my grandfather bought a 53 Super H (in 53) and 3 years later he was killed by lightning. my dad used it for years. it was the first tractor I ever drove (I was six and scared to death). It was sold about 20 years ago. I'd give anything to have it back!
My great grandfather bought a 53 Super H in 1959 and we had it on the farm until my grandfather sold the cows in 2003 and my stepfathers elderly mother has one on her farm that they have owned since it was brand new and take it to tractor shows as well, great looking tractor though.
hello, i am pretty sure you know a pretty good bit of info on your h, anyways i am restoring mine and do you know if there are gaskets were the rear axles bolt to the transmission case??
reminds me of my unles in northern MI grew up driving to the store on his super H

Beautiful looking Farmall Super H.
My father had an earlier Farmall H and I have always had a "soft spot" for this model of IH tractor.
