The Charlotte Hornets DIDN'T have to trade Kobe Bryant for Vlade Divac. The Memphis Grizzlies DIDN'T have to trade Pau Gasol for stale popcorn.

One reason why people dislike the Lakers is because they just have an unfair advantage over the rest of the league, and they can manipulate a team like the Grizzlies to gift wrap Pau Gasol. Not to mention that Phil Jackson would not have been coaching this team for nine years if they weren't located in Los Angeles
