembark i may become paralized and your company will be held liable.. THEY LET ME OFF..

  • @eresfsfsfsf how did you sleep then?

  • I would love to hear the airport officials explanation as to why it was impossible to let the passengers disembark! Make it fuckin happen!!!!

  • uummm sorry to say that was kindoff wierd

  • @ncheriyan cmon man If you put in trains in it will cost millions of dollars, put thousands of pilots out of job while crushing their dream, and it will destroy every commercial airline and killing americas economy. Are trains a good idea now?

  • can i get my fully refunded money back for fare i paid in full bye not getting there on time you con honest airlines???

  • This is why the FAA changed US laws....This is inexcuseable...listen to the HUB coordinator come on the radio to the pilot..."not having a good evening here"....whiskey tango foxtrot, glad we can keep our cool in a pressure cooker! 'Rocket Chic"

  • Japanese Shinkansen trains are amazing. Wonder why US didn't catchup with it, despite us being a superpower.

  • @ncheriyan We give away all our money to the"poor" you know the people who walk all day in the malls with cell phones texting each other.

  • @matrix49A

Well Biden finally has announced plan for a major upgrade to US railway infrastructure that is quite ancient for the most part compared to the rest of the developed world (Japan, France, Singapore, Malaysia, and now even China). Hopefully it removes congestion on the interstates and improves the quality of American infrastructure that I feel is now stuck in the 50's.

  • I was on one for 4 hours on the runway, The toilet was overflowing with shit too.

  • @RichmanJ93 "4 hours on the runway"? The "runway"????? Typical public. Idioto.

  • @captainmorgan757 who the fuck are you to call me an idiot. fuck you.

  • @RichmanJ93 and your choice of words only affirm what I said. LOL

  • runway34r Have you ever ridden a HS rail train? I have, and in several countries. Rail is comfortable-much more room, easy to get up and walk around, generally a food service car of some sort. And more reliable than flying-weather almost never stops trains. As I stated-the SYSTEM has to be right (parking and rental cars at terminals @ decent prices) and there is no reason hS rail will not succeed at the right distances, 150 to 500 or 600 miles.

  • @cpovey1 You are right for 100% If the nations would invest as much money for railways as they do for fancy airports, we could even go 2000 miles with more comfort in the same overall time. Today, a train could be half as fast as an airliner at 30,000 ft. Vienna Munich is already faster with a slow train than with an aeroplane. I'm saving 4 hours of airport transfers, waiting queues and security checks just by taking a train.

  • It's called "opening the door", idiots.

  • @Mindraker1 It's called "safety regulations and FARs" idiot

  • @airlinephl2 Feel the love.

  • 0:01

  • The people on the radio all sound like numb idiots.

  • Call a bus.

  • I think what most people do not understand is that once your on the ground you are at the mercy of the airport AND TSA, not the airline. TSA won't let me, who is licensed by the FAA, had a 10 year background check by the company, FAA and FBI, who is allowed to take an airplane anywhere on the airfield, badged by the company, and entrusted by the flying public with thier lives, the TSA won't let me walk onto the ramp without a badge for that airport. Why do passengers think they will let them?

  • @embfixer well said. Most people here think its so simple to let them off.

  • i thought it was a learjet thats why i clicked the video

  • They got a free meal voucher for their next flight! What's the problem lol!!!!!

  • they gave me a free meal voucher once then put me on a flight where they offered no real food buying option and just a bag of peanuts and water.

  • Agreed with below

  • Hey LETHLSS...you douche-bag know-it-all. If that was the STRICT definition, everytime a cop makes an arrest, he'd be guilty of false imprisonment. Retard.

  • Pay your money, take your chances.... welcome to life people!

  • if that's a man, he's light in the loafers :)

  • I need to tell um something...ummm k...there's no food... ummm k.....lol that would suck..

  • Time for high-speed rail.

  • @duhCider No.

  • @duhCider How about no.

  • @duhCider Not enough people in the US will ride high speed rail. It won't work. The trains will be empty except for rail fans.

  • @pete5668 Ever ridden on the Northeast Corridor, the Chicago-Detroit high speed line, or Amtrak's California service? Not true. Those services are packed.

  • @warszawianka That's the only route that gets any ridership. The rest are underutilized.

  • @pete5668 I disagree. HS Rail is practical, pleasant way of getting places within a specific range of distances. Under 100 miles-cars are more efficient. Over 500 miles, planes work out better But from150-500 miles, HS trains are the fastest way of getting from place to place. Works great all over Europe. Train from NY to LA is stupid, but train from LA to SF or NY to DC is the way to go. They must be smart and build car big parking lots and have cheap car rentals available to finish trip.

  • @cpovey1 but look at it this way. When the idea of regional flying started, it seemed almost perfect. Enjoyable, fast, and reliable. Now look where we are. Overpaying for a miserable experience, only doing it for the speed. I agree with you that HS Rail is a good solution now, but wait a few years and we will be in the same mess.

  • @duhCider or trains with wings!

  • @cjellwood trains with wings? yikes, can you imagine 2 or more 737s coupled together? That would look strange.

  • @pete5668 Richard Branson did it to launch his space rocket lol

  • @duhCider Yeah 150 people on a 200 mph train running on 60 year old rails. Add one muslim twenty year old and a $500 jeep winch with one 12 volt battery hidden in the bush and what do you get?? LOTS OF DEAD PEOPLE

  • @matrix49A that was gineus good sir!

  • @duhCider then you have the bitch who parks the semi infront of the track...

  • 'False Imprisonment'

False Imprisonment is the intentional confinement or restraint of a person without that person's consent. False imprisonment differs from kidnapping in that it does not require that a person be moved from one place to another. False imprisonment is not a lesser crime to kidnapping.

  • I would have taken a parachute and jumped out the emergency exit.

That's right, all 19 meters to the ground baby.

  • Lo L.. 19m?.. that's a huge plane. mm-cake

  • i was in a similiar situation at JFK airport in the summer of 2003..my plane arrived from italy at the exact time the blackout happend....after an 8 hour flight..we had to sit on the plane an extra 3 1/2 hours watching episodes of FRIENDS..it was ridiculous...i mean not as bad as they had it but still pretty shitty

  • Fuck that shit. I would get the fuck off that plane.

  • Their first problem was that they had a pilot and not a Captain. For some reason you just can't trust the phrase "This is your pilot speaking..."

  • I would have just walked out fuck them

  • ive been stuck on one but at least they dropped us off in the terminal to sleep on the floor..... the airlines suck now i dont fly anymore because of this. do you hear that airlines i used to fly 3 to 4 times a year now i just take more time off and drive..now maybe if im lucky i fly once a year, but there is no luck in that flying sucks.................................................peace

  • At about 3 hours I would start planning on getting off on my own.

  • From there, there could only be one outcome...

  • Getting arrested? It may actually bring the attention to this incident that it deserves. Though convincing enough people to peaceably leave the plane might prevent arrests from happening.

  • I agree brother
