  • that's crazy to score 65 in a game

  • @Diddy02 Where do you play college basketball,i thought so

  • @basketball201120 It's the truth.

  • I saw video the other day of a player named Landon McGarry. Not quite the player as Clarke, but definately a lot of similarities.

  • It is G3

  • He is avg.2o a game and had 24 on Texas the other night......create that BIOTCH!

  • great shooter... props to who ever made the vid... clark cant create own shot which is a big weakness.... If you played a box and 1 or had a good defender or even just an athletic freak, he could be shut down and contained.... won't be a stud in the nba... kind of reminds me of stephen curry,, but stephen curry can create for himself and thats why hes in the nba..

  • Well, as a professional basketball scout for over a decade, I'm going to go ahead and disagree with you. Clarke might not be a great NBA player but that's not what we are talking about.

He's one of the best shooters in college...if not the best.

  • he's been creating his own shot all year and leads the sec in scoring. Texas couldn't even stop him the other night. and what does the nba have to do with anything. nobody said he was the next MJ.

  • @jonathanq17 and what do you mean he "cant create his own shot"? He took numerous people off the dribble and pulled up midrange in this video. He might not be the most athletic, hard to tell with the level of athletes hes playing against in this video and I haven' t seen him before this video, but def can create his own shot.

  • @jonathanq17 bulls#*t he cant create his own shot. How would he score 65 in one game if he couldn't. Most of his shots were with two guys on him dumbass.

  • @jonathanq17 if he is really a good three point shooter, he WILL find a spot on an NBA roster. Maybe not a starring role, but everyone needs a three point shooter in the corner (just look at James Jones in Miami just stands there all day lol)

  • @jonathanq17 if he is really a good three point shooter, he WILL find a spot on an NBA roster. Maybe not a starring role, but everyone needs a three point shooter in the corner (just look at James Jones in Miami just stands there all day lol)

  • he is good on Arkansas ncaa 10

  • man when your in a zone like that you can shoot over anyone. This is an amazing zone he is in!

  • And he's always in it!

  • dude can score but why is he shootin ova 3 people?

  • I think with most players that would be dumb to do, but if you can score over 3 people then might as well.

  • and dkilpatrick31 if u knew anything about his team mates u would kno that he was the team pretty much

  • Hey dkilpatrick where do you play college basketball at?Rotnei starts at Arkansas as a freshman scoring 13 a game!Maybe you can show him some of your pt. skills.lol haha.

  • And he just hit 51 last night. Kid's ridiculous. Not very athletic, but if you can shoot like that you win games for your teammates. That's all that matters.

  • yeah he can shoot lights out... no lie about that... but bein a point guard myself its easy to see this guy don't know what a point guard really is... he passes up so many opportunities to dish it off to wide open teammates its unbelievable... yeah he can make himself look good... but great players know how to make everyone on their team look good... this guy just a good player with a good shot...

  • he didnt play point guard i played against him the state tourney all he did was run in circles through screens and shoot the piss outta all the ball

  • perfect jumpshot and free throw tecchnique, he missed 1 ft all year so far

  • rotnei is a beast, the guy can really score!

he had an awesome game against alabama last week!

  • Larry Bird Jr.

  • it's funny how larry bird seems to be only reference for white dudes...! even adam morrison said it lmfao

  • Dirk Nowitzki ? he is white and has a pretty dam nice jumper and former MVP!!

  • Oh sweet I love how the 65 points are scored on the highschool I go to. Berryhill basketball sucks big ones but you gotta give Rotnei credit he is good, so good he has a street in Verdigris named after him. Good luck in Ark. man

  • trust me he scored 65 I was there and I counted on my phone

  • why is he in the game in the 4th quarter when his teams is up 35..

  • 11 of 12 from 3.12 of 13 ft,10 of 13 from 2.

  • tell me the stats please..

    thanks

  • you counted 37 twice

  • I didn't go through to see if someone had mentioned this before, so I apologize if it has already ben posted but...

I counted 66 points. 37 points was counted twice, both after a 3 pointer and a free-throw on a following foul.

  • dwa it shows what an idiot you are with a comment like that.

  • No I just appreciate the game. That's why i watch the NBA.

  • haha he'll suck in college against REAL skill

  • your fuckin retarded

  • kids good, i didnt know there was that many good people from OK. search brad redford, he can shoot like crazy

  • slimthugga actually check your stats Rotnei is, I think everyone should know who Keiton is and how good he is but hes second behind rotnei on the all time scoring list

  • why did the coach keep him in for so long when they were up by 40 at the half??

  • cuz its somethin coaches do for the senior stars. The seniors want to get as many D1 scholarships they can

  • haha...yeah, you are Youtube's greatest basketball player! I've scouted basketball for over a decade and have never heard of ya...haha. Nothing but haters around here....idiot.

  • All these haters....makes me laugh really. The kids gunna do well on the next level, will shoot the lights out.

  • i think this kid will do well in college but i cant really see him doin too well in the pros. he very slightly reminds me of a young jj reddick.

also he's too short for the sg spot so he can only be a pg so he needs to be able to take care of the rock and dish out dimes and i couldn't see any of that here so.....

anyway, good luck for the future.

  • MacoAsi, of course you aren't going to see footage of him dishing out dimes in a highlight video about him scoring 65 points. He does show a decent handle coming up the court in this video, and others. We're excited for him to be a Hog in Arkansas and can't wait to watch him shoot.

  • The kid is a great shooter and will do well at the next level, he has great court since. I watched the 65 point game several times and found he should have had 66 points. When he reached 37pts. and got fouled, the first free throw should have given him 38pts not 37 shown on the video. Anyway good luck where ever he goes.

  • Yeah, I mean Rotnei is only the leading scorer in history for Oklahoma high school basketball, *averaging* over forty points per game.

  • actually, the leading score in Oklahoma high school basketball history is Keiton Paige... plays 2A ball... averaged almost 50 points a game, reaching 48 point sumthin.. dropped 53 points in this years 2A state championship and took his team Pawnee to victory...

  • wrong go look rotnei beat page by like 100 points or smthing like that

  • Your post makes no sense. And where am I supposed to look? Read what you post before you submit it and look like an idiot, because from what you just posted, your saying Rotnei averaged over 140 points a game. Thats just stupid. And what do you mean by "smthing like that"? You mean your not sure about what you just posted? Anyways... What did Rotnei beat Page "by like 100 points or smthing like that" in?

  • no dumbass you said "actually, the leading score in Oklahoma high school basketball history is Keiton Paige... plays 2A ball... averaged almost 50 points a game, reaching 48 point sumthin.. dropped 53 points in this years 2A state championship and took his team Pawnee to victory" and keiton page isn't even close too be the leading scorer fagot!!!!

  • that post was a couple months ago... my mistake, rotnei was the leading scorer, but what i meant was that keiton had a higher ppg average... thats what i was mentioning in my first reply to highvltg3

  • Ah, I see what you did there. Instead of admitting your mistake, you pretty much said 'Oh well, he sucks anyways.' Good call there chief.

He's going to Arkansas, and he will be good.

  • In the Latest SLam magazine it has LEBRON JAMES quted saying that this dude Clarke is one of the top ballplayers in the nation , and LEBRON would know , Rotnei went to his basketball camp . so DIRTroadLEGEND unless you have more basketball IQ than KING JAMES i suggest you shut your ignorant mouth . your making yourself look like a fool .

  • Rotnei didnt go to Lebron's basketball skills camp, he went to Kobe's shooting guard camp... he told me himself, we aint friends but we are cool with each other... unless your talking about a different camp lebron runs... heres a video from nike of kobe's camp, and at 1:22, clarke is getting interviewd...

  • Actually, Rotnei did go to Lebron's skills camp. Kobe's camp is a precursor to Lebron's camp. I was at both camps and saw and spoke to Rotnei at both.

  • I hear he is going to Tennessee

  • wow, how wrong can you be.

  • The shots this guy is making most people could not make playing by alone in the gym. Don't hate, call the HOGS!!!!!

  • dude look at that all white and weak competition, this guy wont score 1000 points in four years, plus he will get abused on defense by bigger stronger SEC talent.

  • dirtroadlegend, you've posted more than anybody on this one video, so if you don't think much of this kid then just stop watching the vid. You do have your opinion to say whatever you want to say, but if you don't like the way someone plays basketball then why keep watching them?

  • Yeah Sequoyah is good. You haven't even watch the kid play and the competition he has played against so you definitly do not need to be posting this crap. If you won't even watch a highschool game anymore then how do you know if the talent has really dropped off and how can you say that you call it like you see it if you haven't even watched him play in person.

  • dirtroadlegend (where? in the back of your underwear) Can you not see the competition, I don't guess you've seen him play or you would see that hes passes, either that or jealous, do you not see where a lot of these shots are from, NBA range or close. He had 35 in the championship game win against Sequoyah-Tahlequah which I think you would call "truly worthy".

  • sequoyah suppose to be good or sumen ? they use to be back when there were good players and good teams now a days 4A isnt even like it once was. I can barely get myself to watch a HS game these dayz tha talent has really dropped off in oklahoma... FYI i could careless if he scored a 100 a gm and made halfcourt shots with his eyes closed I LOOK AT THA WHOLE PICTURE and when i see him make a 3 with 3 guys on him i think 2 myself wtf doesnt he throw it 2 tha wide open man uder tha goal foralayup

  • weaaaaakkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk !!!

  • Comment removed

  • This guy is amazing!!!!! I hear people say he is going to struggle in the SEC but from what I see he is going to give people fits. I am so glad he is going to be a Razorback. Go Hogs!!!!!

  • whats so amazing? yea he can score but what level of compettion is he playing against? only teams truly worthy in classes 3A On down have been boynton and frontier and maybe eufuala in recent history. hell I scored 45 in a half vs wilburton in 2001 (golf clap) they were horibble so 45 didnt matter , see what im sayin ? so dont get hype cuz some1 who never passes can score vs lower tier competition... hope he does well so on an so on I jus felt it neccessary to point out tha obvious

  • Are you a basketball idiot? I suspect you are. The entire team is guarding Clarke....I don't care if they were blind midgets (okay, maybe that is a bit much), that is an impressive performance. Also, I've seen Rotnei light it up against the best AAU teams in the nation, so again, your opinion is useless.

  • basketball idiot? yea my 2001 ALL - STATE ring has I . D . I . O .T inscripted on it.

  • I don't doubt it...but I'm sure it would have been "inscribed" since "inscripted" is not a word.

  • 4 give me if I think my 20 + years of actually playing tha game tends to have some knowledge behind it . while u were writing with a pen on a pad I was out there doing tha dayum thang. I already been there an done that while u were watching it there and watching that !

  • PLEASE...if I had a dollar everytime some dumb jock told me he could scout talent, I'd be a rich man. There are about 10 people in the world who have college coaches VOLUNTEERING to pay for their opinion on how a kid translates to high major basketball....one of those people is involved in this conversation...it ain't you. Give me a break. You have no idea how a kid translates...which is why you are jealous of Clarke instead of saying he'll be very good at Arkansas. fool.

  • AND WTF IS marc maggard? trust me there is no jealousy I wish him luck and hope he does well I would wish any kid that. like i said I jus call it like i SEE IT . who kno's maybe Ill catch em on tha court sometime this summer and my opinion might change. I've been on tha floor with some of tha best and i've never said to myself i dont belong on tha court with them so if he is as good as they say I will kno in a matter of a few possesions..

  • if rotnei clarke is tha next pat bradley i would say that would be a good career for him at arkansas 10-11 pts a gm... so it depends on what u mean by very good? to me him providing what pat bradley was would be very good for him.

  • and if 5 guys are on him that tell's me (a basketball player ) that there are 4 guys open and I should probably think a little more of my teammates and maybe have a little faith that they can make a layup ! thats jus me but what would i kno about basketball?

  • Well, my 10 years plus as a paid basketball scout trump your dumb ring...lol. I've spent a decade scouting talent for the top colleges in the nation...pardon me if I fail to value your opinion over mine..I've only seen Clarke play 50 plus games against the best talent in the nation.

    Marc Maggard

  • Jordan Mink

  • who is Jordan Mink...LOL. Never heard of him and I scout the top 400 players in the nation every year since 1997.

  • Jordan Mink played in 7 games for 2003 D2 NATIONAL CHAMPS ( Northeastern State ) before dropping out of school. A D1 player with juco grades who prefered life from tha view of a drunken lens or altered state of mind.. END OF STORY !!!

  • sounds like a loser to me. Can't make grades, can't stay sober....sounds just like the kind of guy who gets on youtube and hates on REAL winners.

  • I've seen this kid play three times and its truly amazing he brings it every game. I was there to watched him break the all time scoring record for oklahoma high school last friday night in an area championship game, he had 37 and there was literally two guys on him the whole game, they won the game and are in the state tourney. He averaged around 40 a game for the season. He is the next J.J. Redick or better.

  • this kid is one of the best high school players in the country. in the latest issue of slam magazine, it says that lebron james told him he has a great game.

  • hes the shit

  • Its really amazing to watch this kid

Great shot, good handle, can get anywhere on the court

I'd like to see how many he misses he has in games like this but he is the best shooter I've ever seen, he seems to have what would be my dream game in every highlight i see

It will be really interesting to see what he does next year in college you gotta think he's undersized in such a physical conference but with a shot like that and the heart he seems to possess the sky is the limit for this kid...
